Definitely Pajama Sam: No Need To Hide When It's Dark Outside [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI1zDxvPjeo]. =Dkaiezxo said:Hi there, looking for a game from my childhood. It was probably from the late 90s to early 2000s. Reminded me of a Reader Rabbit game, though I've searched that and found nothing. It was a 2D point and click adventure style game. PC. Here is what I remember:
The premise was of this young boy that like shrunk or fell through a portal in the floor of his messy bedroom. He was then transported to another world, with a much darker aura, with a big mansion on the other side of a large crevice. To get to it there was a rope with like 3 or 4 baskets on it. You would get in one and throw rocks into the others, using gravity to get you to the other side, if that makes sense. Inside the mansion you had series of puzzles and quests you would go through, ultimately to go home - but I never made it far enough to see the end. I remember some distinct things like these 3 trees on an upper floor of the mansion that would give you trivia questions. One asked for the current president. The questions were simple and obviously for kids. There was also a fridge with strange fruits and such on a lower floor. You could also leave the mansion and go down into the valley, were it was sunny with a old west feel. There was a shack at the bottom near a waterfall, and it had a can of oil in it.
Sorry if this is kinda vague, I haven't played it in over 10 years. If anybody has any clue what game this might be that would be amazing!!
The playthrough I linked might be a little different than you remember it, because the locations of the items and the puzzles to get them are slightly randomized for more replayability. Humongous Entertainment's adventure games were cool like that. =)
