Lulzsec: What happens when total self-righteous asshats don't get enough love from anyone (primarily because they're truly unlikable).

Great, these guys actually deserve to get thrown in prison. Some of Anonymous' actions are actually admirable, and as it is such a large group I imagine the ones doing the good things are probably the same sub-section of Anonymous... they dont deserve imprisonment. However these guys are just fucking dicks, they ruin other peoples fun because they want to have fun. Fun at anothers expense is always a fucking dick move. This isnt counting comedians when they rag on audience members because they are doing it for the enjoyment of others and its often deserved because of heckling and such, but these toolsheds are just selfish douchebags.

Anonymous is an internet vigilante group . These people are cyberterrorists out to grab account information of innocent gamers. I actually like to see them get caught.

LulzSec The Lulz Boat
Bethesda, give everyone more info on Skyrim and we'll keep the user database to ourselves. However we are going to embarrass you anyway. :D

Bethesda, we broke into your site over two months ago. We've had all of your Brink users for weeks. Please fix your junk, thanks! ^_^

We're going to release lots of Bethesda/ZeniMax data today - however we might not release their 200,000+ users as we love Call of Cthulhu.

LulzSec The Lulz Boat
Bethesda, add an official LulzSec top hat to Skyrim and we'll remove your admin configurations from our incoming leak. Deal?

Indeed, they are assholes.

However, the OP has failed. Even if you change your password now, LulzSec still has the information.

Op has not failed because if you change passwords now before they release them to the whole internet then they will need to hack it again to get the new one.

Would you care if they gave out the old one after you changed it? no you wouldnt, but you would care if you didnt change it and they gave it out.

OT: I think maybe one of the Lulzsec members saw you all cry out about Skyrim. Well atleast theres a lulz in there someplace....

What the hell did Bethesda do wrong??

These guys make great games (exception of brink).

Will some company/country/Lone hero track these hackers down and destroy them soon so we can all get on with our lives?

If I was Bethesda, I'd go "We'll add a monocle if you play nice with us for now :p"

Now that would be appropriately lulz-worthy.

I don't understand why. What are they trying to prove? Do they think that they're some sort of 'anarchistic vigilante' style hero? There's no need for all of this, and has an impact on a lot of innocent people.
No. They do it for the laughs. It's not moral, it's funny. They would set your house on fire just to see your face when you see your family dead inside. Don't expect them to be "vigilantes" because they are not
Except in real life they're fat nerds who wouldn't dare do that incase one of the three year old girls would twist their piggy little arms and make them cry "Mommy" until the cows come home.
You know that's a stereotype and they would probably kick any of our asses if they wanted too. Please cease and desist with the fart nerd stereotype, it's not accurate at all

Maybe I'm behind on the news, but didn't lulzsec get pwnt a while ago?

EDIT: Wrong group; but seriously, these guys aren't a real threat to anyone... Chances are they're BS'ing "for the lulz".

bullied that girl
Just throwing in a mention, if you're on about Jessi Slaughter, the situation was really exaggerated. They trolled her because she was arrogant, she milked all the sympathy she could get out of it.

68.Please find enclosed everything we took, excluding one thing -
69.200,000+ Brink users. We actually like this company and would
70.like for them to speed up the production of Skyrim, so we'll
71.give them one less thing to worry about. You're welcome! :D
Bethesda information released. They did not include users in the leak. Thats atleast a little good news considering the old passwords and other information wasnt made public to EVERYONE. But still someone besides Bethesda and you have it.

I guess they got tired of hacking FPS games and are moving on to bigger things. Maybe NOW we'll finally get that quickscoping glitch fixed >.>

So... what was released of Beth's?
evrything but users personal information. the Bethesda websites are now even less secure.

43.Greetings Internets,
44.
45.This is a story all about how we made Bethesda Softworks, ZeniMax
46.Media, and everything they own, our ***** for life.
47.
48.As you should know, The Lulz Boat stores vast amounts of booty;
49.much of this booty we don't release as it's simply too shiny and/or
50.delicious. As of late, certain inferior sailing boats have discovered
51.flaws in Brink (brinkthegame.com), thinking themselves exciting and new.
52.
53.Too late. The Lulz Boat controls this ocean, chumps.
54.
55.Some weeks ago, we smashed into Brink with our heavy artillery Lulz
56.Cannons and decided to switch to ninja mode. From our LFI entry point,
57.we acquired command execution via local file inclusion of enemy fleet
58.Apache vessel. We then found that the HTTPD had SSH auth keys, which
59.let our ship SSH into other servers. See where this is going?
60.
61.We then switched to root ammunition rounds.
62.And we rooted... and rooted... and rooted...
63.
64.After mapping their internal network and thoroughly pillaging all of
65.their servers, we grabbed all their source code and database passwords,
66.which we proceeded to shift silently back to our storage deck.
67.
68.Please find enclosed everything we took, excluding one thing -
69.200,000+ Brink users. We actually like this company and would
70.like for them to speed up the production of Skyrim, so we'll
71.give them one less thing to worry about. You're welcome! :D
72.
73.Please keep making awesome games, guys, and you should
74.totally add an official LulzSec top hat to new releases.
75.
76.But anyway, bwahahaha... >:]
