trying to find this game. maybe 2000. it starts off with the girl character saving a bouncing red ball who then falls in water. you then can use that red ball and make your own creature.
Magic Pengel: The Quest for Color, although in most peoples cases it probably wasn't a ball, as kindly illustrated by Brad.

Hello,

Can you provide any more information? What were the graphics like? Which platform was this for? Was it on PC, console? Is the game a side scroller, bird's eye, 3rd person or first person? How do you know you have to fill the moat in order to save the girl? Was it text instructions or did a character tell you that?

If you think the game is 8-bit, does that mean you think it might be for the original NES?

Hi, what a great threat.
I really hope someone out there can help me with this one.

I once played a demo of a game with the word Virus in the titel.

the plot was rather classic with the robots taking over the world or something similar, and then you had to move around in your hover vehicle and destroy enemy robots, find new weapons and ammo for weapons you already got.

i played it on pc and i think it was about ten years ago

i know its not a lot to go on, but its all i got.

i hope someone can help me.

thanks in advance.

I remembered that it was vieved from birds view

I'm impressed. Seriously great idea for a thread. Maybe someone can help me remember an old one.

I want to say it was a Flash game but I might be wrong on that. Same idea, though--small quirky online only game. You had a tiny round world and ten objects just below it that you could click on to "use" in some way. Each object would change the world in some way or cause something new to happen. The goal was to use all ten items in the correct sequence to create the greatest change to the world.

I really enjoyed this strange little puzzle game and could probably find it again if only I could remember what it was called. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

There is a PS1 game that i can't remember the name of!

All i can remember is that it was a turn based game just like Final Fantasy and it was about a girl or a boy who could summon monsters with her/his flute and these monsters would fight for her/him with the enemies!

Hi! I just joined because I've been trying to remember the name of this game for YEARS, and I've had no luck so I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm a little hazy on the exact details, but it was a PC game with a disk sometime in the mid-late 90's. It was an adventure/mystery/educational type game, where you had to collect clues to solve a mystery, and you played as, I believe, a little green dude with one horn. You also had little games inside the game to learn nouns/verbs/etc. I used to LOVE this game as a kid, and I'd love to figure out what the hell is was!

OH! I almost forgot, there's a girl (possibly a ghost, but I don't remember) that narrates and helps you through the game.

Okay, there was this game on the gamecube, an RPG, maybe a JRPG.
The character you played as had a backpack with a big robot arm and hand that you used to fight with.
There was this girl who followed you around, she never talked and she fought with a frying pan.
That's really all I remember.

There's a frying pan in Phantasy Star Online, as well as some of the other versions of the game.
Frying pans really are used in video games more often than people realize, huh?
Anyway.
Good guess but that's not it.
I REALLY wish I could give more information but I just can't.

I really want to know this game

It was on the PS1

You controlled a robot that could transform from a bipedal fighting machine to a hovering strafing shooting vehicle

I do remember that it had police lights on it, if that helps.

I remember that on random battles you fought a guy named "Sky captain" or another player, and you bought tanks to atack the enemy base and helicopters to defend yours, and also capture neutral turrets to help you, and also buy outposts, and also buy 1 giant tank and 1 giant helicopter.

You had 3 weapon slots that you could swap out, the starter being a machine gun, a rocket launcher, and a mortar.

Man I loved that game, if I only I could remember its name.

The game was for Nintendo 64 where you played as a ninja, samurai figure that battled with what looked like a smoke pipe. I remember the game was off the wall because one second you would be battling through a temple and in the next section you are fighting with your giant mech warrior ninja. One of the other playable characters was a fat ninja that carried around a large ham. I want to play this game again if I could, though I doubt I will find the same amount of charm in it now as I did when I was younger.

This thread may be a life saver! I'm looking for two games.

The first one was played on an Apple IIc. I think it may have been more of a "get to know your computer" type of game. All I can remember is you moved between screens and manipulated objects on the screen (no character, or anything, you just controlled a cursor), and one screen had a skeleton in a box. The box had a small hole in one side, and you had to drag a key to the hole to open the box. Then you could drag the skeleton out of the box. I also remember that you could drag objects from other screens and put them in the box.

The second game was played on Windows, probably 95. It may also have run through MS-DOS. This one was more of an educational game, I believe. It was sort of like Carmen Sandiego, in that you had to do a number of repetitive levels between story cut-scenes. Also, many times you would just get the same cut-scene. I think the story included the bad guy taking over television, maybe to brainwash the world? The only thing I remember for certain is the antagonist's satellite taking over the "good" satellite. The graphics were cartoon-y, and the bigger "bad" satellite drifted up, opened a mouth and swallowed the "good" satellite.

Can anyone decipher either of these games?

reposting... since my post got lost two pages ago...

Hello everyone... im looking for 2 games that i used to play when i was...8~9... it was for playstation 1

what i can remember of these games are:

1 game: you started at a beach... there was a compass in your top right screen if im correct... you needed to walk a lot to reach a hidden stone door near a mountain.... it was first person, if u turned right... the char would turn 90º to the right.... the same thing about the other directions, the walking was kind slow... when you engaged in battle... it looked like a strategy rpg (like... turn based... with glowing squares below the char u selected...) scenario the main char had long white hair e.e (also this game was all in japanese)and it was in 2d

2 game: your char was a rat... a yellow rat... or a yellow animal... the only thing i can remember is that in one of the stages... you had to escape from the sewers while standing on a tree leaf being dragged by the waters, you had to dodge incoming obstacles, it was a demo disc that included spyro, hot shots golf and gex enter the gecko e.e

thx everyone in advance

This one is going to be really vague but we'll see..

Only thing I really remember is that it's a 2d Top down game and that you're playing a caveman. And for the exact console I can't really say but I'm pretty sure it's either the Snes or the genesis but I could be wrong.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions. :)
