Plenty of people enjoy a good computer game, that is a given, but as our systems get upgrade/replaced so do the games. Ever look through your collection and dust a game off with the old nostalgic thoughts thinking "Lets give it another go" only to find out it doesn't work because your system is too fast for it.

Tell me your games and why they are special or fun.

For me It would have to be Dungeon Siege, it was a dungeons and dragons like adventure, in a good way. Pick up armor/weapons/spells from dead enemies and either put it on myself or my allies and continue tearing up a path of destruction on the mooks.

It was a good game...a pity I never beat it once I think about it. I enjoy roleplaying games, and if you can find this game and play it, give it a shot, you will not be disappointed.

Don't really have a ton of old games. I wish I could still play Worms Armageddon, but for some reason it won't work on my machine now, even if I try comparability mode. It's not that old, but it crashes anytime I load a game.

Well, I don't really have issues playing them, but I go back and play some old RPGs like Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gate II, and Neverwinter Nights every once in a while.

In my opinion, they're among the best RPGs ever made and I'd encourage everyone to play them at least once.

It was a sweet game too...the card game meets an RPG...

Warlords 3: Darklords Rising. I wasted an incredible amount of time playing that game back on my old Windows 98 machine. It isn't really compatible with XP or Vista/7, so you have to do a couple things to try to get it to run properly, but unfortunately that didn't work on my computer.

Buy Worms Reloaded (Basically Worms Armageddon), it's out on PC on the 26th.

I can't wait.

Also, I want The Lost Vikings to work again... I never finished it.

All of the original Commander Keen games... Monster Bash... Sky Roads... er Warcraft 1 and 2... Gender Wars...

Sure I could get these games working but DOSBOX is so annoying to set up.

Old point-and-click adventure games. Leisure Suit Larry, Space Quest, King's Quest, Quest for Glory, etc. (jesus how many times can you use the word 'quest' in once sentence)
It's not so much that my rig can't handle them, it's more that I just don't like the genre quite as much as I used to.
Besides, I still remember how to beat at least half the old adventure games I played, usually thanks to TV Tropes making some vague reference to the yeti-killing pie or something of the sort.

...My computer probably wouldn't run them anyway.

I pray to god every day for the ability to easily replay Thief 1 and 2 and System Shock 2. It hasn't happened yet.
I want to play Thief 1/2 because Yahtzee plays it, and if he loves it, it must be awesome (I also tried silent hill 2, and I don't like survial horror that much but it was enjoyable)

System Shock 2 should either get its Sequel to end the series like it was suppose to, or a remake for the 360 or PC

I play Thief 1 and 2 on my computer, but then again I'm running XP. On a side note, you'll love those games if you can get them running. Garrett is the most awesome protagonist.

Starseige : Tribes is my game of choice... and someday it'll be re released through Garage Games.... someday

Interesting enough, Garrett is my last name in real life

Betrayal At Krondor. Unbelievable game. Crusaders of the Dark Savant, another classic. And there was another game, I can't remember the name of it, but there were items like Great Sword "Justice," and I believe an item called the Ace of Oblivion. Can't remember the name of it for the life of me.

Magic the gatherring: Shandalar was a fun game, it takes a lot of tweaks to get it to run on XP/Vista though.

System Shock 2: Forced my friends to play coop with me last year, also took a bit of tweaking.

Masters of Magic: An old 'Civilization' esque game where you build up your cities and then lead your armies and heroes into battle, interestingly enough during battle you'd control your platoon in a turn-based RTS and it could be run easily with a good DOS emulator.

*Put on flame resistant gear*
I also just downloaded A tale in the desert [http://www.atitd.com/] Which is an old indie MMO which to my great suprise is still running, its mostly a crafting / social experiment MMO and there is NO combat...at all...

Oooh, I remember DarkStone, the song in the townsquare (If you gave a coin to the musicians) was really catchy.
