If it's going to be that expensive, then better for me that its release is delayed. I don't have the money for this now...

I predict a 400 dollar AU tag on that easily.
Maybe not so bad, especially with the exchange rate so high. This isn't Word of God, obviously, but the estimated RRP on the EB Games website is $348.

That's a heck of a price...but considering all the shit that it will do plus the entertainment value, portability...that's a heck of a deal.

I'd rather not pay more than ?250 for a handheld... or a console of any kind, really.

Bigger spending than that is reserved exclusively for the PC, for me.

300? AHAHAHAHA! They blew it. I'll take a new ps3 or xbox instead.

Wasn't the PSP like $300 dollars when it came out? I don't see the big deal. I am still getting it.

This thing is...

Backwards compatable with the DS/DSi games.

Includes a Virtual Console with GBA and GB games.

Is getting ports of Gamecube games.

Is recieving a large library of new and long wanted games for itself.

That is FIVE LIBRARIES WORTH OF GAMES.

It also does all of this.

See that is stupid. Right now the Australian dollar buys you 97 cents on the USD. /rage

What's that? It's worth about 300?
Ok then, I'd better get 500 or so handy.
Inevitable price inflation aside, I am looking forward to this- even if it is mostly out of a fanboyish need to play OOT with some of the frustration removed (I hear you won't have to pause to change boots every five seconds in the water temple).
Can't say I care too much about the gimmick innovation they're pushing at us- I mean, I don't dislike the idea, but it's really just more 3D. We are used to 3D by now, and I don't see it making much of a difference to game quality.

You mean to tell me I'll have 3D gaming on the go, and Metroid: Zero Mission and Aria of Sorrow?

I think I just came.

Classic GB/GBA games in 3D?

Lets rewind that. A GBA VC? The GBA was by far one of the best and under-rated consoles to grace man. Sift through the massive ammount of shovelware, and there were gems beyond anything the consoles had to offer...

... and Nintendo is even doing the sifting for us!

At $300, Im willing to invest every damn penny, simply for the GBA VC (because finding those gems for the GBA is getting increasingly harder)

We're looking at tremendous value for money, considering all this, plus its 3D tech. I'll be giving serious consideration to picking one up at launch.

$300 is roughly £190 here in the UK however I would expect a £250 price tag for us Brits. I don't think they would have to balls to charge £300 for a handheld console. As for the virtual console why stop at GBA games, why not have SNES, NES and N64 games?

I love how no-one has mentioned one of it's coolest features, you can take and view 3d photos, that is new tech outside of gaming coming from a company who has made games for over 25 years, this is the start of something big

Shit...my assumption is that when it comes to UK it'll equate to about £170-80. But I don't care, because I want Super Street Fighter IV.
