Ok... this is driving me INSANE. I've been looking for a couple hours and can't find it. I found someone ELSE looking for the game a year ago on Yahoo answers, but no one was ever able to tell them what it was.

It was a science/biology-type educational game for the PC. I think it was made 1995 - 2000. The main character was a red haired scientist in a lab coat who was balding on top. I think he had glasses too. The game was cartoon-y and light hearted, from what I remember.

According to the other person I saw searching for the game:

"The game had a lot of puzzles and scientific facts, but I remember little else.

The only lyric I remember to the song they sung was 'Biology, Biology, it's the study of you and me!' 'There was a 'hub' where you could select which section of the game you wanted to go into, I think there was also a physics section, where it gave you various physics puzzles to solve' "

Anyone know or have any guesses?

Hey guys i've been trying for years to remember what this was, i recently stumbled upon the title picture Another World/Out of this world, which was another title driving me crazy to know. Well this other game -images that have been haunting my head in curiosity ...all i can explain is it was an older game mayb 96-2000 but i remember seeing the "trailer" for it and the 3d cinematic depicted a young boy (medieval lookin setting) with his sword strapped to his left upper arm/shoulder and he encounters a fairy or something that in a female voice tell him that he will defeat an evil force and she teleports him somewhere and then i think it shows just clips and images of the game while she narrates.
If anyone can recall i'm dying to know been kinda hunting old games i remember as a kid and tryin to find em to play. Oh yeah if anyone can find pics of that cinematic it would really help. I'd say the 3D graphics were probably the same quality (maybe somewhat less) than that of that show reboot. (To clarify it didn't look like reboot, just similar rendering)

Hello guys. Recently I remembered a game that I used to play many years ago. A 2D scroller. It's a computer game in which you control a yellow egg with arms and legs. There were many different and colourful levels. I remember that there were treasure chests and eggs. I think that the goal of the game was to find all the eggs. There were aquatic levels, candy themed levels, others like a cave... I can't remember. There was a room with doors to access the levels; doors that were unlocked as long as many eggs you collected through the levels. Maybe there were no doors, but pipes, like the Mario ones. The cover was the main character on a skateboard that appeared in some levels.

EDIT: OMG!!! Suddenly I remebered the name of the egg!!! It was Speedy Eggbert!!! Writing this has awakened my almost death neurones! Thanks for... for helping me to awake my long-term memory.

hello everyone!

I can't for the life of me remember the name of a game i used to play, so i thougth let's try it here!
It is a turn based game, isometric view and somewhat old (i'd say it was made around maybe the year 2000.)
You did not build a base or anything, but you had a set number of units for each level.
You could "research" or upgrade your units to make them better in between the levels.
It was a fantasy like setting (so no future/sci-fi, or historical game)
There was a fog of war, you would only see enemy units that where in sight.
It wasn't a really well known game like heroes of might and magic or something like that.

The story was about an invasion or something like that, and i remeber that in the story the enemie could shape terrain to their will. This was present in gameplay in a way that the terrain always suited the enemies, for instance i remember a level where your units all had to cross a bridge, and behind that bridge where 2 plateaus with higher terrain.
Higher terrain gave you more range.

I would really appreciate any help!!!

I remember in probably 2005(ish) there was a PC detective game. It wasn't online you had to download it. You played as a male detective in a mansion. You could only move in a room on certain tiles and I think the point was to retrieve a clue/item and then exit the room. The floor tiles might have been colored according to their danger. It was sort of like minesweeper where it would tell you how many tiles around it were dangerous (2, 1 etc.) Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! I really used to love this game but can't find it now.
Sounds like BeTrapped!.
Thank you so much!! That is exactly what it is! You are amazing!

Can someone remember this game? where you have to escape from a old castle and the boss is a giant brain?
You had to press arrow keys to move from room and avoid being killed by weird bat guy.
I think the main character was a pizza delivery boy.

It was a really old PC game.
Is it possible its Braindead 13? I remember having it on CD as a kid, but never played it due to the fact that it was REALLY fucking hard. I remember you being in a castle, and the title relates to brains. I think this guy used to kill you in horrific ways if you took the wrong turn ( e.g putting you in a blender etc. ) .

this one game...
it was on windows 98 or XP,where you are alien and there are other aliens that look different.it had more than one game, and one of them was to go into factories and save some of aliens that are like you...the "you" alien is close to human structure, while other aliens are way different, in the factory thingy, they were with more than 2 legs..they holded guns, and shoot you on sight. you could do some stuff to kill them, like move some stuff or drop some stuff, however you never used a weapon, but you could (in certain conditions) do a "ewewewewewewew" sound and with some kind of..alien power (that for some reason i remember being used by the 0 button), you'd control their mind, move them around, and make them kill other other aliens.to end control, you basically make the alien you are controlling blow up..literally.if a guy spots you and you run before they kill you, the music switches to something that's like "runrunrun" not saying that, but giving you the mood for that.there were switches, electricity that'd zap you if you go into them..your alien could jump and run as well, it's more like a sidescroller...that's the closest i can get it to.as for year, i'm afraid i have no idea at all when it was released...id say i played it 2000-2006(i know that is really wide, i'm sorry), but i could have played it many years after it was released.
i'm not also very sure..but i think the alien you used was called "Ed" or something longer..?

I've been searching for this game for years, hoping someone on here can help!

It was a CD-ROM disc playable on PC in the mid-late 1990s. You navigated by way of a bizarre maze that seemed to change layout frequently, and at the end of each corridor was a different game, usually demos but not always. The games varied from a basic version of Dogz to Tritryst and adventure games. All I remember about the case was that it was a white cardboard slipcase.

