Okami is a third person action game, much in the vein of Zelda. The big difference between the two is that unlike in Zelda, combat in Okami takes place in tiny arenas that form around you and your opponents.Mangles69 said:I've also never played Okami, but heard god things about it. Can you give us some more info on the game Daystar? Like you say its like Zelda but better, but how?
Is it an RPG? 2D scroller? Whats the combat like?
etc
Essentially, you are a Shinto [footnote](Japanese religion that mixes animism, spirituality, and a huge pantheon/bestiary of gods, goddesses, demons and mystical creatures, to put it in simplest of definitions)[/footnote] Goddess reincarnated in the form of the wolf, and you are charged with bringing nature back to it's proper glory and defeating multiple demons hell-bent of making the world a miserable place. But that's just the surface of the plot. Once you get into the game, there are several branching arcs and side stories woven into one large narrative, alongside the Messianic charge of saving the world.Solo-Wing said:... I got a PS2 but no PS3... If you can interest me enough on it I might try to hunt down a PS2 copy...

Does that help?
I think it's from FF13, but I'm not sure. I asked Caramel Frappe for a moving Tonberry avatar, and I received. They're adorable, don't you think?Solo-Wing said:...bluerocker said:Essentially, you are a Shinto [footnote](Japanese religion that mixes animism, spirituality, and a huge pantheon/bestiary of gods, goddesses, demons and mystical creatures, to put it in simplest of definitions)[/footnote] Goddess reincarnated in the form of the wolf, and you are charged with bringing nature back to it's proper glory and defeating multiple demons hell-bent of making the world a miserable place. Not really no
Also where is that avatar from? I fucking love Tonberries.
As a die-hard fan of Zelda, I have to say "Yes to All." It is the second best game I've ever played, Morrowind being the first. In the adventure genre, it is leaps and bounds above any competition.telocaster said:Better Dungeons?Daystar Clarion said:When anyone ever asks me that question, I always answer it the same way.telocaster said:Having never played Okami before(I had a gamecube, sue me), the trailer does make it look like a good game.
Also dat Art Style.
So Daystar, what makes this game so special?
Okami is like The Legend of Zelda.
Only better in every conceivable way.
Better Boss Fights?
Better Music?
Better Exploration?
Better Sidequests?
Better Puzzles?
I am sure it will be fun, I appreciate a game that tries to have it's own identity.
No that is defiantly not from FF13. I beat that game. Same with XIII-2.bluerocker said:I think it's from FF13, but I'm not sure. I asked Caramel Frappe for a moving Tonberry avatar, and I received.
