Ocarina of Time's Water Temple Won't Suck in 3DS Remake

I didn't think the water temple was that hard and I like long dungeons, it gives me a sence of achievement and satisfaction finally completing them with a fraction of the resources I entered with (not that that has ever been a problem in Zelda).

I think it's a bit of a hyperbole to say that it was an "evil shame", the constant pausing to switch boots was nothing more than a minor annoyance. Still, I'll be happy if they make the touch screen and easily accessable inventory screen.

When I first read the title I was worried that they were going to change the temple entirely, that would have had me raging.

I don't really remember it being all that annoying. Maybe I'm just weird and tolerate some things like that, especially in a game as amazing as OoT was. Hell, I was more annoyed with the Shadow temple that I was with the Water Temple.

After I figured out how to control the water level, I didn't find it to be that bad. I mean, it wasn't the most fun I've ever had, but it could have been a lot worse.

Actually, every water temple in every zelda game has been so bad that upon attempting to play through the games another time I usually give up the second i get to the game's water temple. One of the reasons Wind Waker is the only Zelda game I truly love is because they cut the water temple.

Maybe the Water Temple was a bit frustrating at times. But it was also awesome. Let's not forget that. In fact, it's one of the best dungeons I've ever seen in a game.

But to get into the Shadow Temple, you have to enter the Bottom of the Well, no one loves the well. NO ONE. Whereas the Water Temple is just frustating because of that ONE KEY, the Well is pure nightmare fuel.

Ah, bugger, you hit edit before my smartarse comment, boo :( But I found it a tad annoying having to constantly switch to those finnicky boots while browsing everything with the lens of truth. Couple in those fucking pissant Wallmasters and I liked it significantly less than the Water Temple, which I thought was a fairly challenging puzzle sequence in a game that had largely been fairly linear and battle-driven up to that point, making it more of an adventure epic instead of just a hack-n-slash with exploration and equipment elements.

EDIT: And, whether the Water Temple was annoying or not, it's hard to deny how very memorable it was. There's hardly anything in some of the dungeons that readily come to mind, but we remember the Water Temple, don't we? Think how much of Windwaker would have been improved my making things as complex as the Water Temple, eh? It's difficulty helped make Ocarina of Time as amazing as it was.

YAY!!!!! OCARINA OF TIME!!!
OT: That place was the most annoying part of the game I've mastered it completely but a improved version would be great :D still can't wait for the 3DS

I didn't like the boots but the Water Temple was still probably my favourite. The atmosphere was just amazing.

I'm glad this guy's getting the chance to put this to rest, since I definitely remember hearing about how he was upset by the water temple before.

Personally, I'm looking forward to this a ton: I never fully played through OoT, having tried to make my way through the game in chunks over several years with the LoZ Collecter's edition on the cube. But having the game on a portable system will mean I will be able to play more often, and now I'm looking forward to playing this game at one time, in 3d. So excited.

Am I the only person in the World that didn't have a problem with the Water Temple?.
I enjoyed the Water Temple, but, yes, he was right about the Iron Boots.
Man sounds like he's taking it a bit hard, though. It was just ONE doungen in an otherwise wonderful game.
I hope he steps up the terifying nature of the Shadow Temple though. That needs it.

It wasn't that bad... put the iron boots on a hotkey and would be fine, it's hardly worthy of being a "burning shame."

Hmm... I don't know. I mean, how proud were people once they beat the Water Temple? All that hardship must have made beating the boss that much sweeter, right?
Although I do understand keeping it challenging, and not as tedious. If that's what they're after, I support that.
But making it easier, I don't know. I think that the feeling of being awesome afterwards is worth a few trips with the iron boots, and finding the right button to lower/raise the water level.

I love the Water Temple >_>

I'm still glad to hear this though, they're going in the right direction.

THANK FREAKING G-D! I loved this game (I had it on the Gamecube Collectors Edition), but I accidentally moved the wrong block in this temple, and was stuck and couldnt move on! I wanted to restart, but I was annoyed at how far I had come; how many times I have just barely gotten past something due to my terrible gaming skills. It is things like this that help bring me more faith in Nintendo that they arent just becoming Fisher Price (WII Music).

Am I the only one who didn't find the Water Temple to be that much of a problem? I always thought the Gerudo settlement was much more difficult.
