It takes the guys who made the game eight hours to beat it straight through huh? That's good to know. Means that I'll be play for twelve at least, probably more. Looking forward to this game, especially since it's the last time Mark will be The Joker. Sad about that.

Naruto skills:

Thousands of clones of yourself, near unlimited weapons from paper, make drawings come to life, use millions of insects to "eat" your enemies, Telescopic/x-ray vision, breathe fire, burn things with your eyes, send people in their own personal Hell for several days when it's only been a second, and summon a giant animal. Cookie to anyone who's actually willing to step up and name each person that has said ability. :)
Naruto
Tenten
Sai
Neji or Hinata
Sasuke
Itachi
Any one with a contract.

I write Naruto Fanfiction, I could of done that with one hand.
Well done. I just wanted to see if anyone else on this site likes Naruto like I do. So many people can't stand it, or just hate it, that sometimes I feel like I'm the only one.

Epic fail. You forgot about Shino. But then again, everyone forgets about Shino.

Oh right, Shino' a hard Character to write for and a Harder Character to remember.

Team 8 [http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2731239/1/Team_8] is the best example on how to write him.

And you! You call yourself a fan and yet you don't even notice if a secondary character's identity goes unnoticed in your own question.

Shino is crying somewhere....

Thats a very comforting thing to hear at this point, really. An 8 hour campaign completed by a professional is very telling to the amount of content within the game. If I had heard of any less I would've probably been disappointed with how long I've been waiting for this, but now I'm just as greedy for this title as ever.

Dr. McNinja reference from John = winning in a way that is usually reserved for Charlie Sheen.

If they want to promote it maybe they SHOULD put an estimate on how long an ordinary gamer could play through it. I'm certainly hoping for much more than 8 hours of Batman.
If someone who knows ever in and out of the game, where enemies are, where they walk to, which powers you have, etc... without doing ANY second missions (which if like the other game gives you XP, making you level slower and therefore making the game harder) can do it in 8 hours, then would say y our first time run will probabl take you about 20 hours or more.

They promoted it by saying "This game takes atleast 8 hours, and that's by an absoute master of the game. it will take you MUCH longer"

EDIT: 20 hours WAS hyperbole... but you get my point

Silly John, Naruto's not a ninja. No ninja would wear something as dumb as an orange jumpsuit. The camouflage would be awful.

OT: If 8 hours is the speedrun, this should be a decent-lengthed game.
NOT TRUE! He'd blend in very well at a traffic cone storage facility!

OT: I myself prefer longer games. Then again, I like stealth a lot, but I suck at it. So I guess this will be a long game for me. Hehehehe.

That's a fair length for a game like this, just add in the challenge rooms and the trophy hunting and this will be a meaty package

well, to be fair i spent like 3 days (not actuall game play, but playing 3 days roughly 4 or 5 hours a day) doing the main quest, and a whole week doing the riddles, and other stuff, which was fun in itself.

8 hours?

Gonna have to be a rent then.
For the QA people who play the game day in and day out, know every single thing in the game, doing only the core, story missions and no side missions whatsoever. Seriously, people, stop glancing over the news and giving knee-jerk reactions, everythings chill, dude.

In fact, this only heightens my excitement for the game. I've been hanckerin' for a good, solid, single-player focused game, and the original Arkham Asylum was fantabulous, so color me giddy for Arkham City.

You know, of recent they are putting out more and more of these "shortest possible length" crap that may have been nice to know about a few games with unreasonably short stories, but now, I think they're going for those knee-jerkings now for some reason.

So 8 hours for people who have developed a game, which is about equal to 10 hours for more advanced players. 10 hours of story missions isn't great, but better than most. 'course, if the side quests are good (and not of the "oh, I'm gonna set up amazing riddles all over the island, including places I would normally not be able to enter, which the hordes of marauding lunatics will hopefully not mess up, all to show a guy who dresses up like a bat that I, a man who dresses in a green suit with questions marks all over is superior to him" riddler sort), I'm going to be happy.

Naruto is, standard setup, the Hero's plucky comic relief best friend, not a main character.

It's not a knee jerk reaction.

I want replay value in a game purchase. 8 hours to them is about 10 to 11 hours for me. I'm a "buy three or four" games a year kinda guy. If a game doesn't have multiplayer or a long lasting solid campaign, It's basically a pass.

No, it's not.
A speedrun is far, far different than a normal playthrough.
The speedrun of Arkham Asylum is 2 hours, 7 minutes.
I'm pretty sure a normal playthrough of Batman: AA, no matter how godlike you are, is going to take significantly longer than 2 hours.

They didn't claim it was a speedrun though, just playing from a developer's perspective.
