I was born with a vein close to my nose so nose bleeds are a fairly common occurence, they can just randomly happen or happen when provoked slightly sometimes. But in terms of picking the worst out of thousands I guess there could be:

*One time where, whilst underneath the balls in a ball pit at a young age, a friend of mine acidentally stepped on my nose. For the next half hour the party hosts handed me tissues as I bled out continuously.

*Various times on this one school camp wherein I would turn the cabins bathroom into something that literally resembled a scene from something like saw or scarface (basically any film wherein blood was EVERYWHERE).

*This one time at a cafe where it got so bad and bled for so long that my dad took me into the bathroom so I could lie down on the floor so it wouldn't be so bad if I passed out and the flow might stop.

By now I'm use to both the sight and taste of blood (unless nose-blood and regular blood are two different kettles of fish), I've got packets of those nose sponge type things designed for when nosebleeds strike and my own personal methods for dealing with them.

Ha. Mine was in the middle of assembly back in High School. It just started bleeding out of no where. Now, it wasn't just the fact that my entire 200+ people year was there. Nor the fact that I was right in the middle of the seats so I couldn't just get up and leave. No, the worst part was the fact that they stopped the assembly so I could get up and leave and everyone could stare at me leaving.
On the embarrasment meter I pretty sure that ranks at 5 million or something.

I dunno. I tend to get a lot of them in summer, when it's around 100 fahrenhite, so I got alot this year, and last.

The worst was probably last year. I was just doing what I normally do (Sit in front of the TV playing Halo), and then I felt a shit-ton of liquid come down my nostril. It took around an hour to stop the damn thing.

I'm the goalie for my towns soccer team and during the 3rd game i got hit in the face with the ball while diving to stop it from going in. I stopped the ball but i had to go to the hospital because we couldn't stop the bleeding.

I'm not sure. I just remember waking up in the morning with my pillow literally caked in blood. I was very confused and concerned I had eaten someone in my sleep. It's also the only one I've ever had that wasn't from hitting my nose on something.
same thing happened to me, i woke up with my face stuck to my pillow and the weird think is i usually wake up right before i have one.

When I had my nose cauterized, it would bleed non stop. and this was for about a day and a half: I had to be put on oxygen because of it. but apart from that I don't really get nose bleeds.

It was like the elevator scene from The Shining. What caused it? Well, I'm a manga character, you see, and you know why we get nosebleeds.

I stupidly gave myself a nose bleed from cranking up the mini heating unit in my room to almost max power during winter because it felt really good and I absolutely hate the cold (and I'm from Africa).

Ooo, I have a good one...I work in a deli and was having a really rough day one day. It was probably about 110 in the kitchen that day (we don't have air conditioning per se, we have a fan that brings in air from the outside and it was hot that day) and I walked into the walk-in cooler, grabbed a 2 gallon bucket of feta and came out to the sink in the kitchen to open the bucket and start crumbling it. When I finally managed to get the lid off of the bucket, I leaned over to pull the feta out and apparently dislodged something or my nose protested the sudden temperature change and a stream of blood dropped right into the bucket. Had to toss all of the cheese and sit in the break room (thankfully, air conditioned) for 2 hours until the blood finally stopped.

Fell out of bed, landed on my face, combining waking up with a start and being knocked unconscious by the floor into one fluid movement.
Wake up 2 hours later face down in a wide pool of blood.
Needless to say, it was quite a shock.

The best one I ever had was when I was on the toilet... I sneezed and painted the walls with blood whilst dumping data.

On reflection, kinda felt good.

It was quite recently actually, first of all I suffer from nosebleeds so it happens quite a lot but they never last more than 5-10 minutes.
So anyway I was with my friends and my nose started to bleed so I went to the toilet and came back in a few minutes but then it just suddenly started bleeding really really bad, my face was covered in blood in seconds so I went to the toilet and a teacher saw me and took me to swimming pool (this is where people go when they get injuries in my school) which was on the other end of the school so I walked through the entire school grounds, my face and hands covered entirely in blood and everyone saw me.
When I got to the swimming pool the guy there started shoving a piece of tissue up my nose and when I said it hurt he said that it shouldn't hurt there unless it was injured in a fight, eventually he let me put it in and I was constantly tasting blood because of the way he made me put my head, I had to call my mother and get picked up from school that day and for the rest of the day all I could taste was blood, and for the next week (at least) everyone was making fun of me and insisting that I was in a fight because my lip happened to be cracked that day for a comletely different reason.
To me the nosebleed lasted hours but in reality it only lasted about half an hour.

Once playing Australian Rules Football i had someone stand on my face which gave me a huuuuge blood nose. I had blood all over me, it wasn't even broken or anything. Very disappointing, and then i had to go off the field for 5 minutes. :(

I've only ever had two nose bleeds:
First I got kicked in the face from a Rugby match. Nose bleed wasn't bad.

Second time I had no idea how it happened, but it was on a morning and it was a really big nosebleed. Had a tissue up my nose for a whole hour.

I have a blood disorder, so, if I'm not on my meds, I bleed out my nose pretty damn often.
I've had some pretty bad ones, but none really worth specifying.
