Never even heard that this one came out. But regardless of that I loved when skateboarding games were more about the fun of actually performing unbelievable tricks or flying high in the air off of a half-pipe. Nowadays everything has to be realistic.

with a game like skate its kinda hard to beat it. its realistic and skateboarding games are usually bought by skaters or people that used to skake, tony hawk and shaun white games just fall by the wayside exept for hardcore fans or perhaps kids that get it from parents

I remember on the PS1 playing Tony Hawk pro skater 2 and loving every minute of it. Funny how we change eh?
That was the last great THPS game honestly.

In my opinion.

After that I couldn't follow half the moves in it.

DJ Hero is a fine game and I bet DJ Hero 2 is as well. Games like DJ Hero don't sell like Halo so it's safe for it.

But Tony Hawk? Do I smell a dev company shutting down?

Add me to the list of people who didn't even know about the game, and really who wouldn't have cared. For me, Tony Hawk games hit the perfect mix of simplicity and complexity in terms of controls around the end of the PS1/start of the PS2, after that, it felt like they were just trying to knock a new one out each year. See almost every EA sports game.
