Im loving it so far (35 hours and only just entered the Strip) but i can't ignore the mass amounts of problems i've been facing. In FO3 the worst bugs i got were getting stuck in a certain position and having to squat, move, jump my way out. In New Vegas however i get at least 2/3 freezes a day which is fucking annoying (once continuously when coming down from Black Mountain meaning i had to walk up the whole thing to talk to Neil the SuperMutant), i've had my companion dissapear (used the elevator in Vault 22 which made Boone appear again if anyone needs help with that), it starts to lag out and slow down after excessive amounts of play (360 btw), lots of animals appear half in ground/half in space, more of those random spinning ufo graphical glitches (I had one in FO3 and have had at least 3 in NV).
Still i love the game but it can't be ignored they dun fucked up on a lot of stuff.

The bugs I've gotten (save for one, which I'll explain) have been minor. It's only crashed a couple times after an auto-save. But just recently (SPOILERS MAY FOLLOW), after completing the first part of The House Always Wins quest, I cannot receive the platinum chip back from Mr. House so that I may use it again somewhere else to finish the second House Always Wins quest. The only solution to this ailment is killing Mr. House and siding with someone else. I really hope I don't have to go through the trouble of killing Caesar's practically-invincible guards again, but I might just do that. I can't believe that Obsidian would not have noticed a bug this serious.

Alright, I've actually read quite a few of these comments and I can see where a lot of you are coming from with your complaints, they're legitimate. It's frustrating to have your immersion ruined by glitches and bugs, it's frustrating to have quests you can't complete because something went wrong. I've been playing New Vegas too, trust me...I know. Thing is though...they're releasing patches, most of the problems seem to be fixed, the bugs are random, it's not like they come up the first time for everyone or even the second or third time through the game, add on that there's SO many different ways to go about everything that even if the glitches DID pop up instantly you'd still have to play through every quest, map location, and mini-game, use every weapon mutliple times against every enemy, and who knows what else to have it show up at all, a testing team of 300? yeah, I wouldn't expect them to have found everything. If you think about it, if they'd tested the game to death to make sure it was bug free it would have taken at LEAST another year...people would have been pissed about the delayed release and there would have STILL been bugs they missed...but guess what? They released it ON TIME, bugs got reported, patches got made, and here we are, two weeks later with the game that would have taken another year to fix if they hadn't gotten it out on time. If you don't enjoy the game, don't you have a 30 day return option or something? Also, those of you complaining that the bugs are the same as from Fallout 3? Unless it's a bug that can't possibly be influenced by the: New weapons, new map data, new armor, or any of the other new stuff I think your argument has more wholes in it than the victim of a full magazine fired from a minigun.

P.S. New Vegas is SO much better than 3...and more true to the orignal feel of the Fallout universe to my mind.

Team of 300 testers? I simply cannot believe that. Or if it's true, can you possibly imagine how horrendously buggy the game must have been BEFORE the testers worked so hard on it??? Anyway, I like thousands of others just want Obsidian to release great, stable games, but when the lead designer comes up with excuses instead of humbly admitting their faults...that doesn't bode well.

So does this mean we get payed by Obsidian now? Cause basically we are doing what the QA guys are getting payed for.
Either that or they could drop the price a bit.

*laughs* 300 testers and no one notices the game locks up frequently or little old ladies fall out of the sky upon exiting Helios 1 (someone else confirmed this too) - don't get me wrong, I love the game but come on :p

We arn't complaining because there is bug. We complain because there is too much bug. Yea, we know the larger the game is harder to code and somethings goes wrong, but everything seems to go wrong in this game.
