I cannot remember the year I played this game, but it was during the PS2 era. Pre rendered backgrounds, action based but maybe with some light RPG elements. Fixed camera, multiple rooms, similar to games such as the early 3d Castlevanias, Rygar 3d, DMC, Onimushas, Gladiator, it might have had a tower or two, a giant caterpillar and possibly the main character using some sort of whip (definitely not castlevania), although I could be wrong.
If this is still too vague, any PS2 list with action-orientated, pre-rendered backgrounds and light RPG elements would be helpful and assist me with narrowing down my search and maybe help me find games similar I could enjoy.

Thankyou.

Hello there!

I hope you guys can help me out, even though i think it is an obscure title.
What i remember:
2d side scrolling horror, probably japanese. The protagonist was a girl who's trapped in some nightmarish place with a butcher like figure(maybe there was like a potato sack on his head) who kills her if he catches her. There were traps all over the place, you could die really easily. Another obscure part i remember that she lost her clother throughout the game( mind you i saw a walkthrough on youtube censored). Basically if you were not careful enough, things stabbed you, sliced you up, broke your bones, broke your whole body.
Sounds like it could possibly be Clocktower First Fear.

There was this (I'm guessing it was this genre since it had zombies in it) horror game for the ps1 I believe set in a mansion. It had a dark atmosphere from what I remember. When I walked through a door to this one room, around the corner there was a zombie eating a body and then turns around and gets up to follow you. but I think he stopped once you left the room. Also, I remember opening the front door to exit, but some kind of dinosaur popped out from outside. But this is all I remember, I watched a friend play this game, but we only played for like 5 minutes because we got scared (we were very young when we played this game). I was thinking it was the first resident evil game, but I'm still not for sure, I watched some gameplay videos on it, but it still seems a bit too light looking from what I remember. I remember it having a dark blue look, it was quite dark in the mansion. But I never played any of the resident evil games before, so I have no idea.
Check this video, there is passage with the "zomnbie eating" https://youtu.be/RD3zDYc2yNg?t=401
Oh, thank you. Still looks a bit different from what I remember. But it has a super super long time, so probably that game then. But what about the dinosaur part then from the front door?

You're welcome ^^

The front door of the beginning contains a video but it's not with a dinosaur:

After, maybe it's one of the Dino Crisis, but honestly I do not know that serie:

Okay so update:game may not be for PC,even tho I did play it on mine so it was most likely cracked.(played it on Windows XP,had it on a CD,game has to have been made before 2005,most likely in the late 90s)
So 2D platformer, side view, main story:aliens kidnap main characters girlfriend,he goes to save her.
Contained multiple different stages(forest, desert),last stage was on alien spaceship.
There were enemies(either animals or alien-like creatures) and bosses, once final boss was defeated, boy comes to the girl who says:My Hero! Also, contained collectable items(stars/gems/coins) and MAYBE the character had some special power that he could fight with, but I don't remember.

Ive been looking for a game for more than a decade (!)

Im looking for a game
It mustve been released before 2004, but couldve been a lot before.

Its an topdown arena shoot em up type game with a very distinct soft colour art style.

You would play as a little space ship flying around the map trying not to fall of the corridors, with AI ships around that you had to destroy (i mostly played MP over LAN vs a friend, the AI spawned dynamically there). you would collect various weapons and upgrades like rockets and bombs, shields and even could deploy turrets to destroy other ships.

The art style is really what stands out the most, i can only describe it as the love child of Planetary Annihilation and nerf. with lots of soft colours and kinda whimsical looking explosions. these explosions where really where the game shined and youd be bounced around the map alot if too close.

I have no clue what it was called but im sure i would recognize it immediately if i saw it, been through massive list of ye oldy games looking for it but cant Fing find it.

If anyone knows this that be AEWSOMEW, yes AWESOME.

Hi i am looking for the names of 2 really old PC games that i played before as a child.I can't remember the game as a whole but only tiny parts of the game.

The first one had a dog(?) where it will say anything, literally anything you type. Yes words that do not make sense like "azsdfcvgbnmkl" but i am not so sure about vulgarities since its probably a kids game.

Another one is a puzzle game. I rhink you had to match 2 same pictures while faced down or back like those memory games. When u match 2 same switch outlet it will start singing. I cant remember what it sang about but i think it said something like concession.

And yeah thats about it really vague memory, I hope to find these games soon...
Does no one know these games?;; These games are really old it is probably released in the late 1990s or early 2000s... please help!

For a whole decade I have been looking for a classic PS1 game which has proven very difficult for me to track down. I'm hoping that by describing it to the best of my ability on this thread then somebody might know what the game could be....

Basically you're in a haunted castle or mansion (I can't really remember which) and I remember playing a really strange looking character. You have to locate random objects in various parts of the castle; for example, on the rooftop and inside. As part of the game there was a fantastic twist. A spinning wheel was included (much like the wheel of fortune) and dependent on how well you did in the level; you would then land on a very good spot on the wheel succeed to the next level; if you had done good. If you proved unsuccessful, then you would either land on game over (if really awful) or you would end up boss battling with a little girl covered in gothic makeup and jet black hair.

