OK guys I will be very thankful if some1 can tell me the name of the game i remember playing it like in the 2000's anyway the game is 2D all I remember was that your main characetr can summon minions like skeletons zombies etc. but in order to do that he had to stay on some kind of a altar which regenerates his mana(or whatever energy he uses to summon) also i remember that the HP bar was something like the head of your character which skin peels when you take damage and the skull is revealed and when u heal up you get it back ( i remember eating apples ) The 3 level was in a swamp with very powerfull crockodiles. You can unlock and change the units you are able to summon in the menu of the game .. I hope that's enough info:)
Thanks

Its a long shot, but you could be mish-mashing together aspects of Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons & Oracle of Ages.
In the opening of ages, Nayru is singing, but the screen turns dark and she is taken away by Veran. Soon after you travel back in time to chase after her. The guy in the wizard hat, Ralph, is also looking for her, and sometimes helps you.
In the opening of seasons, Din is dancing, but the screen turns dark and she is taken away by General Onox in a tornado. You attempt to save her but are blown away. Later, you acquire the rod of seasons and can change the seasons by standing on a tree stump and swinging it.

There are so many similar points of interest to your description, but for all i know i could be way off and there might be a NES game that matches your memory perfectly.
i just found out what the name of it was, Hype: time quest, but thanks for trying apreacite your help

here's mine, it was a old game i played sometimes around 1996-2000 it feels like. The main characteristic that i remember is that you could pick your character from the hands of a giant skeleton in the background. There were 3 characters, a dwarven fighter with an axe(green), a conan like character(blue) and a Xena like woman amazonian like character(red). The game was in 3D but played from side view and you had to kill waves of mobs on each new screen as you moved forward trough the level. You could ride dragons if you knocked down foes down from them is another thing i remember. Unfortunately that's all i have to go on so any help would be realy appriciated :)

Cheers
100% sure the game you talk about is Golden Axe

Thank you very much kind sir :)

Hello everyone, I have been trying to find out the name of an old MS-DOS CD ROM or DOS CD ROM game that I had when I was a kid for the longest time and have had no luck or leads. All I can remember is that it was and educational game and the only areas of the map I can remember going in were the pet shop and the grocery store and you had to do little tasks in each one. There were more areas but I couldn't go in them because I only had the demo of the game. The main character was a dog who wore a backwards baseball cap and a t-shirt, his name was sammy and he alwase said "Steller bud" whenever you did something right or completed a task. If anyone could help me out in any way i'd greatly appreciate it.

Hello folks, please help to remember 2 games I played between 1994 and 1998.

Game 1

Platform: PC
Estimated dates: 94-1997
Dimension: 3D
Windows: Windows 95
Game type: 3rd Person

Description:
All I remember is that it was really dark and Scary game. You start in a dungeon, I remember it was really gore and scary.
I think the you start fighing against Skeletons in the first level.
VERY IMPORTANT DETAIL:
There was an Arena mod in the game. You choose an Arena ( I remember a place with lava and a place gap on side so if you fall, you die) - Then you choose any characters from the game, even monsters and you fight in the Arena.
I remember 1 beast I played in the arena mod. It was a monster, maybe a giant instect. It had very long and powerfull arms but slow ones. I always won by pushing the opponent in the lava or in the gap.

Has anyone played this game please ?

Game 2

A totally different Game, it was a racing car game.
I only played the demo ( along with populous: the begining)

Platform: PC
Estimated date: 1997-2000
in 3D
Windows: Windowns 98
Game type: Racing car game within towns.

I remember and very colourful game with cars. I remember you always drive within town against other cars. In the town, I belive there were non-racing cars that you have to avoid. When you pass a certain point, there were some police cars chasing you. I remember that at some point you could drive on staircase and the town might San Franciso.

Best regards,

Alex

Great thread, perhaps someone will help me here.

