I remember one 3D game
You played as submarine in some underwater town
I remember there were many fish ,octopus and I also remember big seashell with pearl inside
first you have to drive to some cave and take from there something like big coin
when you returned ,town was under attack ,that was end of DEMO-version

...sorry for my grammar...
Submarine Titans ?
no ,it wasnt strategy
it was 3D action and you control only one submarine

Hi

I've been trying to find out the name of this game which I played around 15 years ago, I cannot remember much of it but this is what I can remember.

You went into a some castle to fight monsters.
You fought the monsters with weapon or with monsters of your own
To get your monsters you hatched them out of and Egg.
You could find the eggs around the castle and they were just as big as you and you jumped on the egg and cracked them with yours hands.
You could buy weapons and others things
You could buy a race track in the place you came from.

Sorry thats all I can remember, I hope someone recognizes this game.
I played something similar with castles and monsters but instead of eggs
They were seeds. The game is called monsterseed
Its not the game im thinking of :/ thnks anyway :), looks like a pretty awesome game, I love the music from these game, brings back a lot of memories :)
You are welcome, hope you find that game :)

Two games I'm trying to remember:

1. A top-down (or isometric) shooter where you play as 1 (or 2) people who've entered this sort of maze/arena thing to kill loads of goons/robots for money.

That first one sounds like Total Carnage. First time I played it was in a Laundromat on base in the Philippines. When I found it for PS2, I was so happy because I could finally afford to continue long enough to beat the first level!

2. It's a top-down game where you play as a ship in an asteroid field and you have to gather crystals and kill worker ships who are trying to build some sort of Death Star robot.
This second one sounds like Sinistar unless it's not. I do know that there is no way to win that one.

Hope that helped some. I have both of them on compilation disks for PS2 that each has multiple classic arcade games on it.

Okay, now it's my turn, I played a game that was already loaded onto a public computer. I remember it giving me a sort of surreal feeling. The graphics were good (not great) and very effective. I believe you were supposed to be some sort of mutation created in a lab, and for some reason had decided to escape which means navigating through a multi-floor office building, fighting guards and other mutants (although most not as advanced as yourself) avoiding security systems and laser beams and such. I can particularly remember one scene (which may have been the final escape) down a long corridor that seemed to lead away from the rest of the building. I'm also thinking it could have been a sky-walk between two buildings???

I'm hoping to be able to find it again even if I only play it once.

I remember playing a 4 players split-screen game (one keyboard) for pc. The game was about an alien invasion, which the enemy looked like spiders and they got bigger if the eat flower. The game only had 10 levels and is a bird view perspective game. there were also some bird marks you could pick up for airstrike support, soldiers or mini tank.

Hi Guys,

Recently I've been trying to remember a PC computer game I was playing in the mid 1990's (around 1995, I think ?). The clearest memory I have is of flying above a planet surface and having to explore. Sometimes I would have to shoot monsters (green plants ?) and would also find, I think, minerals, clues...etc. I seem to remember then going back to my base (in space or on another planet), where I was doing research. I also seem to remember that somewhere in there, as we explored the star system, that there was a danger from an (advanced alien) presence in the middle of the galaxy ? Like I said, the clearest memory is flying over the planet surface and exploring, and sometimes shooting, but that wasn't the whole game. Any suggestions ??? Thanks !!

- Gerrit

ps And yes, I've read through about 70 ages of posts here, but haven't found it yet....
I think you may be talking about Star Control 2 Hyperspace is red, and the bad guys look like a cross between H.G. Wells' martians (the book's description) and something out of the Cthulhu mythos.

Oh, almost forgot http://www.star-control.com/sc2/

Hello Everyone!

I am looking for the name of an old PS1 game. It's an adventure name where you choose 1 out of 3 or 4 characters. I remember the main one is a big muscular man with facial hair, and a skinny guy and a girl. Each one has special thing they can do in your adventure for example if you choose the big muscular guy, you can open new paths by lifting heavy rocks that block that path, and If I remember correctly, you can increase his strength by lifting a cow or big woman. The skinny guy can't do that but I think he can go throw narrow paths and ...etc

I can't simply remember a ps2 game that i used to play whit my friend.. The main character was this asian guy killing zombies or some mutated enemies whit some katana or something. The first boss was on a roof of a building and it was a helicopter of some sort. And the 2nd boss was battled in a Japanese Sukiya-zukuri house (a Japanese residential architectural style). That is all i remember about that game :D never got to finish that game and i have been looking for that game for a long time :p

Okay, after months of this creeping back into my conciousness and a four hour intense search marathon just now, all of which has left me completely fruitless. I turn to this great hive in hopes of salvation.

