I played a very old game on some PC. It's a 2D platformer, entirely black and white. Ladders, bricks and walls, that sort of thing. You played as a stickman or a ninja or something like that, and the most fun part was easily the level editor.

I don't suppose anyone's heard of it?
sounds like Loderunner

I forgot a detail, the robot looks a bit like big egg like an egg or capsule with arms and legs but stronger... I know its not helping a lot...

Hi all,
I remember playing a game perhaps in the 8-bit era or something very close (no more than 16-bit), which is basically a 2D platformer where main character is a little girl inside a robot (color redish and strong humanoid shape), the robot has a certain energy, after its finished its useless and then the girl should walk around on her own but she has so few energy that even weak enemies could kill her. I think the environment was something like a strange planet but as the graphics were very simple it has the aspect of first Super Mario games (SMB2 or so). Anyone know what game could this be? thanks for any clue =).
Uhm... Miracle Ropit's Adventure in 2100?
Thats it!! great thank you!! =) also thank you very much to all who tried that one I know it was really hard to find this one =).

By the way now I remember how hard it use to be, and in fact the list where I saw it was for sure about really hard games, as loosing the robot is really easy and without it we are mere humans with even less options to survive, however its challenging game and I recommend it to anyone looking for a hard one :D

I am trying to remember the name of the PC game where you are given clues about decorating rooms by the homeowner. You have a few clues that are vague riddles, then you purchase furniture, decorations etc. and get points based on rather or not you decorated it the way they wanted. There are multiple people you get to work on assembly and they get injured and tired. Can anyone help me with this?

Ok, so I've been searching everywhere with my results always yielding "Persona 3" - but that is not the game I am looking for.

It was a game I played on PS2. It was a dungeon crawler. where I believe you could have 6 people in your party (3 in the front and 3 in the back) It was grid based movement system, and you explored the dungeon my moving down on "levels". If you stayed on a level too long a grim reaper would chase you down (that is why I always get Persona 3). You could enter and exit the dungeon when ever you liked - the purpose was to get to the bottom floor (which ever that was, I never completed it). The dungeon was surrounded by a village that you could exit too to buy armour, potions, cure status ailments and revive characters. The most characterising thing I can remember about this game is that, if a member of your party died it was permanent. Which was why death was so scary~ If he caught up to you you would have to battle him and he was capable of killing party members instantly. you could find new party members in the dungeon however - but of course you needed to train them anew and they may not have been the same class as your older member.

two last details about the game - it was 1st person view, but as it was tile based movement you could only turn in 4 directions. And finally you could see monsters on the grid except they were orange ethereal "thingies" if they noticed you they turned red and chased you.

I've been trying to find the title of this game for ages, if anyone knows what it is please tell me.

Ok seriously, I am baffled that no one has heard of this game. I've spent like 5 years looking for it.

It's on the PC, I belive it was for win 95, so it's created somewhere around 95' or so.
It's a point and click game and from the screenshots I've seen I guess it looks a little like King's Quest but from what I remember and the clips I've seen of KQ, it is a rather different game. It is set in a medieval setting and the part that I played took place in a forest. There are 2 things I remember clearly. 1) At some points Forest bandits attack you and ask for your stuff, you give them a magic ring that kills the wearer and turns him into a skeleton, the rest of the bandits run away. 2) At one point you had to go into a giant's or a troll's cave and either retrive an item or rescue someone. The cave's entrance was blocked off by a giant boulder.

I also remember that my play of it ended when I got stuck at an entrance to a castle. It had a gargoyle statue shooting out a laser beam guarding it and I couldn't get past it.

I've seriously tried searching every site that has DOS games for it and I've come up empty everywhere, it's so frustrating, I want to play that bloody game.

I think this game might be from like the 90's or early 2000's I used to play it in Elementry school (I'm 16 now) and it was involving cars and I'm pretty sure you (the player) were a car and there were other cars and there were platforms and I don't even remember what the goal of the game was but I'm sure it wasn't a racing game but more of a survival game because I think the other cars could like shoot you or something like that. It was a PC game and I don't think there was much of a background to it really other than just there being platforms to drive onto

I can't remember the name of this game but it was on Sega 16 bit. It was -side on- eye view and followed 1 and possibly 2 players in co-op and you walked around a city in the beginning and kill people and grab their -knives, baseball bats- etc. There was a later level where you are in a -fairground tunnel- and everything is dark but a -possible- light circle around you.

This is all I can remember it was a FREAKIN AWESOME game !

Thanks for your time !
With the amendments above, this is Streets of Rage 2.. But if all the bits you described are exact, then it's not.

Vigilante 8 or Twisted Metal possibly? V8 was ported quite a lot, not sure if it made it on to PC though, and the platforms thing isn't quite spot on.. But if it had a tangy 70's groove to it, that's what you're after.

