I love how the directer talks like an average Bieber fan on Twitter, with full on chat speak.
I also couldn't believe a "professional" doesn't take the time to use full sentences on twitter. I know they have that (lame) 250 letter/word limit thing (I don't use twitter) but it only furthers the idea that Nintendo is better off not letting Beiber use the Nintendo theme.

You need to send bo-bombs to Beiber -- Salt the wound.

Who hasn't heard of Mario? I don't think Nintendo needs any humiliation from this movie. Also why is the director talking like a 13 year old girl who just learn chat speak?

Who is this mario fellow? If only his theme song was in a movie about a teenage pop star. Then I would know who he is!

I actually liked Step Up 2...

But I love Nintendo for this. This movie shouldn't be made. What purpose does it serve? What riveting tale can be told of a 16 year old? Sure, he's famous and very successful, but I don't see how that makes it an interesting movie.

Despite my own distaste for his music, it seems completely absurd not to let them use it.
They clearly don't want to be associated with it. And for good reason.

"aw C'mon Nintendo! Y won't u let us use the Mario theme for 15 secs in the @Justinbieber movie," director Jon M. Chu wrote on Twitter [http://twitter.com/jonmchu/status/26408114655858688]. "talk about free advertising passed up. Oops"
... seriously? What is the director, 14?
Twitter's 140 character limit encourages text lingo and abbreviation, and makes a lot of tweets look like they were made by 14-year-olds. I guess Twitter is one of the factors to blame for poor spelling and grammar.
And yet I've never condensed my writing that that level of shit on twitter.
If you want to say something on twitter make sure you've taken the time to make the thought as succinct as possible.

Nintendo doesn't need advertising on a Justin Bieber movie. They're living fine enough breathing in sales from the Wii and DS, but when the 3DS comes out they are going to start all over again with the money bank being filled up too much. Good for them, they're living the big life. It's not as if they need to do what Sega did and sell Mario games in McDonalds. Now on to more important matters. ... There is a Justin Bieber movie huh? ... Wait what?

All I can say is, good on you Nintendo and fuck Justin Bieber. He deserves a movie just as much as a piece of shit in a toilet bowl.

So I might have just gained some respect for Nintendo.

Also, everyone hates Justin Bieber. His fans aren't people, they're slaves.

I still can't fathom why the twitter is so retarded. Is there possibly a character restraint in play here? It has to have been intentional if not.. but why?

Wah, wah wah...

What's the deal? It's not as though Nintendo has a thing about licensing its music for use in movies; as Scott Pilgrim vs. The World [http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2011/01/20/justin-bieber-nintendo/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+MultiplayerBlog+%28Multiplayer+Blog%29]. No, this is something different, something more personal. Clearly, Nintendo hates the Beeb.
We're comparing Justin Bieber with Scott Pilgrim? BLASPHEMOUS!

That joke just made my day. Thank you. I'll send you an elephant as a gift.

On topic:

Good move, Nintendo. I'd LOVE if someone could explain why this kid is so popular. Is his music actually that good? Or did he become popular from some show or movie? Somebody please tell me why this child is loved so much.