I remember the way she looked exactly and she was quite pretty. She used to freak me out though. She had a horrible laugh and had real anger issues. I don't remember if it was true but the boss battle took place in a dark round room surrounded by loads of doors. Each of the doors opened and I can't remember if the girl kept appearing out of different doors or whether she sent slaves out to battle. I just remember boss battling with her and losing every time due to the difficulty of her strength. The spinning wheel was quite colourful but the entire game was dark and moody.

If anybody is aware of a game of this content and you know the title; it would mean a lot if you could let me know...

Hope you're all having a good start to a new week. Kindest of regards
Hi everyone....

I still haven't found this game that I mentioned in this post from 2016, but my mum remembers it's content like myself, and I can add more information to the game description. There was a train at some point in the game, a hallway, a room with loads of gold where there were hidden objects. My mum says ninja women would come out from the doors in the round boss battle room. I also remember there were two good characters. One was fat and dumb, some sort of animal possibly, and the other was taller, slimmer and more intelligent. The fat one had a deep goofy voice, and the taller one had a more higher pitched voice. You got to choose to play as one of them, if I remember so. Basically the game is categorized as a point-and-click hidden object game mixed with fighting and adventure. It was definitely on the PlayStation but I can't remember if it was 1 or 2. The spinning wheel in the wheel round was like a carnival wheel. Bright and colourful. Someone else on this forum, actually mentioned similar information of this game, a while back too on this thread. It would mean so much if you could help. This game was part of a demo disc, so may not have made it big, or be well-known enough. many thanks

I am trying to remember the 1st game I played when I was 2 1/2. It would have been 1980's to 1993 at the latest. It looks like a 80's game though. The colors were that BRIGHT light blue and pink. It was an educational game where you went from station to station on a train by doing some kind of educational activity. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? I have googled my butt off to try and find it and I can't find anything! I want to say it had "Express" in the title but I'm not 100% sure. It seems as if it wasn't a popular game at all so I'm not sure if anyone can help but if you can I would REALLY appreciate it!!

I can't remember this game, it's been stuck in my head for ages now

You play as snail-like aliens and you have to fight humans
I do remember a ship that looks like a half life 3 combine gunship
I played it when i was around 8 so it had to be out before 2009

I think it was a strategy game
It's on PC

Thanks for any help!

Hi everyone, i'm not sure if anyone knows about this game because it was such an obscure one but basically it started with a red haired child who had one of these fish toys you use in the bath like a duck and the kid accidentally removed the plug. The fish got flushed down and by some weird magic the kid too and landed in the ocean. The toy became alive too and we find out that there is a gigantic hole in the ocean. A sea lion is currently using himself as a plug and tells us to look for the real one or the entire ocean would lose all his water.

All in all the game was about helping various fishes out with their problems (like one was about a french crab and cakes)it gaining stuff from them to switch with other objects until the final "boss" where we find out that it was a shark baby who was holding the plug as a pacifier. A bit of a puzzle solving game.

I don't know if anyone knows the name of it but i would appreciated it.
Thanks

Hey everyone!

My friends and I are on a "finding old games we remember playing" spree, and I recall vague memories of this one old PC game, which was a 2d shooter, where you were playing as a cyborg/robot I think, and you were in a laboratory, and you could shoot the scientists and later marines showed up, and it was violent as hell. I just don't remember what it's called at all. And I recall some intermission screen as well with a woman talking. But that one detail is kinda hazy.
I'd love it if you could help me find it, because I don't think I'll be able to sleep until I do, and it's 3am.
Thanks in advance

Edit: Just to be clear, it was a side scroller, not top-down or anything. I also recall vague details of a platforming part with boxes, and how the game was really gory.
Hey. Me again. Still looking for the game.
I've kinda given up all hope on finding it on my own, since I tried virtually everything and I still can't find it. Meaning you guys are my only hope. I'd love it if you could help.

You haven't said if it's on PC and if it is a point and click adventure, or even where you are from...
But it could be Backpacker? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backpacker_%28video_game_series%29
Or at least something similar. I did a quick similar games search but couldn't find anything earlier than '95 or with express in the name.

Hey guys! So recently I've been thinking about this game, it was from the 2000ʼs, something 3D and it was in first person. I remember it was a maze game and there was a lot of puzzles for you to solve so you could pass to the next level. I'm not sure but you could see the character and it had a hat? something like mario. whenever you die in the game a shinning white ball would appear around the character. Also there's this specific part of the game where you could die from water because it's going up and you had to jump on a platform. You could collect green stuff, something like diamonds. I've played it on the PC but I don't know where did I get that game from, probably over the internet.

I've been trying to think of this game for a while now. It involved music and a train I believe. It had a weird song that was catchy and basically, it was about the alphabet I think? Early 2000's or late 90's, on PC

To quote the famous RelativityMan... Could it have been Alphabet Express Preschool [http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/alphabet-express-preschool]?
