For the old rts with different races, that could be starcraft or warcraft.

Please help with my 2:
1. SNES game where you pick from different characters and the set out on a ship. You attack other ships and recruit ships from them. You had a supply limit that was always being used up forcing you to attack other ships to collect loot. Eventually you could sell to the new world and collect gold and silver.

2.A SNES game in a prehistoric era where you could recruit dinosaurs to help. If you beat a board with a one of the dinosaurs you could then pick them to use in other boards. If lost the dinosaur before the board was over you could not pick that dinosaur for other boards. You were a person riding the dinosaurs.
1. That sounds kind of like Sid Meiers Pirates! Gold but it was on Gemesis/Mega drive not SNES. There was an NES version though.

2. That could be either Joe and Mac or Adventure Island 2.

This game I played for the PC when I was little was a medieval game where the intro movie show what I was a town and everything was normal then some type of monsters like a dragon or creatures started destroying the town and killing the villagers. The game play was FPS and you went through what I remember was what resembled a dungeon of a castle and you would go through picking up items and you would fight with your fists till you found a sword or usually fire magic. Occasionally you would run into giant ants in the dungeon that would try to kill you and were pretty much impossible to kill if you were unarmed and only used your fists! I completely forget what the name of the game is its an older PC game probably for windows 98 I think any suggestions appreciated!

Anyway i am also looking for a game. Its an old pc game, a 2d platformer.
You played as a mine worker with a lamp on his helmet. You could shoot bullets that were in the size of your body. You had many different levels and monsters, the goal was to collect diamonds if im not mistaken. I remember green aliens or something. The levels were all simply designed in a 2d manner with metalic platforms and dirt terrain. Most of the game happened underground. Your main character is really small, like half an inch tall on your screen.

Thank you.
Crystal caves! An awesome game by apogee, it might be it. It fits all the criteria, at any rate :).

I figure a quid pro quo should work here, after Taj's request :))).

I'm looking for a decently old game (I think it was made no later than 1996 or so), in which you play a witch. It is a 2D platformer, and you get spells, I forget whether you pick them up or you get them at the end of levels. That's pretty much all I remember about it, but in the old DOS days, the folder was labeled "CAULDRON" and I have yet to decipher what game this was. I realize this is a crap-shoot especially since I don't have too much information, but any help is appreciated!

Many choices here. Freelancer, starlancer, tachyon, nexus: jupiter incident, all off the top of my head. If not, go back and replay Freespace (and ST and 2) with friends!

Does anybody remember a game for Atari ST/STe which was a First Person adventure set in a pyramid?

The game begins with you standing by a plane, having just landed next to a pyramid; the object is to enter the pyramid, find your way around various rooms/puzzles/mazes etc, and get (I think) to the top room before a Solar Eclipse, and thus save the world from total destruction...

It wasn't a particularly amazing game, but I'd like to play it again... I always thought it was just called "Pyramid", but I've searched so many sites of old Atari games with no luck so far.

EDIT; Found it! Reading my own post made me think of searching "Atari ST Total Eclipse", don't know why that didn't occur to me before...

Hello again people, remembered 2 more games that need to be identified!

1) This one was for PC. The genre was adventure/sandbox, where you controlled your mouse and could interact with the environment and the characters in it. The story was about a particular kind of alien species, that, as I remember, crashed on some planet. You needed to rebuild their shuttle for them to leave. You could make them mate, rename their children, color them, cure them in case of illnesses, etc. The game itself contains copious amounts of different alien technology that you could have interacted with. I also remember that you had a special kind of empty space on the right side of the screen, where you could put different stuff that you'd take. One particular device that I remember was a sort of "poo-thrower", which when turned on, would shoot out poo. Besides your aliens, there were also alien enemies, some dogs if I remember correctly. Your aliens were small, a bit hairy creatures, with big eyes and a wide head, in the shape of a horizontal tube. They had long ears as well. Also, when these aliens would mate, females would get pregnant, and then pop out eggs. These eggs were colored differently each time.

