Over the years I've vaguely remembered a game from around the late 90s or extremely early 2000s that had a sort of dark circus vibe to it, one I found out about through a flash-based website that had a spooky carnival soundtrack to advertise the game's release. I'm not sure if it was a Japanese title or a western one, or exactly which console it was for, and it may have involved the use of cards as a mechanic.. or at least had a lot of playing card themes in the artwork.

There might have been multiple playable characters, but the only games I could find even close to that arrangement were Loaded/Re-Loaded and Illbleed (which I don't believe to be the game I've got in mind, awesome as they both are), and I can't for the life of me remember much else to help narrow things down. I love that this thread exists and I hope these incredibly generic details can help me at least have a chance hear the soundtrack again!

OK,I've got a challenging one for all of you. I remember when I was very young visiting my grandfather. He had a computer that had a side scroller type game on it that I have a very vague memory of so there may be inaccuracies. I remember the main character being a boy with a slingshot and he had to kill zombies or skeletons or some other thing that would have given me the creeps at that young an age. Also, I seem to recall the energizer bunny or something similar making a cameo appearance and doing something like blowing up or turning into an alien or something of that sort. I just remember being slightly disturbed by the whole thing. It had a very vibrant, gory tone to it. Given my limited memory I haven't been able to find it through google yet. This was probably in the mid 90s.
I know you posted this years ago, I don't know if. Anyone ever replied, but I think that game is Space Quest.

It was an arcade game and I've played it around 1996-1998, but the game may be a bit older. I think it might have had something to do with Sherlock Holmes, but I am not sure. What I remember for sure is that you can choose to solve different tasks in order to progress. One such task was to take a picture of a fast running man (which on later stages changed to cheetah then to a plane and got faster) and you have to capture the picture so that the object must be right in the middle of the screen. Another task was to pump up a balloon really fast (I think you had a set time which is getting less as you go through the levels) in order to burst it and wake up a chicken. There was some trick which involved quessing the hidden object under magician hats, etc...So a kind of puzzle game...

I would really appreciate any help as I am trying to remember the name of the game for weeks and I am getting crazy over it !

Okay, so it's been bugging me for a while, and I just barely remember this game but I loved playing it so much.. I will try to describe it with the best of my ability, but i must warn you i have terrible memory. lol. It was a strategy game of sorts, like age of empires, played it on PC. I remember playing it 06-08, it had very vivid colors, and the landscape was ancient looking, like aztec or mayan style. You could choose between a couple of "tribes" and each had its own really big statue that you controlled that had unique powers, and then smaller "soldiers" that were like robots or something.. I didn't really see any type of human life, it was more of robots or aliens, along those lines.. I'm sorry if that's not a whole lot to go off, i just don't remember :(

There's a lot of bartender simulators, but most of them are what I'd describe as gaudy and bright, not dimly lit. You're probably not thinking of BarSim (since there's no customers), and I think Drunken Masters is a lot newer than that.

Could it be Last Call (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtVbkeFvaSI)? That was released in 2000, but it's pretty close to "late 90's".

I have never played it myself but I do think this might be Demigod. Came out in 2009.

Alrighty, I'm hoping someone here can help me find this game.

It was a game where a boy delivers a magic book to a wizard in the intro cutscene, then as the wizard goes off to do something, the boy fiddles with the book and casts a spell. He sends himself and the wizard to some other world, and in the process turns the wizard into a garden gnome (who you fight at the end). The worlds were things like a jungle world, a music themed world etc and you collected glowing jars for something, but I can't remember what. It was a DOS game, and I had a copy of it years ago on the same CD as Alien Olympics.

It was something like Magician's Apprentice or Sorcerer's Apprentice, but searches for those aren't bringing up the right game.

There's several similar games that come up in Google searches but they're not the right ones. Any ideas anybody?

Greetings.
Need help finding a certain old game please!

I think its safe to assume that its classified as a strategy game in which you build roads and base in the sky.

There are some type of towers that you can build that shoots throughout whole game constantly in same direction once you make them.

Not too much info thats for sure but maybe someone will recognize the game ? :D
That would be "Netstorm" I guess.

