Well, the reason I never go on rampages of claiming the brits saying it wrong is because any American version is the alternate version. I am aware of this. As for Aluminum being the wrong one, it is still correct to the science community. I looked it up after raging at the british Billy Mays wanna-be after he said it (which is how I learned of the difference).
The IUPAC adopted the American spelling of sulfur as well, so take that Britland. Flanderized Cockney is pretty ear grating. Also, "African-American vernacular English", not racist.

Aluminium - British
Sulfur - American? To be honest, I thought it came from the original Latin variation. But 'f' over 'ph' looks better in this rare circumstance.

Fake Scottish accents really grind my gears. Real Aberdonian accents as well, but mostly just fake "Scottish" accents. Accents in Scotland vary between neighbourhoods, and yet people will always just go for "Och aye the noo, ya wee bastard".

Unfortunately, I loathe all Southern accents.

This is unfortunate because I live in South Carolina.

I love it when someone foreign speaks English with a thick accent, however I hate it when anyone foreign attempts an English accent. It sounds awful.
I hate the American films where they get a American actor to play a British person... DRIVES ME MAD.

I... I want to vacation near where her daughter *ahem* works.
All seriousness aside, I'd have to say Lois Griffin from Family Guy takes the cake on this particular topic. The episode where they kept saying PETA [The organization] and confused Peter made me laugh so hard.

Megan Fox faking a terrible Southern accent in the trailer for Jonah Hex was enough to turn me off of the movie, and that's saying something.

Also, Vanille's (FFXIII) randomly activated/deactivated Australian accent bothers me, simply because it's quite possibly the least consistent accent I've ever heard.

Seconded

The funny part is that the german government nominated him to be the European Commissioner for Energy...
I'am still trying to find out how someone with seemingly no knowledge of the english language can go for such a job...

People in the media industry seem to think Estonians have some sort of Slavic accent.
WE'RE NOT RUSSIANS DAMNIT!
Makes me rage hard whenever I hear it anywhere.

I hate the Dutch accent. No no, hear me out. I just know that any Dutchman/woman can speak English perfectly. It's not so hard compared to Dutch, really. But sometimes you hear that thick accent: 'Hauw ahr yoo doowing.' I just want to grab that person and repeat the line in the correct way. If he/she repeats it in the wrong way, it's slapping time!

There's a book made out of all the wrong sentences made by politicians in The Netherlands. It's called: 'I always get my sin.' (Okay, I'll explain the title *sigh*.) Getting what you want is translated as: 'Je zin krijgen.' So if you want to say: "I always get what I want!" in Dutch, you'll say: 'Ik krijg altijd mijn zin!'

Of course you can make mistakes in a language. But replacing 'zin' with 'sin' because you think it's the same. You are WRONG, good sir/madam.

I like this one: "We have to suck another lid." (We need to find another member.) Being a member of something is translated as: "Lid zijn van iets." And searching is: "Zoeken." But thinking it sounds like 'sucking' and forgetting what 'lid' has to be in English. Yeah, awkward moment.

A real, thick, Long Island accent is a damn disgusting sound. A slight one isn't too bad but some really hardcore Long Island accents are out there and they just sound so terrible.

here in Newfoundland some of the accents of people who come into St. John's from 'around the bay' can have some brutal accents. My friend from Fogo's accent is really thick, whereas another friend from Dildo (yes, you read that right...it is an actual place) has an accent, but it isn't all that bad.

normally I don't hate anyone for their accent but for some reason I just plain hate that girls voice. In another case I was somewhat entertained a few years ago when a Frenchman was visiting and made fun of my mother for the accent she sported (Pacific northwest American if you want to know) when she was speaking English. It was one of those "Do you really have the right to make fun of anyone's accent right now Mr. Peppe le Pew?" moments.
*watches...waits...feels quite sorry for the mother...*

Okay, she's coming on no- OH MY GOD!!!! Ow my ears!

Seriously, what the fuck is up with that girl (although that's probably for a different topic)

Hearing the british version of many words annoys me like mad. (Yes, I realize the reverse is likely too)
Garage for one. Also Aluminum, which over there is Alumin-i-um. That extra syllable irks me.
You're right, we get even more worked up about it than you do. The lack of the 'I' in Aluminum really gets on our tits.

I can't believe nobody has said this, but scouse.

It ALL sounds like someone who needs to bring up a greenie. Welsh is pretty bad too, it always sounds like they're slightly surprised at what they said at the end of a sentence.

Also, when people do Irish accents, and across 4 words it skips through about 9 counties. Actually really does annoy me.