2) The second game was also for PC. It was really a small one, that usually was on the disc with compilations such as: 100 PC Puzzles, or 500 PC games (you get the idea). It was a puzzle, where your goal was to reach a certain finish block. You controlled 3 type of characters, a bee, a red kangaroo and a blue elephant(or hippo). Each of the characters had special abilities peculiar to them. For example, the kangaroo could jump over 1 block, the bee would fly over cracked ones, and the elephant(or hippo) could push stones. What I also remember for sure(almost) that the background music either had the theme of Godfather, or the musical (no vocal) version of Nirvana's "The Man Who Sold the World".

Thank you very much for your time! Please also check out page 36 for yet another game that I am searching for! :)

Alright, I can get behind this. All I remember of the game in mind is:

-It was on the N64
-It was first-person
-The first level is you escaping from a prison cell
-It has a sort of medieval-y look to it. I never got far enough to call it straight fantasy.
-You may or may not have started with a rusty pole or hunk of metal for a weapon.

Super Cauldron seems to match this description. Appropriately enough.

It sounds like one of the Creatures games. I believe Creatures 3 takes place in a spaceship setting.

Hi All,

Chasing a game... It was on the first PC we ever owned... Black and white and was played over a series of 5 1/4" floppies... Loaded out of a command type dos based system...

You were some random guy and you were an assistant or such to a sorcerer... He would appear and tell you something... Then disappear... It was a 2d walk off the side of the side of the screen type game, then into the next room (I think anyway)...

You were in a house on a mountain and the sorcerer would tell you not to leave... You could walk around the house for hours... If you left the house and headed to the beach or forest the sorcerer would eventually find you and zap you into a pile of dust and the game ended...

Can't remember the point to it exactly... The game would have to be from the early 90's?

Cheers,
Tim

Hi All
Can anyone kindly suggest the title of this game I used to play in the mid/late eighties?
Platform could have been Amiga 500 or Pc, not sure.

3D first person puzzle / shoot?em up type video game

A bland alien complex with many levels protected by alien type sentry robots
You wore a multifunctional environmental suit which needed regular power ups to progress by either destroy the sentry robots who dropped red power up globes or you retrieved these from locked rooms which can be accessed by matching the alien symbols written on the doors with the game?s supplied black rotary puzzle wheel.
I believe you had to reach the very top level to destroy angel like alien robots to complete the game.

I seem to recall the game started with you locked in a prison cell with an over sized table and chair. All through the game you had to discover secret door/switches to gain access to different parts of the complex while tackling even more capable sentry robots.
Hi All
After a few hours researching I finally found the game in question.Although, I must admit my description was somewhat confusing as this was based on 2 memorable games I used to play at the time.
The game I was searhing for was CYBERCON III (1991 for the Amiga & PC) the other that was confusing my description was DRILLER..............

I've got a pretty vague one. It was either late 90s or early 2000s, and it was a sim type of game about managing an island or country. There was stuff about forests, I remember one option was 'slash and burn' to increase production. You had to research technologies, there was stuff about making sure your paths were connecting and I think there were locals/indigenous folk in the forest you encountered sometimes.. The graphics weren't bad, and it was the type of game you got with a new PC I think.
Anyway, if anyone can figure it out from my shoddy description I'd be amazed.

Okay this is a long shot but theres a game I remember playing only about 7-9 years ago. I think it may have been installed in the new XP computer we got or was on one of the many games we got in with the computer. Anyway it was a maze game or something like that and you had to guide a blue (i'm pretty sure that was the colour) marble ball around but there would be invisible bricks and other tiles in your way, I know it's very vague but I can't really remember. You could also make your own maze, there was water tiles and invisible bricks and other obstacles that you could place anywhere.

I know I probably will never find out what it's called but it's worth a shot.. if any ideas spring to mind please tell me! Thanks
