I've been looking for ages to identify a demo I played on the pc in the mid to late 90s. It was a wacky races style board game, cartoon like and colourful. You could pick one of several characters and the objective was to roll the dice and race your opponents around different parts of the world. It was of course turn based and the squares on the board could have effects which could help or hinder.
I don't know if it ever made it to full release, I looked out for it but over the years just forgot the name.
Any help would be good.
That's "Dr. Drago's Madcap Chase" (1995).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BnnhanboVE

There's an online remake of the game too. Missing the video sequences though. :)

Holy cow that IS it. Thank you so much, it's been bugging me for years.

So i played this game when I was really young so I don't remember much, but I think it was a RTS type game where you summon monsters, one of the only monsters I can remember though is this rock golem guy that is stuck to the ground, that's really all that I can remember, if you recognise that monster from any game could you please tell me?
The only game that comes to mind would be "Monster Rancher" if not, than looking for similar games might lead you closer to your answer!

*Also, to reply, on the top right of a post is a "quote" button. Click that and it will quote the post in your next reply =)

I REALLY hope someone can help me with finding this game! I'm 99% sure it was on the Dreamcast. It was extremely futuristic and had great graphics for the system. It was arena style deathmatch between hovercars, where you go around a map of your choosing and pick up weapons and power-ups to try and hunt down and destroy your opponent. It was 3-D and the soundtrack consisted of crazy techno and electronic music. I also remember it being unique with how you could drive on the walls and ceiling! You'd go on the ceiling and see your opponent fly past you on the ground, and you'd fight it out between the surfaces until no-one knew what was up and down. It was awesome. I'm vaguely remembering some kind of title befitting of such a game description. Something along the lines of a single 'X' with a dash or something followed by some really futuristic sounding word. The following is just for aiding anyone who is trying to help me with remembering keywords or sparking the memory! 'X-hoverstruction'. Or 'Xenocraft', Or X-plosionics!' Lol. Please help. I'm dying to play that jewel of a game again.
Ok I'm just gonna shotgun you some names here...
Vigilante 8
Killer loop?
Red Dog: Superior Firepower
Magforce racing
and Finally Killer loop.

If none of those than try out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_vehicular_combat_games Towards the bottom it has the games broken down in vehicle type.
If still no go try out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Dreamcast_games That list contains 638 titles though.
I hope this helps! Now to continue my endless search...

I played a PSP game at a young age that I can't remember the name of i remember it had a cliffhanger ending with you and your party on a train and someone was watching you from outside one of the characters was a girl with green hair that u accidently saw naked in a lake so she attacked you with some kind of wind spell and was saying that she promised herself only her husband could see her naked so she wants you to be her husband i cant remember much else I think he had a sister and she was ill or missing or something I'm also pretty sure there was a shop where you could input codes to unlock items if anyone has any ideas on the game name let me know.

Edit*

Okay, having trouble trying to find this game. So heres some bullet points at the top of my head.

- PC Game Circa 90's to 00's
- Detectiveish mystery type game
- Top Down Perspective
- Main gameplay location is in a Mansion during a 'Party'
- You can walk outside and through the mansion
- I believe you are trying to find out who died (Can't fully remember plot)
- Same concept of the "Escape" type games, where it's point and click on items, combine items, use items, and i believe there is an item menu on the bottom of the screen
- You would have to 'talk' with guests to get clues or tips or useless info.
- Main character is White Male (I say this so you can rule out Nancy Drew? lmao and because it might help in narrowing thoughts)
- When you go in a particular room, there are several spaces where there is like acid or something that hurts the main character if you step on it
- (bit of a reach, so don't be held on this) i have a feeling the game started with the letter C or contained Case in it.
- It was included on a double (maybe Triple) disc PC Game Volume. (If you can find this out too, that would be an ultimate bonus, it included a derby game and racing games and other stuff from 90's - 00's)

If i remember anything else, ill add. Thanks.
Bumping my question
Anybody have a thought on this?
I have done a bit more research and found some more clues to the collection it was a part of. One of the games I know for a fact was on that collection or volume was Muscle Car 3. More info on that game here: http://www.ign.com/images/games/muscle-car-3-pc-568657
In my migraine delirium state a game from years ago just popped into my head.
It couldn't by any chance be Betrapped! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J12N13aT81o], could it? It's from 2004 though.

But check it out and if it's not the right one, tell me how does it compare to the game you're looking for.
There can't be that many games that fit your description.

Hello, all

This isn't much to go off of, but when i was a kid (late 90's - early 00's) I remember playing a 3d PC game in which you played a wizard in either a blue or purple robe. If i remember correctly the art style was minimalistic and possibly slightly 'cute'. I thought I still had the case in a box of old PC stuff, but it's nowhere to be found. Any clues / hints would be greatly appreciated! :)
Simon the Sorcerer 3d [http://www.juegomania.org/galeria/pc/2568/56101]? True, not wearing the purple robe, and I wouldn't call the graphics exactly 'cute'. But he did wear a purple robe in first game, if I remember correctly :)

You didn't specify what type of game it was, action, adventure... or system you've played it on, which could maybe help out further.

First off, I really appreciate your help!

