I SHALL MISS IT!
And the day will be glorious >:D

I've gained a little respect for nintendo after hearing that. They don't need the free advertising, there more well known than that little brat is.

It took a while for me to realise that the "Beeb" you were talking about was a reference to Justin, and not the British Broadcasting Company.

I was thinking, "Huh? Why would the BBC make a film about a Canadian singer?"

He's a kid who got famous because of YouTube.

Let's face it, I'm fairly certain everybody who's ever made their own series of YouTube vids would absolutely LOVE the exact same thing to happen to them...

Y'know, I was going to see JB:NSN just for fifteen seconds of sweet, sweet Nintendo music. But now? Forget it.

British Broadcasting Corporation... :p sorry couldn't resist, used to think the same thing until a few months back (learn a lot at Pub Quizzes). To be honest it wouldn't do Nintendo any damage if they let him use it, but on a personal note I'm glad they didn't simply because of the Halo Reach launch party incident.

Never say never...? Well Nintendo...

*puts on shades*

Just said never...
That joke just made my day. Thank you. I'll send you an elephant as a gift.

On topic:

Good move, Nintendo. I'd LOVE if someone could explain why this kid is so popular. Is his music actually that good? Or did he become popular from some show or movie? Somebody please tell me why this child is loved so much.

Yeah, because Mario totally needs more advertising.

Seriously, who the hell hasn't heard of Mario yet?
If you want a snarky answer, unborn children. Give it a few years, and Nintendo will find a way around the barrier of the womb.

But yeah; this director is an idiot to think Nintendo would want anything to do with movies (Scott Pilgrim film, aside).
*gasps* So THAT'S what the vitality sensor is for!
It all makes sense now!

Hehe Nintendo might have lost a few Bieber fans but gained a lot of haters instead.
In other words, Nintendo's fan base grew by infinity, let's count how many haters me, the internet, any girl with a brain, every not gay guy in the world, smart gays, the terrorists, the army, and the rest of the not idiots

My immediate thought here is that since they are saying "Free advertising" that the issue is they don't want to pay Nintendo to use the music, or don't want to pay Nintendo what it wants.

I'd also guess that other productions like "Scott Pilgrim" paid to use the music.

I don't keep up with The Beeb, so I don't know about his image or what he does. It's possible that Nintendo doesn't want to be associated with him for being a deviant or whatever. I was under the impression he was some young pretty boy, being marketed to teenage girls, but I could be wrong about that, for all I know he bites the heads off snakes in front of inverted crosses, while borrowing his musical style from vintage Ozzy Osbourne. I just never got the impression he was anywhere near as cool as Ozzy from the pictures I've seen though so ummm... I'm still guessing it's a matter of the movie producers not wanting to pay what it would take for the music rights.

Thank you Nintendo! most gamers dislike the zealous, bastardizing, ARSEWIPE! of the modern pop era. he is the epitome of all that is wrong with today's celebrity culture.

the world has gone wrong if someone who works really hard to create magnificent pieces of work (like local bands, independent games company's or even the Beatles if figure's are to be believed)can be overshadowed by a "pretty" kid with a voice synthesizer.

He doesn't deserve a movie let alone The Gamers Anthem!

The Mario Theme is something all gamers hold dear to them and defines us as a passionate social group.

To Bieber fans it might be just be 15 seconds of music but to us gamers it represents us and we don't particually want to be associated with the arse!

PS. nintendo may just be looking after beiber as 15 seconds of The Mario Theme would be a damn sight better than anything beiber came up with.
