Old Games you remember playing but can't remember the name of.

Hey. I am trying to figure out the name of a old pc game I used to play. In the game you are a detective trying to figure out a murder mystery in a mansion. There are a number of rooms in the mansion. The easy levels have less rooms. There are more rooms as you advance levels. If you press the wrong clue, there is a sound of thunder which indicates you are incorrect. If you choose the correct clue, you will hear a ding. When you complete the level by clicking on the correct clues, it will show you the murderer's footprints which indicates what rooms he/she went in and how he/she killed the victim. The murder and victim character changes every level. This is all I can remember. Its been a long time since I played this game. Something reminded me of it so I wanted to play it. The only problem is that I can't remember the title of the game.

Hi guys, I just recently created this account after searching for almost 30 pages of this thread... I'm looking for an old, not-so-known game my sister just asked, I'll try to be as specific as I can...

- We played this game 11-12 years ago, so it must be between 95-2001
- It was a 3D third person adventure
- The main character was a man / guy / kid / boy with orange spikey hair
- If I don't remember, you have to fight some kind of aliens, or space creatures (not so sure about this though)
- You started on a beach, there were some people there, not too interactive, but i remember them
- According to my sister, the name of the game has the word "Star", but if your suggested games doesn't have it, it's ok, maybe we're wrong

Hi there.
I have 3 games floating around my head that I would be delighted to know the names of.

1) All I remember is the very beginning of the game. You choose between the male or female soldier/warrior, and proceed to the first area which is just a large hallway of a castle. I can remember it being difficult for me to find the first room I had to go to, because it was such a large hallway and there were doors along it. I also feel like I didn't understand why the game was named what it was, but that could have just been because I didn't ever get very far in it. I believe that it was for Playstation 1.

2) I remember being on a set of spiral stairs, descending actually. There was a little ghost girl in a white dress on the stairs that would attack me, unless I distracted her with a music box and slipped by her. I don't believe it was a Silent Hill game but if there's a particular one that someone thinks it was, I will check it out. I also believe this one was for Playstation 1.

3) The third was a more kiddish game, I think I played as a cat. I can only remember one level where I was down in the sewers. I remember the main character being really witty and funny - closest I've got is Sly Cooper but I'm not absolutely positive this was the game. Also believe this was for Playstation 1.

Ahh, neither were right. For #1, it was definitely a little more 3D than that. So maybe I've got the console wrong, maybe it was PS2, I'm not sure. For #2 I'm not certain that was it. I do believe it was a sort of adventure game.

I cannot remember the name of this game. It was for the PC and over 10 years ago. It was a top down like Diablo, It was set in the future I believe, and the character you played was a man in a red suit. There was shooting and puzzle solving and weapon upgrades. I've been searching for a while for an older game, I believe it was Japanese (which is why I can't find it) but translated into english. It was for playstation 2, and it is a turn based strategy RPG. The characters fought with "Ring Weapons", rings that became a weapon based on the soul of a wearer. The main playable character, or hero, fought with a large broadsword and had a case of amnesia. I remember it as being very wlel thought out, having many, multiple endings depending on which party members you were able to save, what you said to them, who you romanced, etc etc. If anyone could tell me what the name of this game is, I would much appreciate it.

I cant remember the name of a super nintendo game I use to play when I was a kid, all I can remeber is the first level your a little guy in a cave/undergroud and your in a little cart on wheels going on a track and you have a hard hat on with a light going and you have to jump the cart several times to get onto a new track when on ends when going really fast. I'm trying to remember an old PC game I played from when I was a kid, maybe mid 90s. The game played like a side scroller and you had to climb this massive stone city that was shaped like a stepped pyramid. I remember the lower levels being slummy and the upper levels were quite rich with some sort of palace on top. I want to say the premise was to assassinate someone up there, maybe royalty. I think the character was framed or something and the game may have started with breaking out of a dungeon of some sort. All of this was kind of fantasy medieval themed. Huge thanks to anyone who can remember this one!

i have one i think its for the ps not sure if one or two but anyways if i remember corectly it takes place in an alternate kind of russia with a enemy that reminded me of rasputan the battle system was turned based but u had a ring that spun around and had to stop it in certain orders to do stuff also the main charecture eventualy can turn into diffrent kinds of demons and u lvl them up pay paying tribute in a grave yard at least this is how i remember it i may be wrong but if anyone knows plz help out ty guys

Hello.
I've been searching for a game I used to play on win98, old game. It was fun and the whole family played it.
So, it was in 2D, I think you were in a role of a miner and you had to complete several levels, by killing all the monsters in the level or getting to the finish(I think)...first monster I remember is a blue thing, its moving like your charecter - following your steps, others are like some kind of aliens, purple, red,... While you were digging dirt, you could move rocks and with them you could kill some of the monsters (if it fell on them). You could also use dynamite and bombs to destroy something.
First room is full of dirt and two blue monsters, one is trapped in a rock room. There is one more level full of rocks, and you had to move them so the entrance to complete the level is opened.
Oh, and when you die there is a picture of a death stone and R.I.P. on it.
I tried to find it, but all I could find were some newer versions on the online sites for games, not so cool.

It kind of sounds like one of the many types of boulderdash.

It must be a rare one, or probably doesn't even exist hehe.

about 13-14 years ago I played a PC game in my technoloy discovery class in high school that required that you point and click certin areas of the screen. it took place in an advanced alien like world that had forest grown up all around it. you could interact with the creatures and make them fall inlove and even mate getting an egg to hatch a so forth. the graphic where pretty good at the time also. I have tried finding this game for years and have had no luck. when you clicked on certin thing something would happen through out the world, like a door unlocking or releasing a rope that was otherwise unreachable. the little alien creature where neat I have not seen anything like then since and kind of reminded me of Fraggels from fraggel rock.

If anyone has any idea of what this game may be please help me out I loved it back then but was only able to play it a couple times with each time having to start from the begining because of lack of being able to save the game on a school computer...

Please someone find this game it's for windows I think. This is the only part I remember. You played what I think was a detective. If you used your gun on the window he would throw it put the window and someone would shot and kill you. I think was point and click.
