Yeah, but quirks are not the best indicator. Dumb people are often quirky too.xXGeckoXx said:Exactly.....ZeroMachine said:If by "normal" you mean something else, well... HELL no. No way am I normal. I'm a freakin' nerd![]()

of course we're going to take it literally and what not, we're not normal peopleheadshotcatcher said:EDIT:
Geez, do I have to spell it out for you? ' <- Means something is not to be taken (entirely) literally. Ofcourse theres no such thing as normal but there are various degrees of normality. For example, someone with Down's syndrome is a lot less 'normal' than someone who just wants to have a clean room...

OT: I don't fit in your definition of normal. I OCD with numbers: always has to end in 5 or 0.
Interesting, I might share the feeling. How do you mean slipping?TriggerUnhappy said:Basically this. As for myself, I don't have any noticeable disorders or conditions as far as I know of, so I suppose I'm pretty "normal" as per your definition. Though I do sometimes feel like my mind is slipping at times, so I'm not quite sure...SultanP said:I doubt there are more "normal" people anywhere else, I just think that people usually try to hide their quirks, and as such appear more normal. But everyone has something about them that's a bit off.
I am one of those few intellectual people without that mental quirk.FanofDeath said:Normal people are always the minority in an intelligent forum. At least, that is what I have found. Most intelligent people I meet tend to have a mental quirk because of their intelligence. A way to deal with it, if you would.
Either that, or the water where I live is wonky. I know the air is.
woem said:The thread you base your conclusion on was titled "What's your disorder". How many "normal" people do you think saw the thread, went "meh" and just didn't click it, or at least didn't reply to it?
This thread is void. There is no such thing as "normal". You, yourself have problems and quirks. Some peoples problems are more publicised than others. You're just as messed up as the rest of us.headshotcatcher said:I mean NO offense at ALL to ANYONE who might or might not read this topic. Nor am I trying to brag or whatever.
Being a regular on here for a while I've noticed there are a lot of people who have disorders and manias and OCDs and whatnot. For example when I was browsing a 'What's your disorder' topic a while ago there were like 20 pages and there were no posts that had like a minor thing.
Is it really that 'bad' around here?
Are 'normal' people in the minority over here?
Again: no offense to ANYONE
EDIT:
As you should have been able to read: with normal I mean not having disorders and such..

I don't see how everyone being imperfect is a rejection of normative traits. What's stopping some imperfections from being considered "normal"?Kruxxor said:This thread is void. Well, yeah. You don't get posts on a 'Brag about your worst accidents' thread saying "I stubbed my toe yesterday, and it still hurts a bit ='("sgtshock said:There are no normal people in the disorder threads because no one is going to go there to say something unless it's interesting.
