Can't remember a game. It is from mid-90s, isometric adventure or RPG or farm/village simulator. You start in a village as a young kid with a sword (?). The only thing I remember is a cow standing in a pen, and it mouwed through the soundblaster.
I think the game had awkward controls and I never played it much.

The game I'm thinking of had people and you had to dodge the moving objects (I forgot what the objects were) and shoot them to get to the next level. There were also weapons you could pick up. There were shotguns and flamethrowers and rocketlaunchers and stuff like that. If you got hit you get a life taken away but you could pick up more lives and bonuses like invincibility and move faster

ok, i know exactly what game im looking for (so sorry for asking here) I'm looking for that old space rpg *Albion*, but every copy i have downloaded sofar does not work (it comes up with error box says something like: This program does not work with your version, make sure you know what version you are using *32/64* and then try again... or something (i cant remember as the last version i deleted 2 weeks ago)...

I am running windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit): 6.1, build:7600

thank you

EDIT: what im asking for is (not cracks/downloads if possible... at least not from anything like kickass etc) a site where i can download direct, or with an easy to use emulator from the same site as the game, (also, please note, the above error quote happens whenever i get a (DOSBOX game... although Lands of Valor works perfectly)
The problem is not the game but your operating system is to new.

There a 2 solutions, first try to run it in compatibility mode, right click on the exe file, properties, Compatibility and than select something like windows 98 or XP.

Second method is to run a virtual operating system using Virtualbox or MS Virtual PC (both are free to download). But you will need a copy of the OS you want to run.
thank you for the answer and help, but...(also, please note, the above error quote happens whenever i get a (DOSBOX game... although Lands of Valor works perfectly), Isn't Lands of Valor much older???

Thanks again tho but this has me real confused

EDIT: the actual problem is... it wont get past any of these files...DOS4GW/INSTALL/MAIN/SETUP... or CD>AUTORUN or CD>ALBION>ROOT>ALBION/MAIN or CD>ALBION>INSTALL/DOS4GW/SETUP (Each time i click any of these, it doesnt even think, just says: exact quote "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit or 64-bit)version of the program and then contact the publisher) NOTE: my friend got this to work perfectly WITHOUT virtual copy... i have tried all *compat* modes (inc win 98/me)

EDIT X 2: i have found a working copy (it says) here... also to any one else reading this post... maybe your old games can be found here? http://www.old-games.com/download/3875/albion

Well that is strange, a DOSBOX game should almost always running. Because Doxbox is an dos emulator for a lots operating systems. Do you have the latest version from http://www.dosbox.com/ ?

I think there is something whit your PC? You did not deleted the folder C:\Windows\SysWOW64?

Okay, I have two games I can't remember.

The first one was from primary school on the old Mac computers we had. It was basically puzzle solving, where you had a robot or something and could only move so many times in a temple of some sort. Outside of those elements, you had other puzzle solving (I particuarily remember something about a witch doctor being sick because of a poison dart! There was also making a bridge with angles and controlling a boat down a river. EDIT: This one was Crystal Rainforest!

Second one, again educational and puzzle solving, it's 11pm and at 12 midnight, the mansion you're in is going to be torn down by a greedy rich man. You have one hour (each time you enter a new room, it takes one minute) to find something to stop it happening. Around the place are puzzles which you can solve which give yellow, glowing dust which gives you some more time. It was primarily a puzzle solving, point and click.

Thanks

I cannot remember if posting again after about a month is alright... I just don't think people would have seen my post now as it's deep within the forum. You know how it works. Nonetheless...

There was this one PC game a long time ago where you had to condition robots how to walk by placing markers that gave the robots "points" until one of them realized by mistake that going closer to it gives points, thus reinforcing it and doing it more and more. Then you had to condition them in order for them to learn how to walk around walls and such by placing a wall and a marker on the other side. The robots would smack into it until one of them accidentally slipped around, and the others slowly figured it out too. You did the same for teaching them how to shoot at other robots and dodge shots, etc.

It wasn't a game about programming really, and the robots were humanoid looking. So it wasn't robowars or robo arena, etc.

I don't have a name for you, but might help to add "path nodes" to your search terms, since that's usually the term for AI "markers".

So I after searching the first 50 manually pages I gave up and decided to ask.

