I feel that those who says government programs don't work should tell that to Firefighting Squirtle and Wartortle who put their lives on the line everyday. They should also talk to Arcanine and Growlithe who vigilantly protect our streets from criminals like Team Rocket. They are always quick to blame government, but the so-called "evil" government makes it possible for these pokemon to help us protect the people of this great nation. I want them to think before they talk about govenrment because they aren't just berating the politicians, but the hardworking pokemon of this great land.

I mean I would jump on board, but I gotta say, what has Senator Lugia done lately for the Kanto region. All he does is sit around at the bottom of the sea and wait to get caught. My vote is going to Brock Obama he may be a simple gym leader from Pewter city but look.......LOOK.
TBH I think Mewtwo would make a better president, and supereme world overlord.

OT: yeah the trainers in the gym need basic rights, despite the fact that they are bloody useless.

Holy shit, before and while watching the video I was playing SoulSilver in the whirl Islands about to catch Lugia, at least now I know what to name it:
"Senator used Aero Ball"

I keep trying to imagine Lugia running the Oval Office, but I doubt those hardwood floors would last long at the bottom of the ocean...

And now it's time for some nitpicking: The ghosts can be found in Lavender Town, not Saffron City.

In a demcratic world of cats and dogs, Brock caught his Mew. And this inspired others to catch thier Mew Two.

The video was certainly funny.

Nevertheless, the only people they 'got' (as far as this edit goes) were a couple of old folks who may be a bit hard of hearing and not well versed with video games... and someone for whom English wasn't his first language. It's a bit like shooting fish in a barrell.

Hahahaha that's just cruel and hilarious. I liked how the majority of them were just running through the answers with-out a clue about what they were talking about. DAMN YOU SOCI'MON!!!

The is just an excellent example of how people who have no idea what they are talking about just won't shut up.

I have to say that the League needs to crack down on the criminal elements and corruption in the gym system. Just three years ago, the world was rocked by the revelation that the top gym leader was also the leader of a major criminal organization, Rocket. There were rumors that Champion Blue's taking of the vacant gym position was blackmail on Elite Lance's part, so that he could be promoted to Champion, a long-time ambition of his. Rocket is still a major concern; even though League reports stated that Giovanni is no longer heading the organization; just a few months ago, a terrorist cell of Rocket captured the Goldenrod Radio Tower, and held the staff hostage; a situation frighteningly similar to the incident at the Silph Co. building in Saffron City just three years ago. You have to wonder whether these incidents are incompetence or corruption on the part of the new-formed International Police, or whether they are overtaxed with their investigations into terrorist cell Galactic in Sinnoh.

I love looking at the Pokemon world in a serious light.

Yeah... I don't really follow Pokemon, but for the most part I could tell which terms weren't legit.

It wasn't unexpected seeing people on the street just regurgitating mantras and "facts" from whichever side they follow; nodding along about stuff that didn't exist.

It was refreshing to see one or two people at least admit they had no clue what he was talking about instead of going along with it.

I think the guy who was featured toward the end and closing comment about him showed exactly the maturity level of the people who put this together though. He was fairly obviously ESL, and he was saying he hadn't heard anything about it from what he had seen on TV. He didn't think there were people inside his television. I mean, these guys poke fun at: "there aren't people inside the television"; but really, are your favorite sitcom actors sitting on your television acting it out for you? Also, just think about the phrase "make fun of" for two seconds and my point becomes clear.

Sorry, I have a soft spot for language barriers.

The video has some value as far as illustrating the ignorance of the masses. It also might have entertainment value to people who follow pokemon if the comparisons are actually somewhat relevant (???). I mean, all they really did is take advantage of the elderly who are hard-of-hearing, and probably wouldn't have known what he was saying if they were actual people or events they do know about. Then they take advantage of someone who couldn't be expected to distinguish the words as foreign because all of English is probably foreign to him, and so many words in English are a mis-mosh of foreign terms already.

I dunno, it just seems kind-of dumb. To squelch the "but you don't follow pokemon" arguments before they ignite; if they had done the same with Star Wars, WoW, or Tolkien figures and locations, I probably would think the same thing.

Although Admiral Ackbar as Joe Wilson... yeah, I'm sure there's already a demotivator for that.

Sorry to get all political but just a thought.

I never understood this notion that right wingers use that Obama is a "socialist". Not only is Obama WAY WAY WAAAAY far from being one, those who even claim to be socialists half the time aren't.

Further more in many places in the world, including Western Europe, being a socialist is not considered a bad thing.

And no, I'm not a socialist... but I at least know what is it.
Keep any political sentiments out of this thread. This is final.
I know, don't worry. Just an a brief observation that came to me after reading the title, but duly noted for the future.

As for this video, I wouldn't say these people are stupid, since they don't seem like the types who get the joke or its pop culture reference, but regardless it was amusing nonetheless haha!

... I love how that actually sort of works. xD

And also how people don't want to be caught like they don't know what they're talking about so they just pretend to understand.
