Right, there's an old PC game I played where you start in what seems like the gardens of a Japanese castle in the middle of the night, the initial weapons are a bat and a gun i think, and the enemies at least in the first level are some kind of ninja (you only see a black silhouette with red eyes hopping around). The game played like doom (2.5D)

I'm not sure if this is of the same game but the whenever I think of this the image of the disc being red with the image of a brain with two eyeballs comes to mind (think of starfox64 Andross true form)

the title having "Dr." somewhere (?) I'm way too unsure about that last part

Hello everyone! I remember playing a medieval strategy game in the period 2006-2007 I think. In the game as far as I remember you could build castles.I also remember that there was a knight in the menu and I also think that there were some kind of cards. I can tell you that the game isn't any of the Age of empires,Stronghold,Settlers or Lords of the Realm
Thanks in advance. :)
The platform was PC
Medieval 2 : Total War ?

So I trying to find this Arkanoid / Breakout style game in a fantasy setting. It was something the player controlling this wand which was your board for reflecting the balls.

Your goal were to save a princess, and your enemies were some troll like creatures and dinosaur like birds. I played it sometime between 1999 and 2006 on pc (probably on a windows 95 / 98 machine).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I bloody love this thread. I can practically feel the excitement and happiness people get from rediscovering those lost games :)

Maybe ill be as lucky :).

Old 3D adventure RPG.

Medieval fantasy setting.

You play a character that has been infected or otherwise contaminated, and as you progress (could be time bound) you gradually lose your human form to something more beastly. i remember it having 2 stages at least (might be 3 if complete human was possible). i believe the upside was that you were stronger, the downside was no npc would talk to you and hence you couldnt continue the story.
There was a way to reverse to a less beastly state, but u had to drink water that was blessed? holy? at the cost of a chunk of your healthbar.
It had some basic swordplay in it, and i believe different weapons could be used.
There was also a tavern where you could play a form of reversi.

considering the sparseness of my info, google doesnt get me anywhere, and the lists of games i found stretch decades.
I played it on PC, ps1 comparable graphics... mightve been around the same time as FX fighter so 1995 ish.

would be such a blast if someone could shed some light on this :)
I'm going to guess either Lands of Lore: Guardians of Destiny, or Vampire: The Masquerade: Redemption.
neither it seems, lands of lore seems to be quite quirky, and vamp was way after. The game seemed dark and gritty to me, progression was slow and the storyline was about you as a hero/antihero managing your curse, either being beastly and strong, or more human and able to talk to people. slow like FF, action like resident evil 1/2 is how i would describe it...

Hi guys,

can anyone help any further here? I am looking for the same game.
The description from the user Molantaki is pretty much what I can remember from the game.

It was a 3D fantasy action RPG. I played it on PC, after playing Monkey Island 2. The year should be from 95-96 onwards.

I remember that in the game you did not have the chance to customise your character.
Dark/decadent environment.
You had a lot of freedom in the game, you were allowed to kill everyone if you wanted to. At your risk, because you could have killed an important character.

Also, I remember that to win new weapons, you had to play a sort of draughts.
You could choose different weapons (the axe was slower than the sword), and if I'm not mistaken, after a while the weapons could be damaged for the use.

Maybe the plot referred to a guild or a group called "the Walkers".
Anyway, as said earlier, the main plot was this protagonist being infected and able to turn into a beast.
Playing as a beast you were stronger, but after a while you couldn't go back human anymore.

Thank you in advance!
Guys, I'm pretty sure the game you are looking for is Dark Earth from 1997. Here's the Wikipedia entry.

This game is most likely The Fortress of Dr. Radiaki from 1994. Here is the Wikipedia entry.

This ones a very long shot, and i can only explain it very vaguely. This was over 10 years ago, it was a 2d platformer, it was 2player. You start the first level by coming on a train, with graffiti on it possibly? And maybe the intro screen was similar to that. You enter a huge complex, you can go underwater, and fight enemies. But the main objective is to get to the top of the first level. That is all i have, it's so so so vague so i don't expect anyone to ever get this! Don't remember the console, think its before ps1, or ps1.

I am trying to think of a certain mobile game, maybe someone can tell me what it is called. What I remember is that it was set in the future in what I am assuming was Japan. In this future the humans live underground because some kind of alien/monster's have taken the surface. You are part of some kind of guardian group whom go to the surface and fight against monsters for the surface and whenever you defeat a boss you start to learn that the Boss Monsters were once humans, and every time you defeat one they become humans again. Also your character has a rare double drive ability meaning he can use more than one power at a time or something like that. It may be for only iPhone which may be why I can not find it anymore haha

I remember a PC Fantasy RPG from the late 90s-early 2000s. You start out as a normal guy (Jack, I believe). You are watching TV and an otherwordly being comes and sucks you into a medieval land. You can play 3 types of characters. Warrior, wizard, and conjurer. You then proceed through different quests, fighting ever stronger bosses at the end of each "stage". You collect items, armor, spells...etc. It was your standard RPG, but, I remember having a blast with it.