Even if it's not, you should play it - that game is funky.

I was playing a some kind ofstrategy/Civilization building game few years back. In this game i would start constructing some houses then villagers would come from some place and settle. Then i start constructing more houses, farms, waterways, watch tower. Also create/set some characters as night watchman. Would beautify city or keep people happy by constructing town centres, theaters and more. Now i can't remember the name of the game. If anyone have some info/link or knows the name. Please let me know.

Thanks

Hi, been browsing this thread a bit and found some games i remembered from my childhood, but I can't seem to find this one.

Basically, you're some kind of miner and everyone's dead by the time you get there. You play as on ship in a isometric view. You can mine materials and upgrade your ship with it when you visit docks or something. There's also aliens that you have to fight through because your company messed up or something. Didn't really get far as it was a demo and it was back in 99 or early 00s.

Hey guys! I'm looking for an old Playstation 1 game.
All my brother and I could remember is:

1. that it is a side scroller game, similar to the Double Dragon series.
2. You could choose from 4(?) characters in the start of the game (swordsman, archer, spear (?))
3. Gameplay is somewhat similar to Dynasty Warriors/Double Dragon (beat 'em up genre)
4. Pressing O is like unleashing Musou attack (wide area attack)
5. The version we played was Japanese.
6. Through out the level, you could destroy environment elements (boxes, crates) where you'll get meatbuns to recover health.
7. There is a power-up that makes your character mount a horse and makes your attacks more powerful (?)
8. At some point in the game, there's a minigame, where you button-mash your controller when your characters are eating loads of meatbuns and fried chicken(?)

P.S I'm sure it is on Playstation 1, and the version we played was japanese version.

EDIT: nvm, I FOUND IT!!! oh, brings back memories, and yes it was a dynasty warriors spinoff
it's called Tenchi wo Kurau II

Hey guys, really appreciate if someone could tell me what my game is.

1. It was a PC game back in the 90's
2. You started with four different types of aliens that look like blobs with color coding.
- Blue: intelligence
- Green: Balance
- Darker Blue: Strength
- Maroon: Agility
3. Its an action RPG game where you have to shoot down bugs
4. These bugs look like the bugs from starship troopers (they were small, and they move in a bunch)
5. I remember the earlier terrain were composed of high rocks and a valley (like a canyon, etc)
6. Mission was to... survive I guess?

Thanks alot, appreciate it!

I remember playing a FPS. It was a good one too, extremely good graphics and gun sounds for it's time.
I think it was set in the Golf War, with the protaganist being questioned while we played the levels, Blops Style.

First level was a short urban level.
Second one had you sneaking through checkpoints during the night.
The was a night harbor level too if I remember.
And one at a powerplant.

Game 1 was playstation 1. 1v1 fighting game, the first level was on a roof top at night and the character had a giant sword like something from final fantasy, if you won the fight you get a large belt like something from WWE.

Game 2 was playstation 1 or 2. driving game, possibly 1v1 where the drivers had their own vehicle like monster truck or camper van and each had special powers such as shooting bees or lightning. one of the maps was at old airfield with scrap planes and it was sunny, another was at night at an airport.
game 2 -> probably "vigilante 8" ?

The first game sound like Erhgeiz, but that could be way off. The second game sounds like either Vigilante 8 or one of the Twisted Metal games.
You guys were spot on! Thanks you so much, i've no idea how you worked it out! :D

Thanks but I don't think this was its name, I'm pretty sure it had a futuristic setting, somewhere on a ship or something, it had room of metal and gates that required keys, the atmosphere was gloomy not colorful and you didn't have spells, just guns, this was the reason why I liked it so much, It was like ut2004 or something, lots lots of guns like 10 or something and every gun was different but I can't remember anything besides the fact that they were plasma guns or laser guns, I think one of them shot lightning as well? The game you mentioned does look nice, almost made me feel bad I didn't play it, it's similar to my game but I'm pretty sure it's not it.
That sounds like it could be the PC game Abuse, but the 'PS1' part doesn't fit. Still, that would be my best guess.
Holy shit! thanks a lot man, that's the game, I watched a few vids on youtube and I'm 100% sure it was it, I remember those spherical turrets and it looks like the bats weren't bats and were instead huge ass aliens that dropped from the ceiling.

Damn I haven't played it in a looong time, thanks again, I've been looking for it for years and I never found any trace of it because I only remembered stuff about it that's very common in gaming: lots of guns, 2d sidescrolling shooter, puzzles like: opening gates with keys and so on, because of that I always found games belonging to the Metroid franchise while I was searching for this one, Abuse. I'm not sure it was on PS1 since when I was little I was very bad with computers and every CRT screen I used to see I considered either a TV or a PC monitor... I hope this was the game the guy I quoted was looking for as well, I'll send him a PM but it looks like he only has 2 posts and has probably forgotten about his account.
