EA is killing Bioware
It is NOT Bioware developing Genrals 2.
The studio was renamed Bioware Victory after the formal announcement of Generals 2 at the Spike VGA's last year.

You mean C&C Renegade?Jinjer said:Well, here's to EA raping yet another childhood favorite. Srsly, RTS without single player? I only played RTS multi at a few LAN parties back in high school - I have no interest in playing online with a bunch of strangers.
I'd rather they make an old-fashioned C&C game that I need to pay for than a multiplayer fuckup that is name-only with what I once loved and free.
Skirmishes *grumbles* What's next, the C&C FPS?
*looks it up* Well look at that. I only ever payed attention to the RTSsKarelwolfpup said:You mean C&C Renegade?Jinjer said:Well, here's to EA raping yet another childhood favorite. Actually, EA developed the spin-off C&C generals...So, EA are screwing over their own game. Funny.loa said:This is NOT "EA's popular modern warfare RTS franchise", it's Westwood who made it big, made the name mean something.
The buffoons at EA (and somehow bioware is now involved in c&c too...) just shit all over it.
Yeah, but I still liked it. It had a strange feel that reminded me of the good old days. It was nowhere near as good, but it still had a focus on story, slightly. One Shot wonder said:Generals isn't in the universe, it's some stupid 'near future' setting they made up and put on the C&C IP to sell more. It's literally as related to the others as it is to starcraft, and at least they share build mechanics. Generals shares the fact it is an RTS with Tanks, and that's about it.redisforever said:Well, fuck you then, EA. I play the games for the campaigns. What is C&C known for? Cheesy FMV cutscenes, and entertaining story missions. Also:
DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY TIBERIUMS AND RED ALERTS! I'll come down to your offices and eat all your hard drives."We decided to choose Generals as the first set of games we build under the universe, but we'll be expanding after that, like Tiberium and Red Alert as well as some others as well."
Really? I loved it. It was so damn ballsy releasing that in the climate of the time and it had some really great missions in it. Hell, I played through it again a few months ago and it still had its cheesy charm.evilneko said:Isn't Generals the one that absofuckinlutely sucked anyway? The one with shittier AI than any previous C&C game and indeed possibly any previous RTT ever?
Y'know, the one no one would've bought anyway?