PLEASE HELP!
Okay, so I've been trying to remember the name to this game for almost 10 years now and it has been bugging the crap out of me and I won't give up until I find it. I don't remember much about this game, seeing as I was only about 5 or 6 when I last played it. I've gone through a list of every Sega Genesis game ever made (didn't seem very reliable...) and still couldn't find it! The main things that stick out in my mind about it though is that it's on the Sega Genesis, can have 2 players, and I think they're two frogs fighting guys in the sewer with pipes...? The character(s) you're playing as are pretty big on the screen.. I know it's not much to go off of and I'm sorry, but if someone could finally put this searching to an end, I would be most grateful.
Dunno if you still need an answer, but, minus the sewer, sounds like Battle Toad or it's crossover with double dragon. Hope this helps.

I played a short demo packaged with what I believe was an SSI game many years ago. I'm not sure which game included the demo, but it probably came out of one of the AD&D goldbox games, or possibly Eye of the Beholder or Ravenloft: Strahd's Possession.

All I know for sure is that it was overhead view, turn-based, medieval fantasy / sword and sorcery, sort of Warcraft-esque, and at least the one level which was available for play in the demo had you use certain units in the form of blue colored, clay-like humanoids which were used to create various other units and buildings. No idea about anything else.

Maybe some of you can help.
I rememer playing a game when I was young (most likely 1999-2005). The game was on Microsoft Windows and it was a kind of world travelling/explorer type game. You had to help a kid with a rucksack find his explorer dad who keeps leaving clues at iconic world locations e.g. The Leaning Tower of Pisa or The Sydney Opera House. I almost think his name was Max but I wouldnt put money on it. Please help me find the name of this game!

Oh hi.

So, this was around the year 2000, definitely before 2004, probably between 1999 and 2002. It was a PC game. You would always drive an armored vehicle, a tank, and the setting was apparently not Earth, but some other (kinda barren, and blue-ish?) planet. The design of the tanks was kinda futuristic, but not too much. If I'm not mistaken, other tanks would appear and you could attack them. I think the perspective was like 3rd person, but just above the tank.

There's this other PC game, from the Olympics, but it's not any of these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Olympic_video_games From what I remember, the graphics looked like mid 90s. I think for most of the available sports (not many) the camera was almost always static. I think it was called Summer Games (it was not the one from the 80s) or Summer something.

Finally, a Playstation game, I'm 90% certain it was PS1. It was a 3rd person shooter and it had a co-op mode. I believe your characters were cops. The first level started just outside a building that you had to storm, it was a bank robbery or a hostage situation or both, at night.

I've googled all of this before, but no luck. I've rediscovered Motocross Madness 2 and Road Rash on my own, but these are being too tough.

Thank you guys!

I have OCD, I need this for a chronology I'm making of my gaming history thus far :O

Hello!

I'm looking for an old PC game. I remember it was a pay and download from a game website, sometime early 2000s, and it's a gardening/plant game that pre-dates Plants vs. Zombies. In the game, I remember having to plant flowers and cacti and they produced sunlight that you used to buy more plants and defenses against pests and weeds. You sometimes had to dig up rocks in the garden. It had different levels as you proceeded through with different gardening themes, and if I remember right you were helping an old lady restore her gardens. It's killing me because I can't remember the website I found it, or the name of the game, and when I search for it using the stuff I remember I only get Plants vs. Zombies!

Anyone remember this thing? It'll be much appreciated!!!!

thecrow80: The tank game could be Recoil or 3D Power Tank. The Olympics one could be The Games: Summer Challenge (from 1992). The Games - Summer Edition is older (1988).

Summer Challenge, I think that's it! Thanks man!!

Neither of those. The camera was closer (it could be 1st person, but I think it was just a really close 3rd person) and I think the tanks weren't too fast. Jez, how many tank games did they make?

I remember this extremely difficult game for the playstation one. you started off in a small room as a woman (perhaps it was her room where she woke up) and you moved on to another room and there were people by the halls or rooms, can't remember quite much, then you would click one of the triggers and it would make the woman touch her head and kill everyone around. Doing so would make your health lower little by little and i would never figure out what to do after that. I would always die and redo the same thing. I would love to redo it again at an older age knowing maybe i could figure it out now. Hope you guys can help!

Sounds almost exactly like Galerians. The protagonist is male, though.
