Hi,

I'm looking for an old DOS game but I can't remember its name anymore.

The game was about bombs.
You started on the left of the map (platformer) inside a little house (however the house was part of the map, i.e. you didn't leave the map when leaving the house, everything was connected) and you could pick up all kinds of different bomb types. (cartoonish style bombs, round with a cord on top)
I think it also had a 2 player mode.

The goal was to walk to the right side of the map I think, but with the bombs you could pretty much blow up everything on the map.
I remember being able to gain momentum and jump very high, the bomb types also varied from weak to a super bomb that would explode almost everything. The bombs also exploded off screen, in case of the super bomb this was needed in order to not die to it.
There was also some sort of castle like building in the middle of the map, allowing you to climb up by jumping on it and it had more bombs to pick up and you could of course blow it all up too.

The starting area looked somewhat like this:

http://i.imgur.com/FFQeFiL.png
(the castle like area was similar to the house in terms of structure, basically just thic-ish lines with stone slab texture on them and you had to blow your way through some of them)

There was a brown-ish mountain right to the left of the house and I think on the far right at the end of the map too.

I also don't think there were walking animations, so the character stayed in that stance while it moved.

All I know is that it was available on an old shareware CD known by the name "THE BEST OF SELECT Games Special 8"

Here are 2 scans of it:
http://imgur.com/a/LMSQv

On the back it says BOMBSQ but there are no results when I google that term and finding this old shareware CD is nigh impossible. (the displayed names are just 45 DOS games of a total of 70)

I think I had a Win98 system (Game for PC :p)
Main Character was male, blond, his grandpa was Kidnapped by someone evil cant really remember too well.
You started off in a house at the top of the mountain and you had to turn on power or something I think the 'Skyride' broke down and had to repair it.
It was a cartoon style graphics kinda similar to Monkey Island or Deponia games.
Also a quick note, This was in Poland but I don't think the game was designed there.
Really hope someone can help me figure out this game, it's been bugging me for years as I cannot find the CD.
Maybe Torin's Passage? It sounds very similar except for the Skyride thing.

Hello,
unfortunately I have very few memories of the arcade game I'm trying to remember: it was a 2d platform with horizontal scroll and the main character was a tiny girl wearing a cloak and using as weapon a sort of "blue flames" that at the very beginning were a short single shot, but proceeding with the game became three or four in a row with a much longer range. I used to play it in a bar around 1990 (let's say from 1988 to 1992).
Any chance with it?
There are a few possibilities, but I'd guess it was Willow [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LumZP0rpoDM].
Thank you Midwoka, but definetely it was not. The graphic was much more "delicate" and the colors were more pastel.

Any other ideas?

Thank youuuu!!!!!
I don't know what you mean by "delicate" graphics, but my other suggestions would be Legend Of Hero Tonma [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDp3OmqMZR4], Wardner [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEClHhd9ieU], or Magician Lord [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7ToKGzgXm0]. =)

Hello everybody! I hope you can help me with this.

I am looking for a pc game i played in 1995 or 1996, it was in japanese or an oriental language and it was an strategy game with battles. It was manga, with big headed little characters. Like Fantasy General style of game. You had some troops or units that when they leveled up you could choose the type of troop, for example when a wizard leveled up you could choose if he was still a wizard or he became a cleric. I thought the name of the game was "Toko" but i cant find any information about it so i guess that was not the name. I did not understand the language but could play by trying every button. The game was the size of a diskette.

Please, help! i am desperate :)

Thank you!

I'll try my luck.
I remember playing a game. The presentation style was similar to Conqueror AD 1086, but it had no strategy and competition parts (as far as I remember), you were always alone, during a fight your character was visible from right-behind and the enemy appropriately as digitized sprites for visual feedback on the fight. The maps were not random, it was basically just a castle with multiple towers. You could talk to NPC's (there were bars etc) and you also could find chests (due to maps not being random, always in the same spots :D)
Looking for it for quite a while now xD

HEY GUYS! SEND HELP ASAP! I'm going mental over my inability to remember this game title.