Here's everything I think I remember from watching my friend play this game (or demo):

It was a PC game (maybe not exclusively), I remember being impressed by the graphics (whatever that means), should be late 90s or early 00s. Medieval setting, might be fantasy, third or first person (maybe both) action adventure/RPG.

I believe there were at least three playable characters, but I don't think you actually chose one, more like you played a different character at different moments in the game. I believe one is a black haired warrior kind of fella (feels like main character or maybe front and center in the main menu), another red haired/bearded guy, which I'm tempted to classify as a dwarf (could swear he had an axe), and maybe a female archer. At least definitely archery and another thing I remember being impressed about is that you could either see the arrows you shot stuck in whatever they were shot at, and maybe even that you could pick them back up after that Everything I remember takes place around/inside a castle or something similar. The archery part I remember was mostly in an area in which there was a circular staircase around a tower (outside), water or just a drop on your left, the tower on your right.

The thing I remember most vividly is the red headed/bearded person in a cutscene/situation: inside, kinda like a dungeon, with an opened drawbridge or something similar out of wood in front of you and a gap in between. Also something about a red gemstone is trying to work its way into my memory.

I used to think the title had something with 'sword' or 'dark' in the title, but after running through multiple lists of video games between 1995 and 2005 I've come to doubt that theory. May still be true though.

So... PC, seemed like good graphics, tried for a realistic vibe, medieval/fantasy setting (in/around castle), action adventure/RPG, two or three characters (black haired guy, red haired/bearded guy), third/first person view, late 90s/early 00s, some archery with recollectable arrows annnnddd that's about it.

Here's hoping someone has a clue what I'm going for and I get to find out how much I've been misremembering.

Thanks!

I have something of a challenge. I'm pretty sure that the game is a floppy game from the 80s. I know it was definitely not late 90s onwards. All I remember about it was solving puzzles or mysteries. I think you gathered clues by visiting places, or calling people and asking them questions on the telephone or pay phone.
Uh I think you are talking about Where in the World is Carman Sandiego.

This might be a tough one, but I will give the best description I can.

When I was growing up as a kid in the 90's, I played this PC Space shooter game around the 1995-1998 range. If my knowledge of genres is correct, it played like a "Rail Shooter" or "Shoot Em Up" Exactly like Starfox64 where you would fly a ship and you had to dodge all the bullets and fight the bosses. Anyway the space shooter had VERY good graphics for its time because it was in 3D. All I can remember was that I played it with a joystick and it had powerups where it would shoot these blue orbs, green triangles, and one of the first bosses came out of a volcano and It looked like some kind of hawk mechanical figure. The space ship was a black color with a circular engine in its center.

Pretty vague description, but this is the only thing I got going for it. I really wish I could find a picture of the game =(

Hey guys, I've got a game I've been trying to remember for a while. I think it was on Windows 95 or 98.. maybe 2000. I think it was part of a learning suite of games for kids, in the game you were a helicopter and you flew around a forest trying to put fires out and rescue animals from a top down perspective... at least, that's what I can remember :p Anybody know??
Did you also have to deliver mail at some occasions, by any chance? Because a buddy of mine used to have a game like that, but can't remember the name of it =/
Hmmm I couldn't say for sure you had to deliver mail, but it does sound familiar.. anybody have any guesses??
Thank god you posted this because that made me want to find it and for the longest time I was thinking it was a typing game but it is Davidson's Grammar Games

The game you are thinking of is Rainforest Rescue:

Now I got to find the game to download somewhere!

PLEASE someone help me with this, i'm racking my brain trying to think of an old 80s computer game, it was all green, that we played in school. It was a learning game where you were trying to solve a mystery in a hotel, and you would ask questions of people and they would give you problems to solve to give you information. You were trying to find some money or something....someone has to know it.... I thought it was called Hotel, but i can't find anything on it.

Old game who came on a floppy disc, you were some kind of rat driving around in a machine/robot. You saw it from an overview perspective. You could shoot, and had to avoid getting shot/destroyed. That is really all i remember :/ guess it was late 80's/early 90's.

A game for playstation 1 I think.
You are starting in a mantion or something, and gathering different kind of coloured keys for different doors. After a while you head outdoors fighting a boss in a maze, and several other stuff.
The character can transform into a ball for entering small openings in the wall. He can also transform into a hammer, a saw and other different stuff.
I think the game was called ghostbuster, but I can't find anything like this game when I search for ghostbuster
