Now it's pretty dated in terms of load times, graphics, and other crap like that. If you can get past that stuff, then you totally should get it.

I agree with the people here: get it.

Lots of fun in the game.
And have to agree that there are a lot of interesting side-quests in there too. Like the one where you investigate a painter gone missing. That was awesome.

I didn't like it at all. Glitches and assorted bugs rather soured the experience that I'm not sure I would have enjoyed in the first place.

But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't like it. Try before you buy would be my advice.

Oblivion is pretty awesome, but I still liked Fallout 3 more. Better leveling system, and I just prefer shooting to whacking stuff with a sword.

Still, Oblivion is a must-play. I'd say it should take priority over Fable 3, but that's up to you.

I suggest playing Fallout 3.
It's basically like Oblivion, but in a futuristic setting. You know what that means?

EXPLOSIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The GOTY Deluxe edition is only $25 on Steam, can't go wrong there...

Oblivion is one of the few games that I'd love to wipe my memory of so that I can play it fresh all over again.

Get it.

Get it on Steam so that you get all the add-ons with it.

Knights of the Nine makes the game SO much more playable, even if you aren't into RPGs.

Right, I'll get it, but I'm more of a 360 gamer, and I don't really like mods. I may borrow my friend's first.
Don't worry, I got +500 hours on Oblivion on my Xbox 360, it kicks ass on console aswell.

Fallout 3 wasn't so good though.

I rarely do it, but I'm calling /thread.
wait what does that mean?
It basically means something along the lines of "this comment is the best there ever can be for this thread, thus ending the thread, and the rest of the comments are sandwiches in comparison".

DON'T use it in your own comment, you look like an arrogant arse in my eyes. Using it with others is good.
hahahaha and i just go a warning for making a one word post

Play Morrowind first (also on pc, with mods).
Otherwise you won't be able to see how Oblivion is inferior to it.
Both are pretty good though.
Implying that Morrowind is only pretty good...

Nonetheless, I agree. Play Morrowind first, or else Oblivion will spoil you.

Rent it first (and don't listen to everyone else saying "Buy it now"). If you like it, then get the GOTY Edition if you can find it. Also, the mods are supposedly a hell of a lot of fun (I own the 360 version so no mods for me)

I wanted it really badly, it ate up my life for a while. It kinda lost its charm after a while though when I stepped back and looked at it. It has some significant flaws that some people may or may not be able to overlook. If you can, then go buy it and we'll see you in a year or so while you get 100% completion (not sure if it actually takes that long)
