]Nintendo gave third party devs the chance to develop games for the Wii U and where did that get them?Several devs backing out with bullshit excuses for why they can't develop for the system.

THEY DIDN'T SELL! Why is this so hard to understand? You have seen the numbers on the list I gave you. PEOPLE BY AND LARGE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN NON NINTENDO GAMES ON THE WIIU!

And?That still does'nt explain why third party devs backed out when the Wii U first launched.By then the system could've sold alot more if the third party devs held their part of the deal.

If one publisher didn't make good on its "promise" it would point the finger at that company but nearly all of the big publishers? No sorry this looks more and more like its Nintendos fault, they are obviously toxic to 3rd parties for some reason. There is a huge amount of professional criticism about the hardware inside the Wii U from a wide array of sources, its about time the NDF stopped trying to claim its a conspiracy and also remember publishers owe Nintendo nothing.

Nintendo have a history of sticking their fingers up at partnered companies going all the way back to the 90s, even as far as publicly burning Sony at a conference. Its nothing new so it shouldn't be a surprise.

I have no interest in the Wii U. I had no interest in the Wii (I really hate motion controls). And I can count the number of Wii games that caught my interest on one hand. Currently, the only game on the Wii U that looks good to me is X. Damn, does X look good. I'd love to see it on PS4. But there are plenty of games that won't come to Wii U that I am even more excited for.

With limited income, I can only afford one console. Sorry, but I'm not buying the Wii U for X. Mario holds no sway over me. The only classic Nintendo franchise that interests me is Zelda. Still not enough to warrant a Wii U. So, if Nintendo went third party like Sega, I would be happy. I'm not holding my breath, though.

Sony has TVs, computers, laptops, mp3 players, software

Mircosoft has windows, I don't think I need to say more than that but, they have the Surface and Surface Pro line of tablet/PCs, PC accessories.

So when Nintendo screws up with it's only focus it's a bit more of a problem. I'd assume this is why people think they're going down, I don't think it'll kill them personally but I also don't really think about companies that much

*Spoiler Alert* I didn't. I am perfectly happy that Nintendo has games like X. It gives people with a Wii U a great game to play. You already have great games like Super Mario 3D World (The Completionist Episode on that was great). And I'm sure the next Smash Brothers game will be good.

Would I like to play X? Hell yeah! It looks awesome. But I am perfectly content to play Infamous, Resogun, and Destiny. Because those are some of the games I'm excited to play and people on the Wii U can't play.

If I would claim anyone stole any game, I'd say that Microsoft stole Titanfall from Sony. But half of that is because the Dev team was actively working on a PS4 version and learned about the deal to keep it off PS4 when we did. They were upset about that to say the least. And I don't even care about Titanfall!

I've found myself increasingly having to "defend" Nintendo from some pretty irrational individuals, so I'm still quite baffled how you say they don't exist.

Which brings up something of a conundrum for me, since I've been a PC gamer for a long while now.

Doesn't sound like Sony's going to be missing out on much, anyways. The game doesn't even reach 800p and can't hold a steady 60 FPS, which is probably a greater part of the reason why it's limited to 6v6 multiplayer (rather than "balance" or whatever silly excuse they're still using).

OT, I feel a lot of the exaggeration is Escapist-only. Take a peek at Joystiq and it seems to me to be a lot more positive towards the situation.

And, again, I would point out the massive amounts of hatred that Microsoft got not even a year ago. Any hate for Nintendo has never reached that level. And, if you check out Youtubers like Jontron and his friends at Normal Boots, you would realize that people love Nintendo. Some of Jon's most popular videos are about Nintendo.

I was actually more curious about if it would reach 1080p and 60 FPS. I expect it will sell better on PC. Actually I hope it does. I don't want the developer to suffer for the dirty tactics of EA and Microsoft.

I don't know all the details on how much they would have to pay for licensing on other platforms. I bet Sony or Microsoft would be willing to give them a good deal on that though.

I'll just say it would be very possible. Sega has stayed afloat despite no longer making consoles.