It was a PC game from the mid to late 90s ish, taking place on a mountainside, where, as you progressed, you climbed the mountain and there was more snow. It was a fantasy/magical setting, and I think you were chasing a treasure thief.
I want to say it was a puzzle game.
At one point or another, you climb up a maze of ladders, having to find which ladder goes up to the treasure chest at the ceiling. It think this happened relatively often.

Hi !
I'm looking for a game which came out in early 90's, in 2D. And you can play 4 different characters ... I know this isn't very specific, and I'll be happy if you'll give me just a list of title =)
That could probably describe tons of games... You need more details, that is way too vague.

One of the character was a dragon, in fact, it was a girl who has been transformed into a dragon. Does it help more ?

Ok new to the site so hi all,

I'll apologise straight off because i could be making up half the stuff im going to say.

So it is a kind of god/RTS/strategy game and i say this with no real memory of what the point of the game was, i remember you had your base town whatever and you gained manna and this was used to create your army different amounts of mana would get you a different soldier (fantasy) so dragons etc.. as far as i can remember you didn't really control your men once they were created off they went to fight also i have a memory of pyramids and i cant remember if when you changed your soldier they turned into the pyramid while transforming or thats where you collected the manna. And this game is going to be certainly a fair few years ago maybe even 10+ years. the worse thing is if i do find it and play it i will probably be disappointed.

I remember playing a game on the amiga called M.U.D.S loved it played a few years back, just not the same.

I have been trying to remember this game for years and for the life of me I can't. I've looked under listing of games and spent hours looking on the internet or places that sell old games. The game can only be on the NES SNES or Sega I know the main character is female and her color is split in half, one side has a bat wing and she was purple I think, the other side had (could be wrong) an angelic wing and was pink. The wings are on her hat by the way. If you keep shooting your energy the power and rate of fire begins to decrees. I also know the shop you could go to in game sold a white color, and maybe one other color. One of the first bosses you fight is just a big revolver that follows you around and shoots one of two different color energy shots. At a much later level in the beginning you can go left or right and depending on the path you pick a serpent type monster with a head on each end eats you, the rest of the level involves you traversing the inside of this (lets call it a dragon) till you exit the other end. I know later on one of the bosses you fight transforms into a werewolf. The last thing I remember is during the credits you could play as a few of the characters from the game, at least most of the bosses, including a male character that for the life of me I can't remember how he was important (ends up turning good I believe but the reasons are lost to me)

Since the first time I posted this I've really only remembered that you could also create shields to protect yourself from incoming fire. Almost everything in the game revolves around color, you could block the same colored attack and do more damage with the opposite color they attacked you with. The main characters color would change depending on if you are looking left or right. You could also hit a button and she would face the screen for a second and the colors would switch sides so that when looking left your color is purple and right is pink it would switch to pink left and purple right. Also MOST of her attacks are energy fired from her hand as she holds her thumb and forefinger up in a "gun". As stated before firing fast or charging up the attack for large blasts would quickly decrease the power and rate of fire for the rest of you attacks, at least till you got to a shop or I THINK picked up energy found in the levels

Ok so this game has been driving me mad for a while, I just can't remember what on earth it was called.
I played it with my dad as a kid on an old mac, in or around 2002/ 2004 perhaps?

So basically you were this dude in a small spaceship, and if I recall correctly a princess or someone got kidnapped and you had to fight through loads of different levels increasing in difficulty to rescue her.
A 2D game, the ammo the spaceship used was banana's and you had to collect boxes of banana's to fill you ammo. I remember in one of the first missions you have to get through this space world, dodging asteroids varying in size. There were aliens in little u.f.o type ships that you had to kill also. Racking my brain for more memories here :p
Another mission in these giant pipes with green slime and aliens. There was some strategy to it with activating levers to open doors and tunnels ect.
Your character wore one of those old racing caps with the goggles and straps flying back with the wind.

Anyhow if anyone knows the game, i'd be v.grateful.
P.s I thought the game was called something along the lines of "captain banana" but couldn't find it on google.

This is driving me nuts.
Old farm/garden simulator, late 90s to early 2000s PC game. Fat farmer with a really generic name like Bob or Tom or something to that effect. I remember that it wasn't in a box; my grandfather gave it to me in a white CD sleeve.
Pretty sure it was mainly garden, not farm. And there were decorations like birdbaths, water towers, gnomes et cetera. Your plants could easily get overwatered or dried up and even get blight. I wish I remembered more about it. Very basic but addictive.
