Non-Mainstream games your looking forward too?

Tomorrow, the Gundemonium collection hits Steam, and that's about as un-mainstream as it's possible for a game to be without being exclusively on a few floppy disks in the houses of the designers' friends. And it's only ten dollars. And it's pretty much Touhou with an official outside-Japan release.

Eff yeah. And I know a lot of you guys like Touhou, or at least other Japanese games available on Steam (Recettear mostly) so give it a shot. Tomorrow. Or get it on PSN right now.

(At least, it's slated for November 27 for ten dollars for all of them.)

i think you mean sept 27th...

but since you pointed that out, that might be my one game that isn't skyrim or uncharted 3 that i get this fall, thanks for showing that.

Plants vs Zombies would be the closest one to qualify for me. I loved the demo and am just waiting for the price to drop on it. Mind you I wouldn't truly call it non-mainstream. Most people recognize it if only by title.

Everything else I'm looking forward is mainstream (Arkham City, Skyrim, Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3, Starcraft 2 expansions)

I will totally get that, but... doesn't it has more to do with Jamestown at any rate? I don't see any similarity with Recettear.

Journey, Papo & Yo, The Last Guardian, and Quantum Conundrum. There's also the PSN re-release of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and the Shadow of the Colossus/Ico Collection, if those count at all. In fact, add the (very mainstream) Saints Row The Third to that list, and you've pretty much got all of the games that I'm actually looking forward to right now.

The Half-Life 2 Black-Mesa mod, a remake of the original using the source engine. Should be good, since the original hasn't really aged well in comparison to the second.

Half the games in this thread are pretty mainstream. I think people need to look up the definition of "mainstream". Prototype 2? Isn't that published by Activision? You can't really get more mainstream than that...

Anyways, I'm going to say Serious Sam: BFE, The Binding of Issac, and Renegade Ops. All of them look like a damn good time.

I think I may have been incorrect in using the term mainstream. I would think of serious sam as more mainstream than prototype 2 but im basing that off how much I hear about it.
I have heard lots about serious sam but unless I look for it, I can't find anything about prototype 2.

Airline Tycoon 2

Thanks for mentioning that, I enjoyed the hell out of Airline Tycoon: Evolution and have been following to see if a sequel would ever come out. I was overjoyed to see that there was, but I'd almost given up hope of it ever coming out, other than in Germany. If rumours are to be it should be out sometime during the next couple of weeks, thought dates vary a lot, depending on where you look.

Anyway, since it's allowed, I'll say Dark Souls and Metro: Last Light as well, though I hardly consider either of those non-mainstream games.

I'm also looking forward to seeing how the full game version of "Dear Esther" turns out. From what I've seen so far, it looks pretty good.
