Hey guys, getting desperate, please help:

I remember playing this game for the PC as a kid (mid 90's, maybe?) - it was a demo so I only had access to one level, but it was a 3D game where you flew a kind of a ship, had to search for survivors and rescue them (by "teleporting" them into your ship and subsequently out of the ship into some other facility) while defending the survivors and yourself from giant insects (ants (?), wasps) and arachnids (spiders, scorpions). I think you could shoot them with...umm...lasers? The level was like a small planet, ergo, I think there were no physical limits, rather, you would just fly around the said planet in a relatively short time.

I might be mistaken about some of the above, in which case I'm sorry - I was but a kid, it was a long time ago and I didn't get the chance to play the game nearly as much as I would have liked to.

Appreciate the help :)
Bump... any ideas? Anyone?

Omfg, I'm so glad I found this forum.

Guys, there is a game that is bugging me for years. I think I played it around 2000... since I was born in 1994, it probably was around 1998~2002 or such.

I can't remember many details of it, but I recall having a character with a pogo stick and a ball that was always with me, there were holes in the ground with spikes on them that you should avoid .. I think it was sort of a sidescroller (2D), it was on PC, probably a DOS game, with not many collors on it.

That's all I can remember, but I can say that I recall playing the DOS Lion King game on that time as well, and another game in which you were a kid that had to escape from some people chasing you (maybe you were a thief), and you should jump though carpets and things to avoid them, sidescroller as well. It would be nice if someone knew this game's name too, but I recalled it here just to situate you guys...

Please, if anyone know the name of these 2 games, tell me! :(
#1: one of the Commander Keen games? ( http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WHPEXjnS7l4/TdCfJu-zcBI/AAAAAAAAE1s/j2vHdqcPe9I/s1600/Commander_Keen_4_DOS_06.png )

Holy shit dude, I went to check the Commander Keen 4 and, although I don't remember anything past the first map, I'm pretty sure it was that game, mostly because of the smiling ball (my heart stopped for a moment when I say it, LOL).

I think my soul can rest in peace now, thanks very much brah! I appreciate it!

Well, I might as well toss one I have been trying to remember for a while on the pile. Game probably was somewhere in the 90's, fairly sure it was on CD-ROM. Its a racing game, and the image I mostly have burned on my brain is racing on a motorcyle on a mountain road. I think you had to move around trucks (you overtook them I think, not so much they coming from behind). And I think maybe you also had to dodge some kind of cattle?

For some reason I connect this game to the 1995 RPG Thunderscape. I don't know if we had two different CD-ROMS at the same time and if it was some kind of package deal (buy one get two), if the CD-ROM had both games on it, or maybe they weren't related at all and I was just playing them at the same time.
Ah, a while ago it suddenly came to me that the game probably had "Mania" in the game. And just now I remembered the rest of the title. Cyclemania is what I was looking for. I doubt anyone would ever see this post by now (its on page 402 :p), but I still wanted to let people know I got my answer. Sadly, its not on GOG.

I have got some cleared places in my memory too. Around 2002 in our shopping center were placed Playstations (don´t know number, sorry) with a game. I remember just really small parts.
It was 3D. You play as a guy, you have some orange colored monster friend and I think you use him as a sword to hit another monsters. I remember collecting some things that looks like bonuses in Neon Rider World, just not blue but gold. (Google some pictures, you will recognize it when you see it) I remember getting one by hitting some big egg off the cliff and breaking it. Also, I remember level, where you were sliding in blue tunnel and evading tentacles and other obstacles coming from the ground, then you have to escape raising water in vertical tube by jumping on the platforms.
I remember I really liked to play it, but I don´t have single idea what the name could be. Thx for any help.

So I remember playing a game for the PS2 when I was younger. I never got far in it because I was bad at games back then, but in the first level I remember trying to collect a certain amount of things (gears, maybe?) in a kinda dark nighttime setting. I remember specifically some bars you had to use to cross a gap in the ground. I believe the level ended with a cave exploding.

I am trying to remember the name of an old computer game. Probably played it on the 90's. I remember at the beginning you had to answer questions because you had to be a certain age to play. It was the type of game where you typed in the actions you wanted to be completed, example "pick up flowers off of the table". I believe the setting was in a bar. The objective was to flirt with women and try to get them to come back to your apartment. Does this ring a bell to anyone?

Sounds like Speed Freaks / Speed Punks, but that's for PS1 ( http://www.giantbomb.com/speed-punks/3030-13178/images/ )

Hi everyone, I am trying to find a real time strategy game. It is quite fictional.
In the game, there is a hero. One of his arm is mounted with a canon.
Also, I remember there is a type of destroyer with two laser canon, one at the front and one at the aft. It can shoot underwater units. There is also a type of cursers which have four canon and lunches motor rounds.
There is also a type of infantry with motor which is in blue. It is very efficient against building when in group.
The game use worker (or similar people) to mine recourses and bring them back to a command center or another building (I forgot the name of it). They can also build building use small tool.(like in age of empires)
There is airfield which is very long but unit can pass through its runway. Aircraft (expect helicopters) need to refuel and rearm form it. I remember their is a huge bomber that can drop a mini-nuke. It need to rearm after every drop.
The is also robot in the game. I remember a orange robot, which can shoot a beam, can walk underwater and target underwater units. There is also a blue and red robot, which cannot go underwater, that it can shoot sonic wave an damage close-by units.
The game have a defensive tower which is very big (like a lighthouse) that shoot white beam at enemies. Walls can be built and can be upgrade as a gate.
I remembered the first mission of the game have a intro cut screen a fleet of naval ship being destroyed.
That is all I can remember, I think it is the best rts game at that time.
Thx for all the help.

This is a really weird one.
I played it when I was really young in the late 90's but it's probably older than that, I think my grandfather gave it to my family when he gave us his old Mac. It was a black and white, point and click, flash game. I remember that it had really minimal sound design and was really trippy. It was POV as a person wandering around this maze-like series of rooms. At one point you encountered a rabbit in a waste coat and you may have played chess(?) at one point. A very solid memory I have is of getting onto a gondola and going the wrong way, ending up in a bathtub, and going down the dragon of the bath tub. As a kid I was perpetually confused about what I was supposed to do but I kept going back. All of the animation had a Victorian feel, it may have been Alice in Wonderland themed but if it was it was definitely based on the novels not the movies. I think there was a walrus. This has been bugging me all day, I've even had my little brother (who doesn't remember it at all) looking it up. If you guess this, you're a superstar. Help?

Hi All
sorry if this is not the right place for this question, I just would like to ask if some of you know the name of an old windows game (probably windows 3.1 or 95 or even DOS) featuring what would have been a 'caterpillar' (at least I think) which was represented by a $ sign. Its name was (probably) Jimmy. The game had many levels, a blue background with floors, walls, enemies (rolling balls) and the caterpillar (controlled by the user) all in white. The caterpillar could just run and jump, and I think you had to collect something to pass the level, not even sure about that. If anybody knows the name of it or has some hints about it it would be nice.
Thank you

Hi,

Me and my sister are searching for an old rpg game we used to play around late 90's or early 2000. We can't remember much about the story but we think the game started with the main characted founding his home on fire. He founds his mother dead insinde. The main character had red-ish hair.

The gameplay was pretty bloody/gore, you could for example cut the head of chickens and see them running around making a bloody mess.

The story was pretty dark, but with lot's of humour as well. The setting was medieval but including magic n stuff.

Can't really remember much more, the games name might have been the main characters name..

Thanks!
