This. Just goes to show you how many friggin idiots play Black Ops, that so many people would love this map.Daystar Clarion said:Nuketown in BlOps.
Fuck that spawn camping, piece of shit map.
As far as I know it shared one. On Perfect dark they called it 'Felicity'.Verlander said:Apparently Perfect Dark and Goldeneye shared some levels...
OT: I don't really play online FPS, but knowing people that do, I assume it's because they like to have the most hardcore fights where they can prove how mega awesome they are. There will always be mass favourites, sometimes based on other criteria, but I'd imagine mostly this
If you really think about it, 2fort and Sword Base are the same damn thing. Apparently idiots have a taste for symmetry.Neverhoodian said:Ever notice how in multiplayer games there are certain maps that are played so often that you get sick of them? Sometimes it gets so bad that there are dedicated servers running said maps 24/7.
What's your favorite multiplayer titles that suffer from this? I'll start it off with two examples:
Team Fortress 2: 2Fort. God, I hate 2Fort. The battlements are plagued with Snipers, and the entrances to the intel room are narrow chokepoints, perfect for Engineers to turtle with their sentry guns. Because of this, the match frequently ends with a stalemate.
Halo Reach: Sword Base. It mystifies me why this one is so popular, as the map itself is boring as hell. It's just a three story complex made entirely of rectangles and bridges. It's frustrating watching it win the map vote time after time, particularly if there are more interesting maps to choose from like Powerhouse.
I like the glitched swingset, personally. Sends my car flying. And the skate bown under the southern bridge in Algonquin.Distorted Stu said:Not really a level, but, GTA4 - THERE ARE OTHER PLACES OTHER THAN THE AIRPORT
Yeah, Crossfire was pretty stupid, even for domination, I'd say. As for Shipment: ARE YOU Kidding? It's hilarious too play shipment with 3x nades, Martyrdom, and only shotguns, aka, Shit blows Up! I play that once in a while with my friends over LAN; hilarity ensues.Rhymer said:Crossfire - only good gamemode on this is domination, and even that is barely balanced enough to be any fun.
Shipment - yeeeeeeah... 3x frag anyone?
CoD4 by the way, for those who never played it
I don't think 2Fort is that bad if you have a competent team. If you're having trouble, I would run with a soldier, medic, heavy, then a demo or a spy. Spies can be wonderful traveling with a group, as they can sap sentries, scout hallways, and get opportunity backstabs on distracted players.Neverhoodian said:Ever notice how in multiplayer games there are certain maps that are played so often that you get sick of them? I usually find people skip it, which annoys me because I really like it. Good for elimination games. Same with Foundry in AVP, but I guess people just got sick of that one after the demo, even though it's the best map for Aliens.Sinclose said:There's nothing wrong with it, but I don't get why everyone seems to choose 'The Village' in competitive matches in Uncharted 2 every single time it appears. I mean just why?