If anyone can help, I will be eternally grateful!

A PC game, a 3D platformer game where you play as an egg and you roll around on grass blocks and reach a goal. You avoid bugs and I think it may be similar to Ilomilo. Please help out!

I've recently stumbled across the DotEmu website along with classicdosgames too ... as such, my mind has been awash with the memories of long forgotten games. Here are two that I'm having immense difficulty finding (even with google images XD)

---- 1 ----
2D, Top-down puzzle/maze type game for the PC. You controlled a golden egg/sphere/orb (Movement via arrow keys, one press = one move), and your job was to navigate large levels and collect an assortment of different point-value blocks and bonus/malus blocks. I more vividly remember a particular section of a level where you were required to travel through a narrow passage (the game was built on a square grid) but to do so you were forced to collect a Malus block, which in this case was a division block, in order to pass and 'walk' on top of a coloured switch on the floor. The switches always (by memory) came in pairs; One would be embossed, the other engraved in appearence. moving on top of the embossed one would flip the pair and open or close one (or possibly more) blocks/doors that would otherwise block your path. Another level i remember was a relatively small map (maybe 4 screens in a rough square) which was subdivided into square chambers. each chamber was filled with a variety of switches and you would need to switch specific ones as the incorrect ones would flip lines of blocks preventing progress. I believe the 'goal' of each level was to simply reach the end-block which i think was an animated pulsing tile (possibly orange/yellow)

I don't remember there being any enemies, though I could be wrong.
I believe this ran in a forced full screen (99% sure) as it was a very old game, i don't remember it actually coming out during my age, so it might actually be before my time; i would estimate its age between 15-25 years ... cant really get much more specific i'm afraid.
Lastly, each level was quite vividly coloured, the blocks all being bright and cheerful.

---- 2 ----
A more recent game than the one above. Controlled with the arrow keys and spacebar (plus maybe another control), you were tasked to unwind lengths of string/rope that crossed over each other (an OC's worst nightmare). I think that in almost every level there was a seamstress in the background, or at least a lady working on something fabric related. The gameplay was very puzzle based, but was against the clock. As you unwound the flips and knots (highlighting and un/twisting the open ends with space) the lengths below would flip to a new position. Another complication was that each flip actually flipped the way you wound/unwound the strings; You could only unwind if the cursor was in the right orientation which meant you had to attack the problem systematically and in pairs of knots. You were unable to progress to the knots further up the screen until both of the lengths of string involved were unknotted and free hanging. Every few seconds, maybe half a minute, a 'thing' would scroll down the entire play field and bring the whole playing field down a notch with it. If a knot reaches the bottom, it was game over. The first few levels were quite easy and you could almost fly through it blindfolded just alternating left and right with the space bar. Later levels included more challenging scenarios and i believe they added other conditions.

I do remember that there was some kind of bonus you could achieve by matching two symbols that randomly appeared, one at the top and the other at the bottom of the screen. They would 'attach' to the end of a strand and flip along with them as you unwound them. If you managed to connect the two symbols by the same strand (i think) then you got a bonus. There were also special moves that you had a limited number of. If you highlighted a knot that you couldn't normally undo, you could use a special move and undo it regardless.
---- -- ----

Thank you for reading, and thanks again if you are able to help me remember and possibly recover these old gems.
If we DO find out what they are, i will likely end up giving you a shout out when i play them on my streams. ^^'

Well hello everyone My name is John And i would like to ask you all for your help ! :p

Basicly there was this game where i loved as a kid i remember i couldn't play it (sucked at it since i was very young still)But i remember the reason i played it so much was because of the units i really like that type of games and now that im older i would like to try and beat the game :)

Features i remember from the game are very few but i hope it helps:
The game was a very old PC strategy game.
It had a dark feel to it.
i remember that most maps if not all had dinosaurs im not sure if they were passive or aggressive.
You could play as skeletons and lizardmen or atleast those are the two factions i remember.
Also i remember that some units (lizardmen i think)could ride raptor dinosaurs.

Well thats all i remember i will try really hard to remember more but if you know the game please tell me im so nostalgic and really want to play that game again.

P.s sorry for bad english not native speaker.

When I was a kid my dad and I played a scifi car shooter of some kind on Windows 95/97/98. Not a death race type game; we drove down a road and enemies would attack. There was a quest of sorts, like a Mad Max thing, but very high tech. Twin laser guns were mounted on the roof and would shoot green dual beams down into the center where the reticle was. I vividly remember a brief 2-second cutscene in which the character yells "Land mines!" and there were 2 enemies on bikes throwing down mines on the road. We had to shoot the mines to avoid getting blown up.

Immense nostalgia. Not sure if this is a good description, but please help!

hello everyone. I hope someone can help me with this one. Its a Video arcade I played in 1992 when I stayed in Hotel general walker, in Obersalzberg, Germany. It where a us army recreation center so it must have been importet from us?

Anyway, I dont remember the name, but its was a lot like castlevania, but the plot where with a sword and more "ninja style". it was a very futuristic machine world

What I remember most where the sword. It was like a laser.. cool white circle. Then you could jump around, and hang yourself to different machines etc, while being shot at from different droids and the like.

What else do I remember? There where no humans to fight. Just robots and droids (i am not quite sure, its like 20 years ago).

In this game you where fighting to get to the top (not left to right as in castlevania). On the top, and the last level you where in "the sky". I remember the cool feeling of being on the top of the world, and would like to see if there are pictures of this on the net or something.

Thanks in advance