Sorry the summary isn't very detailed. I just can't seem to remember the name of the game.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Rex

No, WizOrb is from 2011, though i do agree the theme are similar. The one I'm looking for is far older, before 2006.

Can anyone please help me!

I've been thinking about this game for a while now but i can't find anything of it on the internet and seems kinda gone from existente, I also can't remember the name so that's why I'm here.

-It's a 2D point and click adventure game
-It's a PC game, I think from the 90's
-It's a cartoony style art
-Protagonists are a boy and girl and a alien that crashed down
-The alien eats music-notes has a T shaped head with eyes on each end and is grey.
-In the game you can click a lot of things and they produce said music-notes.
-At one part in the game you try to find a "magic" baton for a conductor and the conductor claims he has no talent, you accidentally give an normal baton and the conductor conducts just fine.

I can't think of anything else other then that the boy and girl live at their grandfathers house who is an astrologist.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

That's Westwood's "Nox" (2000).

Know what, it's probably still "on the house" in EA's Origin Store. Get it, while you can.

https://www.origin.com/en-de/store/free-games/on-the-house

It's probably a pain in the ass to make it work on current systems though, if it will at all.
An old retro PC is recommended.

Alternatively you could get the GOG version here:

https://www.gog.com/game/nox

But do read the comments regarding compatibility on nowadays machines.

That's it, thank you for your help Pixelhunter. I downloaded the EA version and it runs fairly well on my laptop. There are a few minor stuttering glitches. Both with the graphics and the sound. But, not enough to take away from the enjoyment of the game.

Thank you again,

Rex

I'm hoping someone will be able to tell me the name of a game I played as a kid. I remember some of it but not in great detail the way I do with Doom and Caesar III. It involved moving through a town. The view was first person and it was a PC game. There were numerous buildings such as guilds and possibly a tavern. There was also a map in the game manual that showed the layout of the town with each building numbered and a legend that told what each of those buildings were. I played it in the mid to late 90's though I'm not sure if that's when it was released. I think it was 2D. There was a quest aspect but I can't remember any specifics. Obviously it didn't make as much of an impression on me as the other games I played but I would still like to know what the name of that game was. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

Need some one to help to find a game I can't remember the name.

I played the game on PS1, it was a futuristic vehicles like tanks combat game, you play from First Perspective. And as I remember you can deploy other friendly vehicles, and maybe some buildings(not sure).

Oh, and I remember the box art of the game was a buried human skeleton, I hope that help.

Sorry for my weak language!

There was a game that I am fairly certain was PlayStation (not sure if 1 or 2) that I played when I was younger that actually belonged to a friend, so I never got a chance to look at the game case or anything. I remember it involved a character that could bring these mummy looking dolls to life with crystals, and this being an ability exclusive to only a few people (or at the very least, wasn't something his friends could do.) The game itself played on a battle grid, similar to final fantasy tactics and other such games, and you could level the dolls or evolve them using the crystals. I tried reading through the thread, but could have easily missed if someone else already asked about this game. Not sure if helpful or hurtful for the investigation, but I believe the menu screen was shaded red and had an large eye centered on it, so for the longest time I thought the game was called crimson eyes, but looking up that name turns up nothing related to the game.

I'm trying to find an old PC game, it was similar to megaman but I think the character you play as is white.
It is a jump and shoot game, has some puzzles in it I think. I recall a certain point in the game where there are hidden stairs that are invisible. Don't remember too much else about it. I've been looking for it everywhere with no luck, I'd really appreciate any help in finding it. I'd know it immediately if I saw a picture of it. Anyone else remember this game?

Dude thanks that's the one!

Here's another one, is an old 2D game (came in a floppy xD) I remember the intro being a guy going by car to some kind of depot, puts a password into a pad and enter, one of the enemies is a black worm if it gets too close it gets up, produces a fang (?) and slashes you, the weapons are punches, a bat and a gun, at some point you fight a lion (?) that tries to eat you.

I remember the game being usually very dark, (one of the places being a cave and such), and the being kinda creepy.

Hi! I'm looking for a game that I played a while ago. It's an online game that you can play on a website. The game is not from first person view. It's 2D, and you can move around by just moving your mouse. In it, you are some kind of sea creature that has tentacles like an octopus. You do not know much about the world. The narration talks about how you've never interacted with anything outside of the sea, and that the world above the ocean is fascinating to you.
At a certain point when the narration is done, somehow a human baby falls into the water from a helicopter, I believe. You (the sea creature) just stay there looking at the baby because you've never seen a human before. Then, a shark slowly starts swimming up to the baby and you have to try and save it in time, and fight away the shark. Depending on the choices you make in the game, there are 5 different endings. I know one of the endings is if you fail to save the baby and the baby dies.
Please help me find this game if anyone knows it ! I'm dying to figure it out, I desperately want to find it. Thank you!!
