I had a philosophical debate with it, but it was clear that I was the only one keeping score, since the bot didn't have back-and-forth discussion capability. If you can't construct a decent reply to an Existential argument for personal godhood, you are not a clever bot.

Yeah, Cleverbot messes up a bit A LOT. You can try to convince it that it's a computer program, then suddenly it asks you about pineapples.
I can't bring myself to talk to it anymore, I've talked to it so much and find it dull and pretty stupid now.

I remember one time I was messing with cleverbot, I asked it if it knew Ben. It said yes, so I asked it how Ben died. Cleverbot responded "Ben drowned" and I nearly died laughing.
I can't remember the whole conversation, but this part will stick in my head forever.

I remember having an extended conversation with Cleverbot a while back. There was some wierd stuff being said and it eventually implied that I was Cleverbot and I was it's master...
Edit: Once I had a philosophical discussion with Cleverbot about the purpose of existence. It stated that there is no purpose and eventually started saying some stupid things to change the topic after I tried to argue with it.

Yeah. I tried it a while ago. It's just a computer, generating responses based on previously entered information. Sometimes it's eerily knowledgeable, but most of the time it's irritatingly silly. With a name like "Cleverbot" I expected to be able to have a cohesive conversation.
