I have been trying to remember the name of a certain computer game for about 17 years now. It was a dos game in black and white where you control a character that is static using the keyboard. You went around solving puzzles and collecting keys to open doors. There was no menu or instruction screen. you walk into enemies to fight them but normally the best option was to avoid them. I used to play this game in computer class in elementary school. The only games they had was this, Oregon Trail, and Yukon Trail. Someone please help me with this. I have been able to find no mention of anything like it in years of searching the internet.

Hello Everyone,

I was hoping for some help remembering a game I used to play on my old WIN98 PC. The game was a in first person view and was a 3D game. Basically, you were in outer space and you walked around slowly, I think you clicked on doors and rooms in order to walk in. I remember looking in the mirror, and recall the character having some sort of mechanism on one of his eyes. I think you would teleport, or go back in time in this Subway looking vehicle. I think the vehicle would teleport you to different worlds and/or different times. I think you had to pick up certain items, for instance a fuse for the time machine/vehicle. There wasn't much contact with other life in the game, that I remember. I vaguely remember having some sort of laser gun that looked more like a remoter control. I actually remember being attacked by something onboard a spaceship (Possible Alien?). Sorry, that is all I can remember. The era was 1995-1999.

Thank You

Unfortunately no. i remmber the maps looking more detailed, like um, more pixels. and there were no actual "people" looking robots.they were more like drones actually.

I just found out about this thread and i am hoping someone can help me, i remember playing this turn based rpg, pretty much clasical boy becomes some kind of knight thing, you could control a number of characters during combat at the same time like with most turn based games , the main detail i remember about the game is that at the middle of the game or possibly the end you board a big ship with most of your villager or town and it takes you to some island and on that island you find a city wit phoneixes, you also recruit one in your party ( the phoenixes look quite silly) the character look pretty much like the humans from the pokemon game (when exploring the world) and the movement is like that. Also it might be quite old since i remember i played it arround 2004 maybe on my pentium 2.

Found this thread via google search.

The game I've never been able to find the name of was played in/around 1994/1995 on a Mac.

I'm about 95% sure you were on another planet. There were alien cops and if you mouthed off to them, they would kill you and it would cut to an image of a brain in a jar and there would be an alien smoking a cigarette and the text would say something like "The aliens marveled at your small brain" or something along those lines.

You could walk into bars and get drunk. Basically the scene got blurry and I seem to remember that if you drank too much OR cussed at them, they would kick you out.

You had a free form text box to enter what you wanted to say. Of course as kids, the first thing we did was cus at them and that's how we discovered that you got killed for cussing at the alien police.

I have a game that I've been looking for, for years! I can see what it looks like in my head but I can't think of the name of it for the death of me. It's a PC game, I want to say it's in the 90's, but I'm not sure. You play as a little boy with orange hair and everything is cartoonish. You live in a big house with other people, it's like a big apartment house of some sort? With plenty of weird characters. You start off going to the kitchen because it's diner time, but your older sister says that the diner menu or whatnot is missing and you need to go find it somewhere in the house. From going to room to room and picking up things and solving puzzles to get different things in return for other things you get deeper into the house and what not. That's all I can remember. I do remember certain things about certain rooms. I remember you having to do a puzzle in the bathroom with boats or something. I remember having to get something from a soda machine. Getting milk from a cow that was in the kitchen. There was a certain room that you couldn't get into unless you had a vip pass. Haha. This was my favorite game to play as a kid, and I really want to remember what it is called and find it and play it and be happy. Haha. Can anyone help me out, please? :)

Hello, I found this thread from google, I hope someone could help me find this game's title.. This game was a JRPG game.. The console was Playstation 1.. I remember playing it at around 2002 or 2003.. This game has a turn-based battle system, similar to those of Final Fantasy 7,8, or 9.. The only thing I remember is a battle which the party is fighting a single man (drunk/crazy, or maybe a hooligan) using wooden spear/stick and twisting it, the battle is located in a storage/bar, maybe the party was challenged by him.. The bar/storage was located in a village at a middle of a forest.. this is the vague I can get, it's appreciated if someone can help me out.. :)

P.S sorry for my English.. :)

Ok there was a game made in the 90s that was for children. I can't remember the name for the life of me but:
It was a side scrolling game, the art seemed very Tim Burton like, it was filled with monsters and ghosts and took place in a school. You where a normal kid trapped there. The beginning of the game had lightning and I think you got attacked from monsters under the bed. It was an educational game too so you had to solve Math puzzles throughout the game. I also want to say it was black and white?
Thanks in advanced!
Bumping to see if anyone has anything on this. I've seriously looked all over. I don't remember if it was a demo or not but I'm hoping someone can help.

