Hi everyone,
I've been searching for years to find this certain game I used to play on PC.
It was an MS DOS shooter type of game, very similar to doom and blood, etc, with the graphics looking very much like rise of the triad. My most vivid memories are being in some sort of science building and there's a scientist working on an alien - who then jumps on and kills the scientist, smashing the glass. This is the intro to the game if I remember correctly.
There's a subway/metro type area too and as far as I can remember, not all enemies are aliens, they're human too.
There's a variety of weapons to use from pistols to an electric claw type weapon.
I hope this rings a bell for someone, I would be eternally grateful!
Bumped! Any help?
It sounds like Half Life. Although it's not a MS Dos shooter, it matches the description perfectly. It was the first game where the enemy (soldiers who try to hush up the failure of an experiment) has some AI by taking cover during an assault.

Sounds Half-Lifey, but with Doom graphics? Could be
Corridor 7. Though no scientist-thrown-through-a-window + human enemies in that game, but uses the same engine as Wolfenstein 3D.

The first I remember playing it at the same time as Rodent's Revenge, Pipe Dream, Chip's Challenge, Jezzball and other games in the Microsoft Entertainment Packs. It is a sidescrolling platformer where you play some kind of young vampire kid. I don't remember much other than that unfortunately.
Weirdly, for such a niche topic, a very incomplete list exists on Wikipedia [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_vampire_video_games].
The closest game to the era + genre + platform (I'm assuming MS-DOS/Windows '95) from that list would be
Night Hunter. You can change into a wolf or bat, apparently, which seems remarkably similar to
Legacy of Kain...