I remember this game very vaguely since I've played it like 10-15 years ago on PC. It was action-adventure title. It started with a lot of dialogue from first person perspective (it was in english). You moved your character from top-down perspective on world map and when you encontuered an enemy it reverted to 2D from the side. What I remember the most was alien world and magic. You acquired new spells by collecting colorfull orbs and drawing them from a board in cities. Yeah, I know it is not much but I dont remember any more. I've checked various old game and abandonware sites and never seen anything like this.

hey guys
this is my first post. I stumbled onto the site attempting to find an old 90s game
If anybody could identify it for me I would be so goddamn great ful!!!
the game situated around a "bomb squad" you played a brunette female
You had minions who looked like anime robots... yellow box shaped heads, blue bodies.
they all had different occupations such as chef, bombing detector, cleaner etc
The goal of the game was to find gems/blow up stuff/blow up enermies and had numerous mini games aswell
this may not be enough information but god Am I hoping it rings a bell !!!
yellow box headed anime bomb squad team!

=O Well Gauntlet was one of those Tengen games from my childhood that I loved but the medieval game I was searching for wasn't it, from the vagueness I remember it did have stone blocks like Gauntlet but I believe it was not from a birds eye view it was more platformer based. I could be wrong though, that's why I doubt I'll ever be able to figure it out because it was so long ago and I remember such very little details. I knew for one it was on Nintendo though
Dragon Warrior II? You mentioned multiple characters (à la Sorcerian, which was one of the Dragon Buster games). But then it could be Dragons of Flame, or perhaps one of the Dragon Slayer series, or even Dragon Power (a.k.a. Dragon Ball: The Secret of the Dragon).

I only included those last few games to up the dragon-count of this post. Sheesh there were a lot of dragon-titled games for the NES. Have a look at the Dragon Slayer series - they were the most popular on a range of platforms, including NES.

Other (non-dragon titled) NES games:
Faxanadu*, Legacy of the Wizard*, Hillsfar**, Magician.

*Dragon Slayer title
**Dungeons & Dragons title.

Hey guys, I created an account to see if anyone can help me in remembering the name of a game I played when i was younger. It must have been the late 90's early 00's when i played it on PC i don't remember much about the game but have been searching for the name for ages.

Here's what i do remember, you play as a native american in some sort of dream like world where you are able to take off and fly by spreading out your arms at the press of a button, i remember there being platforms in the sky you could fly to and a big structure in the centre of the sky you could enter. This is all i can recall of the game itself if anyone knows what it is please let me know as it bugs the hell out of me trying to remember the name.

EDIT: Looks like I didn't search hard enough before as i found the name right after submitting this. If anyone was interested the name of the game was Dreams to Reality

The game was basically a flight sim in space
I played this around 8-10 years ago on an old PC I think it was a demo of the full game

-controlling a spaceship fighting aliens
-It gave you a big space to where to fight missions
-I remember two missions that were blowing up a bigger spaceship and protecting your base from attacks
-also you had AI partners that you could shoot
-The color palette was basically black and green
-you had to lock in on enemies and shoot missiles or use your plasma guns
-they gave you a list of every ship in the current mission whether they be friend or foe (on the bottom left)
-Your AI partners and the aliens also had voiced lines
hey guys please I really want to know the name of the game described above. I think it was on windows 97-99 PLEASE PLEASE

I need your help and your knowledge in old video-games. Actually I'm seeking for an old real time strategy game with three eyed creatures who worship some kind of god. I'm pretty sure it's not Populous. The only thing I can remember is that I played a demo in 1999, but the game maybe released before 1999.

Help will be much appreciated!

Hi guys, have a hard one to figure out, but I'm hoping.

This is a really old PC game, I was really young so I don't remember much, and what I do remember, I don't know if it's totally accurate or not. I believe it was a point and click, a brother and a sister solving mysteries and I think they had a dog as well. For some reason, I think they had a yellowish type skin color but I'm not sure at all, really cartoony graphics.

The biggest hint is the demo disk I played of it. The demo disk had Battle Arena Toshinden, Big Red Racing, Knight's Chase, and of course this game on it.

Any ideas please let me know.

Thanks.
I believe this game was identified by voodoomoocow in another request about a month ago:

Do you think it might be Elroy's Costume Closet? The only footage I could find on YouTube is of a different game in the series, Elroy Hits the Pavement. There's also Elroy Goes Bugzerk.
The character is indeed yellowish, and I believe he's looking for his dog, Blue. He also has a sister named Syd.
