That's the one, thanks. New version looks pretty interesting too.Planeforger said:That definitely sounds like Evoland.
They're currently making a much bigger/better version on Steam Greenlight. Might be worth checking out?

Aside from Z, which was suggested earlier, you should also check Metal Fatigue and Total Annihilation.Reecie Foxx said:I'm reposting this in case anyone can please help me?
I have no idea what year it was but most likely early 2000s. It was a PC game that had robots/machines and you started out with a base. I think you had to mine metal but I can't remember. You could upgrade your robot machines to make them more powerful and go off to fight your enemies. If I remember correctly the enemies showed up as red dots and they had different types of machines including aircraft and boats for the water levels. Each building created a different machine/robot and each machine/robot took a different amount of time to be built. If anyone ever played the game Age of Empires it was similar to that except with robots/machines. I'm trying to give as many details as I can remember because this is really bugging me

Also the levels I remember were
1. on a high high building, brown sky and clouds were above and below so if you fell you would die.

Im sorry if this is too vague, but its been doing my head in for years trying to remember. I never got past the first level so i'll do my best to describe it, plus i'm trying to remember back 19 or so years.
I think the front cover on the case had a grim reaper type character, a skeleton wearing a black hooded cloak and I think he had a scythe too but can't be sure.
The game opens With a couple of pages of white text against a black background outlining the plot and backstory ( I Imagine).
You play as the hooded grim reaper character. The game is viewed from an isometric 3d perspective (like sonic 3d)
You start in a dungeon type room, you walk out through a door into a larger dungeon type room with burning torches on the walls. There is this giant worm that leaps from one hole in the floor, arching in the air and retreating down an adjacent hole.
Now all I can remember from now on is always ending up dead. I think the worm killed me or thinking about it there may have been a trapdoor i'd always fall down.
If anyone can get that from my sub par description I would be delighted.
Could be Lode Runner On-Line: The Mad Monks' Revenge.fantasyfan611 said:My brother and I used to play this computer game (I think on Windows 95 or older) where you controlled this little guy in a white robe and traveled through levels avoiding guys in red robes. You could dig holes to trap the red guys (or go through), climb ladders, etc. The goal was to collect gold coins. When you collected all the gold coins in a level then a doorway would open and you would go through to the next level. I'm trying to help my brother find it but neither of us can remember what its called. Any help with the name (and perhaps where we can find it ) would be great. Thanks!
Are you thinking of Hybrid Heaven? I can't imagine there being more than one N64 RPG that opens with an awkward shower scene, but you never know.coolzzzzzz said:snip
Sounds just like Comix Zone. It's been re-released several times as part of the Sega Collection so shop carefully for whichever platform you (might) decide to buy it on. I'm fairly certain that the version of the game Space Harrier I got on the 'Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection' was almost 100% arcade accurate, so perhaps Comix Zone is an accurate recreation as well.gnaughty said:snip
