Hi, Google kept bringing me to different pages in this thread, but nothing turned up so I thought I would post my game.

This was a game I played at the end of the '90s. It was most likely on windows 95 because I played it at my "Kids Klub" when I was in elementary school. From what I remember you were a guy moving up/down/left/right to try and remove pieces of ground to drop either diamonds/gems/rocks of some kind so they would fall in a particular place. I don't remember if you were trying to make them all touch the ground or what. but if you got stuck or a gem fell on your head you would die. You could out run them by pressing/holding down real fast and run out of the fall path. There were a bunch of different levels. The camera was face like like Dig Dug. Here is a drawing I made that semi-represents it:

the person is who you control. The diamonds represent whatever it was that you made fall into place. The gray represents blocks that could not be moved. The black represents the ground material that you have erased by moving on it.

Any ideas? I remember a kid and I used to fight all the time about who got to play it, it was very addicting!

Thanks for any help!
Was that Repton?

Re-Post:

Hi there new here and this place I think is my last hope because I aint found this game anywhere *sigh*

I remember a game where you start (well this is where my memory starts) on a ship and you go to your room and wake up to the ship under attack and you have a timer on the top of the screen and depending on how quick you get to the bridge and win the battle changes the story. There are moments like this throughout the game where doing battles in a certain time change the outcome of the story. If I remember correctly there is a dude that looks kind of like a tiger in it?

It's not breath of fire III cos the starting is way different and I remember that game (has tiger looking dude only reason I mention this)

And I am sure it isn't Alundra even though you start on a ship there as well. I would love it to be Alundra cos then my search would be over lol.

I hope someone can help me with this and thank you in advance :).

Wraythe.

EDIT: should point out this was a PSone game.

My memory cells are not cooperating! Trying to find the name of an old game with these charactersitics: front page was levels of a "castle" with many little arched brown doors, only one of which is accessible. Behind each door is a maze of stepping stones. Character must reach the goal by negotiating the maze, collecting something I remember as an etheral blob (ghost??) along the way. Sometimes the stepping stones disappeared when walked on so you couldn't retrace your steps. Can't remember the platform, but most likely it was a downloadable computer game, mac compatible.

I've been wondering about a game for a while. It has been quite a while since i played (probably close to ten years) and i can't remember its name. It was a game where different insects fought each other. One species was yellow and that was the one that the player was most often (in my memory at least) and they were like beetles or something and they had cannons and they attacked other species and colonies. Another species were the spiders with the black widows who may or may not have been green. I know that you controlled the bugs from a bird's eye view and it is an RTS. Thats pretty much all i can remember about it, but if anyone could help me think of this game, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, thank you for reading my post!

Unfortunately it is not Repton that I Was thinking of, but the good news is I took a look at Repton on youtube, and it is almost exactly the same game! The one I was thinking of showed the entire screen at one time (versus repton where you move around and see about 15% of the map at one time. Plus the game I am thinking of was more of a gray border and rock, green/brown ground (im colorblind, so I cant remember which one) and red jewels, thats about it for color.

With the knowledge of Repton though I will be able to search for "repton-like" games. Thanks a bunch!

Sure you aren't looking for Boulder-Dash? If it's not Repton then that would be my next port of call.

Hey y'all!
Was hoping someone could aid me in my eternal quest to find this god forsaken game!
I'm fairly sure it was a DOS game, you we're a man who could transform into different beings, every being had a specific power that would unlock the next part of the game. I can't remember it very clearly, but i think atleast, one was a multi armed bear, who had super strength, there was some dwarf like creature which allowed you to walk under things to progress, and i remember at one point you had to place some magic seeds or something alike, which formed a bridge over some water that you could'nt pass otherwise. I think there was a beholder aswell, big multi eyed monster which allowed you to fly.
Ofcourse i could be mixing several games up, but i'm pretty sure it's just one and the same game, it was like a puzzle / rpg / action game.

To use the transformation powers, you had to defeat a boss, to get a crystal to be able to transform, and all the different bosses were as said these different beings that required certain tactics, the first one was the multi armed bear, you had to kick him til' he was defeated. But yeah, that's as much as i know!

Sorry for wall of text and i hope someone atleast has a tad bit of an idea of what i'm babbeling about! Appreciate any response, would also be pleased if you mailed the information to me, or just wrote it on here.
"[email protected]" <- Email.
Thanks!

Still not the exact one, but much closer! Thank you so much! I think this is as close as it gets without being the same game I was thinking about.

There is a game I remember from when I was like five or six so, that makes it around 2000 or 1999. The game could have came out before that but, I just remember playing it on an old PC or Mac when I was that young. Anyways the game involves a boy solving mazes or puzzles trying to save his dog. The dog might have been kidnapped or maybe abducted by aliens and that's why your trying to save him. There were movable obstacles, but if they happened to hit the dog and it died your character would also die. The only other thing I remember about it was that it had a level/maze that involved moving a ton of balls that were either blue or purple.

Another searcher..... (as in I am one)

Hey Guys,

So there is this PC game that I used to play where you had these different characters each with a different type of attack, you catapult each of these characters into the place you want and then it attacks these monster looking cahracters. these characters level up with each enemy killed. I remember that one of the characters had a bo and arow. I also remember that the first level was in some green hills with edges you can fall from. one of the monsters was yello and there wass this cave where i think they came out from. there was this trick were you use this huge boulder to block the monster way and hit him without him hitting you.

I hope these info can help anyone remember this game.

thank you and please help me

I've been trying to find a game for a while now.
If memory serves me correct it was a CDI game.

It has a cartoony style.
Puzzle Adventure.
you viewed one area from the side view at the time.
Whenever you died it happend in a gruesome funny way.
you could see your character moving about the screen.

That's about all I can remember about it =(.
Hopefully someone knows what game I'm talking about ^^.

I can't remember this game and it was very fun. it was an adventure/strategy game. There was a boy who ends up in a wierd place. He also plays with a PSP if you dont do anything. and then a wizard pops up named T.O.M (the old man) and then the boy soon finds a group, i think named the "paradox" i think, not sure, maybe. and then he fights a clone of himself and you have to click these "multiple choice sentence" and try to defeat him. and at the end you fight T.O.M for mocking his power. and then the boy goes into a portal if you defeat t.o.m oh and at the end during the battle T.O.M becomes a beast. just in case anyone might remember that. so please help me so i can play it. TEXT THE NAME OF THE GAME TO 832-794-6648. fyi my dad is a cop HPD ( HOUSTON POLICE DEPT.) so i suggest you watch yourself and don't say anything or do anything illegal.

I remember playing this PS1 game, I think it was an adventure game mixed with a bit of RPG. There was a boy and a girl, the boy could kill the monsters with meele atacks and then the monsters would drop a coin with their face in it, and if you used that you could transform into the monster. I remember a level where there was ice blocking the path so you had to become some sort of salamander that could breathe fire to melt the ice. The girl used 2 round things on her hands to cast magic. I also remember this snowy town where you could challange a weird guy to a duel .-. Aside from that I can't really discribe it very well because my memory of this game is kinda fuzzy because I was really young, so I would appreciate any help you can give :D I'm not very sure of it but I think the boy had a house and lived alone and you could sleep and eat in it. Somehow when I think of this game it reminds me of Radiata Stories.
