Hey guys. I am struggling to find a game, but I guess that is why most people are here.

The details that I can remember are...

"There was this old game, probably around 1997-2005 that I played was on windows. All I can remember was it had 2 stages, a platformer-like stage that was mainly used. The board screen was used to move something around, I cannot remember specifically what. There was many doors all over the screen, either linked to each other, or linked to the flip side of the wall. On top of that, you walked around and could use magnets to stop robots from advancing. I cannot remember if it was educational, or just a kids game."

Thanks to whoever remembers it!

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a PC game that had 3 factions based on a tiled map. You battled to take control of control points with a group of units you commanded with other people who had their own units and the units were very starcraft-esque. For example, on faction had tanks, artillery etc and another faction MAY have been zerg-like but I'm not entirely sure...

It was quite futuristic and sci-fi but had poor graphics but great gameplay.

If anyone could help, that would be great THANK YOU!

EDIT: The game was early 2000s I think and there was a system where you could vote for a leader (real player) for your faction regularly. I'm not sure about this but you could also pay to upgrade your units/having to replace or repair them? You could definitely level them up with the fighting I think. It was in third person, angled-down view, similar to Starcarft. Graphics actually quite similar to Starcraft.

Edit 2: Some more information is that it was FREE TO PLAY and you didn't have to build building for units, the units entered straight into battle with you (and units came in groups of like 8 or 10, not individually. There were also no heroes.

EDIT 3: I think the faction colours may have been red, blue and purple? (or perhaps green)

Hello guys,

I am looking for an older 3D computer game, where you are, what I think, was an astronaut. You would walk around and collect these orange oval things that I figured were ore and you would use them to construct buildings and create robots. I also remember you having to build batteries to put in the robots to make them work. I remember on specific robot could hover around an pick up the ore. I think it all took place on a planet or something.

If you can help me figure this out I will be very grateful.

Thank you

There was a train game I used to play on a 386 as a child.
It was a 2D game with almost no graphics.
The top part of the screen was a red line moving along a white line representing the train and the stations that you had to stop in, there was also a gradient line.
Then at the bottom there were dials indicating braking power, engine power, and there were some coloured train lights, either green, red or yellow which you would have to press space for.
You would start in London King's Cross and work your way North, using either a a steam train or electric train.
Any ideas?

NEED A HELPING HAND PLEASE! It was a PC game, not an old one - The only thing I remember that it's a game with a black male in the beginning, in a car traffic. Suddenly, a plane falls onto this huge car traffic then as a black male you save people and etcetera because apocalypse has just begun. You find a young girl and complete quests with her. It's kind of cartoon game, and NO - Its not the walking dead game
Bad Day LA ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9aDWolc9vY )
thank you!!

Either Super Double Dragon, or one of the Rushing Beat games on SNES: Brawl Brothers, Rival Turf, Peace Keepers...

Hello, fellow escapists! I am searching for a long lost old DOS game, where you control a boy on a 2D plane, shooting snake-like lines straight up, to pop circular baloons of various sizes and colors, using regular lines, and line powerups. I know for a FACT, that IS IS NOT BUBBLE BOBBLE, so don't even bother to say it! Thanks in advance, everyone!

Hi - I am trying to find a game that I played around the late 1990s / early 2000s. It was a Dungeons & Dragons style game where you had to control four characters. You did battles mainly in dungeons and when one of the characters died you could collect their remains until you had the correct potion needed to bring them back to life. When all four characters died, the game was over.

The game was mainly played in dungeons, however you could wander round the countryside and fight random groups of bad guys. The groups of bad guys were graded by how challenging they were with the most difficult ones being represented by a skull.

I can't remember too much else ... if anyone can remember the name please do let me know!

Thanks!

