Hi, I'm desparately trying to find the name of the following game and am hopeful someone will be able to help:
I played it in the mid-90s, definitely after 1991 and definitely before 1996. It was a PC point and click type adventure game, set in medieval England(?). I remember the graphics being very good for the time, colourful and cartoony, almost like 2D painted backgrounds I think. A couple of the scenes in which you explored at the beginning of the game were a blacksmith's, an inn, an alleyway, a huge locked door entrance to a dungeon (which I never managed to go beyond). There was lots of dialogue, and collecting of objects to be used later. Also many of the scenes had half-timbered old buildings in them, it sort of had the feel of UK kid's gameshow 'Knightmare' (the outdoor sections specifically), for those of you that are familiar with that! I also remember that it had quite a substantial review & screenshots in a games magazine I bought at the time, so hopefully it wasn't too obscure (this is all in the UK by the way).
I had it in my head for ages that it was called Baldur's Gate, but it definitely definitely isn't that one - that was later, looks nothing like it, and was far more complex and RPG-like than the one I'm thinking of. However the period in which it was supposed to be set is sort of similar.
Any help would be hugely appreciated!
***EDIT*** Just found it - it was 'Lure of the Temptress'. Siiiiiiick.