It's none of those games. I've been through both of those lists multiple times, but could never find it. I don't know if it's because it's one of the games without a Wiki page, or simply because I'm remembering it on the wrong console. I'm so close to being certain it was Dreamcast, but I was maybe 7 or 8 when I played it? 1999-2001. My memory has surely faded. It may have been called something along the lines of 'Delirium', or 'Pandemonium' but maybe not those words exactly, or a combination of one of those words and another. And it wasn't a racing game. I remember it purely being an arena style, with squarish maps, some having hallway-like corridors. I want to start listing off the types of power-ups, but I don't want to make anything up accidentally. And it has the craziest electro music. Like something you'd hear in underground Germany. Lol.

Darn! Sorry I couldn't make it easy for you!
I know the feeling though. I've SCOURED the online lists of Point and Click games pre-95. I can't seem to find my game anywhere either =(
Feel free to private message me the power up list you have in mind, could possibly job a memory of my own on what your looking for?

It was an old RTS game that came as a demo on my simcity 3000 game. You guys were native americans. The map was a globe and the whole rpund thing was evident.your only resource was wood. Your chiefs could convert your enemies. They would come sit next to them and listen to what the had to say. You had towers that you had to put a guy atop them so it would work.

If uou could help it would be awesome
I think a Populous:The Beginning demo game with SimCity 3000, what you describe definitely sounds like Populous, it was one of my favorite games as a child.

There's a game I'm looking for that I remember borrowing from a friend in exchange for them borrowing Giants Citizen Kabuto, so it must have been somewhere around 2000.

All I remember is that you play a boy who can cast magic, I think it was a top down perspective with sorta cartoony graphics, and throughout the game you could upgrade your hat/magic (One of the first hats I remember getting was a felt hat), I think the game was fairly short and easy and I recall beating the whole thing in a few hours in the same day.

Hi!

First of all, sorry, if someone already had this question, but more than 700 pages of comments is just a little too much for me to browse through...

The game I am looking for was basically (as far as I can remember...) a turn based game, with hex-grid maps. It had offline PvP mode. Unfortunately I don't remember much, but I know, there were flame and water elementals in it, some kind of mages (an old man with a staff that shot lightnings), and (maybe) an invisible man. Of course there were other characters as well, but I can't really recall them.

It was something like the old Heroes games (the characters could move X tiles in each round and had some kind of attack), but it WASN'T one! I am sure! There were no base management or exploration, just the fights with these nicely animated characters.

I know it's not much I can remember, but if anyone had any idea I would greatly appreciate it since I tried really hard to find it using google with no luck so far... We used to play this game with my friends a lot and I really want to find it. :)

Thanks!

Hi, not sure of its been asked before because I'm not gonna go looking through 700 pages of comments. But the game was for a school PC and from what I remember you had to find crystals or diamonds but to get there you had to do a lot of puzzles and solve riddles and stuff. Not a great description but if it rings any bells with anyone that would be great. More than likely will be known by anyone in UK / Ireland. Hope someone can help driving me crazy.

Ok I'm starting to think that maybe you had a dreamcast at the time but this game was on the PS1?
I looked up some more on your game and I came upon descent. The multiplayer part of the game was arena battle style, some with different game modes.
It included all kinds of powerups and the second one had even more.
The only thing that I don't think matched up was the ability to drive on the ceiling
I looked up the soundtrack to the second one and....well skip to exactly 7 minutes in this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UGGojdnjSc

Hi. So, this is about 10 years ago that I last saw my uncle play this game. You're in a haunted mansion fighting ghosts but you also collect the souls of the ghosts, and sometimes the objects would randomly fly towards you or so, but I keep getting lost whether the character was a mouse or a human, but yeah... I hope this somewhat helps... And for console, well, uncle used to play metal slug, so it's either the ps console or neo-geo... Thanks in advance~!

Hi, looking for a game that is played on a pc, probably win 98 and above and booted from a floppy disks, the smaller version.

The games goes something like this:
You start by picking the number of players(1-10?) and then pick characters from a range of characters(there are two sides). Each character has a different skill set where you can press certain keys to trigger it or just press the attack key. Each player are given different keys like one would be the arrow keys and the other one would be the WASD keys. It is level based, where you fight monsters and other npc characters to head to the next level. I remember during one of the final levels, there was a "twist" where the opponent npc will join your team to help you defeat the boss. I also remember this game being 2D, probably 8-bit-ish, colored, and you can move in all directions until you reach the end of the screen, or the "map".

I know the game sounds really generic like any other game you can probably get today, so if anyone can remember it, it'll be much appreciated! Thanks! - MiLo

Hello, the game i'm looking for is for original xbox(2001). I remember i played with other person so had multiplayer/single-player and was a fighting game in a battleground, i think was free for all of 4 players. I think had 1 character like a ninja but the others were different and had different skills and after sometime i think you could use a special skill. The characters were like chibis and not like street fighter/tekken/etc. Thx!

Hey
I've been looking for this game for a while now and was wondering if anyone here could help me out,

I first played the game on mofunzone years ago. You were a dragon in the game and you flew throughout the levels fighting different bosses. The entire game you were flying in a straight line and the story in itself was very linear. One of the levels was above water and you had to attack the water monster every time it jumped up I think and another level you fought a large multi-legged monster creature. At the end you versed the final boss which was another dragon and after you beat him you would continue to fly straight until you decided to close the tab,

The character you played was a dragon and I think it was an off-white/ grey colored dragon and it was much smaller compared to the monsters you fought. The game mechanics were flying up and down and attacking. I'm pretty sure you could also get power-ups as you were flying. I think the character stayed in flight the entire time. And if I remember correctly the music was almost calming and one of the bosses, the one with multiple legs I think, made whale sounds every time you attacked her.

Thanks!!
