Hi, I just read something that made me think about an old game that I can't remember...

I don't have many details about it but this is what I remember:

- I played it in the early 90s, more or less
- The plot was time travel related
- Movement was sort of turn based, meaning if you hit forward you moved a set amount of distance, if you hit right the view turned 90 degrees, etc. It wasn't free movement.
- I think at the start you were at a laboratory, sort of like the Half Life start where you have to get a suit and start an experiment, though I might be mixing stuff here.

I know it's not a lot of detail but if you could help me I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!
any of the Journeyman Project games perhaps? for example

The Journeyman Project 2 - Buried In Time (1995)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1GIyqYEYH8

the "turn-based movement" isn't the turn-based movement as we know it like in a RPG game for example, it's just the way like some adventure games work trying to be more realistic.

Hello everyone. I am looking for some PC games that I played in my childhood (1990's), but I do not find their names.

1 - It was in RPG style. You started the game on a farm and control various characters. If we put in a house, a man and a woman, they would have a child (remember that the boy looked like with the Brazilian football player Ronaldo). I also remember a magician who could explore the terrain and find magical itens and runes (remember that the fireball was the first rune to pick up).

2 - Dungeon type game. I only remember to play with a dwarf, but there were others chars. The ultimate magic is cast with the backspace.

3 - Terror type. We control a vampire. The game was seen from above. We started the game in a cemetery and need blood to survive. We killed monsters in order to get it.

4 - Last one. Shoot type. We played with crazy farmers. We have various types of weapons and explosives. We can kill chickens and people. Similar to the game Blood.

Thank you all!!!

I used to have a cd-rom with a bunch of arcade games on it. one of the games involved a big grid. there were a bunch of red fighter jets that would be bad guys and you would be a grey fighter jet. the red jets would try to trap you on the grid, i can't remember if they could shoot you or not but you could shoot them. does anybody know which game this is?

So this was a game from the early to mid 2000's and it was a top down shooter. You fought against aliens and its was decently bloody. You started outside, but you fought your way inside. I'm pretty sure the building was was a laboratory/office space. I remember the mood of the game being pretty spooky, but that may have been because I was younger. It has a high chance of being a Wildtangent game, so that might help. I've looked for a long time for it, but I can't seem to find it. If anyone has any info, I would appreciate it
not that anyone cares, but I found it.

Ogoid, thanks but the game was not Gabriel Knight.

Think of much lower, poorer quality. Maybe based on a movie (Stephen King sort of?)

I have another request for a lost game...
The game was a Mame 32 game. It was a platformer game like super mario. You were some kind of prehistoric warrior with a weapon like a bladed jo-jo. You fought enemies like goblins and pterodactyls and moved through various landscapes. I remember moving on a wooden bridge overlooking a vast plain with a waterfall. The game had many levels, i never quite finished it...
Hmm... the yo-yo thing reminds me of Rygar [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FK_OQIgIPqw].

This one is a Graphic adventure, style of Monkey Island 1. Very simple graphics, it is NOT in the top 25-100 of these games in Google.

What I remember, is that I was a writer. It was suppossed to be scary and that the beginning of the game you are inside a house.

Any ideas?
With a writer protagonist, my first guess would be Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbjXuPa1uW0].
Stephen King?..then should be

The Dark Half (1992)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ_wzwsiviU
Phantasmagoria is another game that starts out in a mansion type house but the husband is a photographer and that game is done by the king's quest people

That's amazing, you're a walking encyclopedia. I've checked some youtube videos and it's the first one, thanks a bunch!

BTW you're right about the turn based movement, I didn't mean it as in RPGs, I just couldn't find a better way to describe the movement style.

Thanks again!

There was this game that I was not particularly interested when I had the game. I now would like to know what the game was so I can be able to give it another shot.

1. At the start you choose one out of four companions: a vampire, a elf, a demon child, or a mecha-knight
2. you are able to forge and improve weapons (the forging scene was both you and your companion taking turns hammering)
3. If I remember correctly it might have been sort of a dungeon crawler and you will randomly encounter enemies and fight them in turns
4. I think I played the game around 2009 to 2010 I believe

Can anyone think of a game like this?

Ok I've been looking for this game on and off for about 10 years now. It's an old pc game. Set in space on a cruise liner that was adrift and out of contact. The game opens with a cutscene of your ship flying up to the cruise ship. You actually control 3 robotic drones from your ship and never actually enter the ship (to my knowledge (never finished it.)) Once on board you control the 3 drones in a puzzle ensued gameplay. Shortly come across some alien lifeforms that unless you get too close don't bother with you. I think the drones had some sort of cloaking/camouflage. Very early on you come across the ships galley (and to my knowledge the first encounter with and alien.) Once you get past him you transverse through some air ducts and come to the passenger quarters. More aliens and that's about all I can remember. You only had a total of 3 drones and once one was destroyed you would launch a new one from your ship. I think there was a short cutscene showing this. The gameplay felt a lot like games like Dark Fall which I got some years later and new. So I'm pretty sure this game was pre-2000.

Hello, I am looking for a beloved game I used to play, maybe 4+ years ago. It was a browser based game.

From what I can remember, the game was looking down onto a map, with a few large cities and tonnes of towns, some in the desert, forest areas, snowy areas and possibly a few more. The game started by choosing a 'family'(?) For example, a male with gold armor and lives in the plains, or ninjas whose main city is based on a small island in the ocean area in the middle of the map. After choosing, the player can battle around the map, conquering towns and cities to recruit their troops (3 lines of offense, and a infinite line of spares) The players can also purchase horses from the cities and weapons. The gameplay is like playing a tower defense game, that type of movement and visual creation. It wasn't multiplayer. Hope this helps and I hope someone can help me find the name of this game. If I remember anything else, I will edit as soon as.