- I played this game about 10-15 years ago.

- CD ROM inserted which had a variety of miscellaneous games available

- One of the games involved choosing an NFL/Football routine where you could select as many team players and cheerleaders you wanted to be on the field, and select a movement routine for each character. For example, the cheerleaders had the option of waving their pompoms or doing flips in the air. Once you were happy with the way the routine looked, you would press the Play button and the characters would act according to the moves you gave them.
This game was a pixelated animation that included music and sound effects.

- Another game from the CD was a board that was set up, with a variety of tools down the side of the screen (on the right). The tools included a paint brush, eraser, mop (to make the board "greasy/ slippery"), etc. You could edit the board using these tools. There would be a marble looking ball that would drop onto the screen and move around the board depending on how you edited it.

I know the way I've described the games sound really random but if you've ever played this cd you'll know exactly what games I'm talking about!

Looking forward to some peace of mind!

Hello,

I'm looking for a game (indeed). It's a vehicule combat game where graphics are goofy and colorful. There are bonuses (weapons) that you can use against opponents. (And it's not Cel Damage)

It's certainly a 10-15 y.o game (I don't remembre the platform but It might be a Playstation 1 or 2)

Thanks !

Two games come to mind. The interstate series (Interstate 76, Interstate 76:Nitro Riders, Interstate 82) and the N.I.C.E. series (Have a N.I.C.E. day 1+2)

I remember playing a game with mini cars around an interior with real size. The game had different types of boosters you could use once you drive over them. The only things I remember are rockets you shoot the cars in front of you or some kind if turbines that appear on both sides of the roof on your car.

There were loops, jumps and even a football (soccer) games on those tables with little figures that rotate, which name I don't know in English.

I remember there was also different types of cars youcan drive, oneeven with 6 wheels. There was a beach map where you drive on sand and you can drive under the door of public bathroom where you see leg(s) that kick you out before you're able to see anything. (Don't ask how many times I've tried to glitch that).

It was about 10 years since I last played that, so the game is pretty old but I remember it very clearly.

Does anyone remember a game they used in elementary computer labs. All I remember is there was an owl in the beginning and there was one game where you learned the alphabet a few was like G of Gum, J for Jam. I think it was more of a vocabulary game than anything. I'm looking for it for nostalgia's sake. The game was probably from 2000-2004. That's about when I played it.

I remember a game that was either in Popcap Games or Coffee Break Games and it was about a kinda fat dude who had to take orders from the snack bar to the people in a bowling alley avoiding the bowling balls that people were throwing in their lanes. So, you had to maneuver the guy with the arrow keys so that he would get through by passing on the bowling lanes.
HELP PLEASEEEE THIS IS GIVING ME A HEADACHE!!

You can buy the CD-ROM on ebay for pretty cheap (seems like a German collection, so here's the German e?ay link [http://www.ebay.de/itm/The-Best-Of-Select-Games-Special-8-191-Games-PC-Spiel-800-/221695960224]. (it goes for like, ?5/$5/?5.50)

There's a chance that BOMBSQ is possibly the name for a different game [https://archive.org/details/msdos_shareware_fb_BOMBSQ] included on the CD, as BOMBSQ.EXE is just a freeware Mastermind [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mastermind_(board_game)] clone.

I'm not even sure if anyone still answers these, but this is one of my last hopes.

The game I'm looking for was on PS1 or PS2. It was a fairly standard fighting game involving a rather eclectic mix of champions. I recall one of the early heroes looking a bit like a knight. By default he was red, but I think his player 2 version was blue. One of his major moves involved shouting out "Zanzibar--somethingsomethingsomething." The final boss's name was Eodoka (sp?) and she was featured on the cover art, which I'm fairly certain was primarily green.

That's all I've got.