This sounds like Shining Force 2. Your people escape from their town on a ship crash onto a new continent and rebuild the town there. Peter the Phoenix finds you and you and your party accompany him to the birdman city of Tristan. This is a very popular game on the Sega Genesis/Megadrive

Hello everyone.

First of all, wonderful thread.

I've been desperate looking for this particular game and hoping anyone can help me.

My game is a PC game, some kind of resource gathering - kingdom / tribe building.

It features hunting, stone quarry and you may get more people from your population by "mating" your male and female people from your current population.

And later on you can also build some kind of military unit like archer or swordsman..

I played this game long time ago and I am kinda missing the game.

Anyone knows? Thanks in advance.. :)

Hi there!

First of all gr8 thread ;)
My game is a NES game, I played long ago. It's a side scrolling game, what I can remember, there were 3 playable characters:
- a samurai type person(long black hair, white and black combined robe with a blade)
- a guy with a pistol (if I remember correct, he had short hair, with green and black clothes)
- a guy with a machine gun type of weapon(full black with a black hat)
You had to fight over levels, like mansions (with lot of rooms to explore), chinese huts (it was on the second level of the game). On every end of the level in a room you had to fight with a boss. if the enemy caught you, you had the option to resume with one of the other 2 characters. There where rooms where you could find your captured character tied up and you could set him free. The gameplay resembles to Castlevania in some ways, but not much!

I hope anyone knows this game I'm looking for years now. Thanks :))

I'm looking for a murder mystery game, I think I played it in 2000. When you solved the mystery there would be a newspaper article saying how you solved it.

There were mini games in the game and everytime you won one, you'd get a clue to the suspect. Like there was a word game and a horse racing game and in the end when you went to solve the mystery in a lab, you'd hop on clouds? The clouds had to rhyme with the previous word or you'd fall.
Then when you got in the lab, you'd put your clues in a machine to solve it or something? I vaguely remember the guy you played with was a ghost or a reporter. There was a dining room game with the food too, you were in a big house, with a foyer and dining room. There was a graveyard too and the tombstones had words on them.
I really cant remember the name. I actually gave the discs of the games to my local aftercare centre and I really miss it.

This is a great forum

Hello everyone!

A friend of mine recently asked me about a game that?d start by your charakter (probably a ?hacker??) being involved in a car accident just to find himself in the sewers. It?s an fps, you start with (a lot of?) melee weapons like a lead pipe and the game vaguely resembles deus ex in that you can upgrade stuff and there are friendly npc?s down there with you, which involve some strange creatures. It reminded him of shadowrun, and it was supposed to have come out around the year 2000 (+/- 3/4 years).

Hello awesome people!

I am looking for a game that has a 2d map and there are 4 squid-like races playable, they collect these "water bubbles" and after a while some of your squids evolve into warriors, whilst slowly exploring the map from one side to the other. I remember the story of the 4 species living together but then the planet was destroyed by a "leviathan". If anyone knows the title of the game I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance!

After googling for about 2 weeks I came about this thread and I thought finally, hope and wisdom!.

This PC mind\logic game trace back to Win98\WinME. You start off in front of a castle and a gate with a safe out front, which you obv don't have the combination for. The first thing you basically see is a house you can enter, and inside it it's a study with a desk, window, picture frame etc. You click the window and a weird guy jumps up and laughs maniacally for a second then he's gone. (Scared the crap out of 8 year old me) Also, a guy in his late 50's\early 60's with glasses and little white hair, appears somewhat through the game, saying a bunch of things I can't remember.

I know the game was called something on C, like Connected or Confused or something but all my google searching haven't payed out and the CD is looong gone.

Does anyone know which game I'm talking about?

Thanks in advance!
