Well, a couple weeks back I was on the phone with somebody I know who is half Mexican. They attempted a Mexican accent. It was honestly the worst accent I'd ever heard and I gave her lots of crap about it.

You are right to assume the reverse is likely; the British hate "aluminum" just as much as you hate aluminium. To me it sounds dopey. I don't have any particular feeling on "garage" though - I've pronounced it both ways, and am still uncertain which is which.

In another case I was somewhat entertained a few years ago when a Frenchman was visiting and made fun of my mother for the accent she sported (Pacific northwest American if you want to know) when she was speaking English. It was one of those "Do you really have the right to make fun of anyone's accent right now Mr. Peppe le Pew?" moments.

That is exactly who I was talking about and I have never had nearly so strong an urge to punch someone based on the sound of their voice. That video was posted a couple of years ago too so the girl is probably in her early twenties realizing how retarded she was while trying and failing to raise a child that has probably done nothing to warrant having such an awful parent. unless she turned out to be infertile in which case that will serve as my proof that there is some kind of benevolent higher power in the universe.

Basically every German dialect. Bavarian in really really horrible, Austrian is just as bad, Swiss German is barely understandable, Saxony German also does not sound cool either.

Well, Cologne dialect is okay, Berlin is fine too.

Oh, this northern German Hamburglike dialect is cool actually.

The by far worst thing is when people try to write their horrible dialect. I am directing my hate concerning this especially at Austrian people.
