I am keeping a very close eye on it as someone who hasn't played it in the PS2. Although once it is released, it has to pass a gauntlet of my personal high-standards for a single player game.
You dare question this games greatness?
How 'high' are your standards, exactly?
My high standards are purely subjective. But it heavily favors a very awesome single-player mode with some nice replayability, and/or mixing things up with some level-up systems.
Here's the list of my game library anyways.
? Action-Adventure:
o Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
o Shadow of the Colossus
o Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
? First-Person Shooter (FPS) ? BioShock
? Hack And Slash:
o Bastion
o Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition
o God of War III
? Life Simulation ? Monster Rancher 2
? Metroidvania ? An Untitled Story
? Platformer ? Super Meat Boy
? Puzzle Platformer:
o Portal 2
o Warp
? Roguelike ? The Binding of Isaac
? Shoot 'Em Up (SHMUP) ? Einhänder
? Tower Defense ? Plants VS Zombies
? Turn-Based Tactics ? Frozen Synapse
? Wide Open Sandbox:
o Batman: Arkham City GOTY Edition
o inFAMOUS 2
That's why Okami caught my sights back then like SotC but was unable to buy. How's the replayability factor and new game+?