I remember it was a gameplay trailer, or more it felt like a technological demo, showing off an engine without any HUD (ammo, health etc). I think I saw it between years 2006-2007. It was a First Person Shooter set in some sandy town which felt like Egypt, Turkey or Iraq, the place where it was happening looked like this - http://bit.ly/1btublC ... you know this kind of a building structure, I also remember that there was a little sandstorm going through that place, enemies were all over the place - on roofs, on balconies, in alleys, enemies were also wearing this on head - http://bit.ly/1d1D1xO ... person which you controlled could lean over objects, was holding and shooting from a weapon which looked like FN-FAL - http://bit.ly/1cvMngh or HK21 - http://bit.ly/1hL3YaZ ... at least I think, and in a background was playing some kind of an orchestral Arabian/Turkish felt-like music. I don't even know if that game was released or cancelled, or if it was just some kind of a technological demo, and I also don't know for what platforms it was made for. Can't remember more.

I won't give up posting 'til someone knows a name of this game.

COME. ON. ALREADY!

Hey everyone. Looking for a name of an old game. It was a spaceship looking sim with time travel as its main theme. You had to refuel it on gas giant planets. As well you needed 4 parts from different civilizations. What you did is you seeded 4 or 3 dont remeber different kinds of life on different planets. Deserts, Aquatic and something else. And then traveled in time. You can see the timeline on the civilizations you planted and see them invent something or crysis. After that you could go back or forward in time and talk somone on the planet who thought you were some kind of god (i guess it was your priest). So you had to solve some crysis or even sometime take some inventions out of civilization so it wont destruct itself. After some time you civilizaion grew enoug smart to make some part that you actualy could install to your spaceship and I guess fix it eventiualy (never finished that game).

Sorry, just found it.

How close to Soldier of Fortune: Payback are we talking?

The only other games I can think of are the Conflict games, Desert Storm and Denied Ops. But there could be hundreds with a deserty/Middle Easty level made between 2003-2008. It's like asking for a WWII shooter from 1999. Or a side-scrolling platformer with a cute character on the SNES. There were, like, over 9000 at that point.

Tech demos rarely end up being anything like the games you see, so there's a good chance the demo you saw never made it to a final game, or if it did it would be unrecognisable. Seeing as nearly every FPS in 2006 put a sandy-brown filter over everything, there could be dozens of trailers that never saw the light of day. Unless you played a finished released version of something, I don't think you'll ever find it.

Hi guys around 2000-2003 I've played a small top-down perspective game where you play as a fox goes around, grabs eggs and go to the finish. There're multiple characters (the fox) to choose, and one of them is "Lulu". It has checkpoint on the way indicate by a checkerboard flag and when you step on it, the character will say "Checkpoint!" (I don't know if I remember exactly about the flag).
That's all the things I can pull from my memory. Thanks :D
The game is called Varmintz. It's a bunch of racoons collecting eggs. Lulu is one of the playable chracters.

And also, sorry for the double post, but I could REALLY use your help, guys.

There was a game on Sega Mega Drive; a horizontal space shmup with anime-like sprites. You played a boy who flies a fighter jet, the first level is in the day sky above the city, and one of the enemies that I can remember are these metal crocodile-like heads that came snapping at you. It was also possible to play it as a co-op game, and it sure as heck was difficult.
The second level was in some space station you board, but seeing how I played the game as a kid, I couldn't get past that one.

So please, if anyone has even a remote idea, I would be extremely grateful <3

I have one that is driving me crazy. It is a PC game from many many years ago. it is a RPG game where you play as a creatable character that if i remember correctly is a prisoner that is charged with saving a princess that was kidnapped by a troll or ogre and taken to an underground dungeon. I remember that you could create spells with runes and had to manage your inventory and scrounge for weapons, armor, and food. If it helps i remember that the game came out around the same time that the wing commander for PC back in the 90's

I have been trying to find a game I played as a kid on a family friends 386 pc. It was developed by Sierra and I played it around 1992-94? You played a ship pilot like a space pirate who would travel the galaxy like a simulation meets and RPG. It isn't space quest. I have been trying to find the name of this game for years, I want this monkey off my back! lol

Did it look like this? ( http://www.unseen64.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/tr-military-shooter-02.jpg )

If so it's a tech demo that Terminal Reality did, (it later became Ghostbusters, so the game doesn't exist)

I don't have a name for the project, so i can't find the actual teaser/trailer.
