Official Escapist 2012 Thread

I just came back from a get together with my friends. We watched a bunch of random videos, some My Little Pony episodes, the final battle in Gurren Lagann, The Magic Schoolbus and Gargoyles for nostalgia, and partied so hard that one of the neighbors came up to us and cussed us out.

All in all, it was a pretty good way to start the year

As for goals, just do better than last year I guess. Some personal stuff mixed in with some overall goes like getting all my ideas down and fleshing them out, spending time writing some stuff, do well in school, all that.

Eh, New Years Eve was spent in Wollongong at some club/bar with some mates and having a few drinks. Was an alright night, though I didn't quite have enough alcohol to fully enjoy it. Always liked going to concerts more than clubbing.

As for hopes for the new year, my only real wish is that I don't end up having a breakdown. Got other hopes and dreams and all that bullshit for the year ahead, but that first one is pretty high on the list.

Well Escapist's, as of 12 minutes ago, it's now 2012. So, what are you doing for the new year? Do you have any resolutions? Any hopes and/ or fears for the new year?

I for one am going to Sydney for a week and a bit, which should be fun.

You're in blissful denial. Let me break it down for you man...Sydney blows. It really really sucks. But TRY and have fun!

Both times I've been there I've been harassed, yelled at and generally treated like shit. Not to mention the first thing I saw stepping into the city was a crime scene. Of course, I'm from Melbourne so you can also attribute my hatred to...well...being from Melbourne.
