Hi guys, this has been bugging me no end... I am after a specific game type, but the only one i remember was for teaching us about the wwII in school (so about 1992-1996) it was like a graphical image of a street, and you could choose your *guide* i think one was a little girl, one was an old woman and one was a soldier???

It was photographic graphics, (as in still picture photos), you could ask these *guides* anything you wanted, like *how old were you when the war started/what was your job/where did you live* etc, but if you asked code breaking questions such as *what did you have for dinner last night/how old are you now/where do you live today* etc the *guides* would reply with stuff like *can you please say that again/what on earth are you talking about/what do you mean* etc

I know the above *game* was for schools, but have there actually been any *game, games* like this? available to the public? like an adventure game? the above program, when the *guides* replied, it would be in a *true voice* so the girl sounded like a girl, the soldier sounded like a soldier etc

Failing that, have there been any *create your own story/ending* type games that are similar to the above?

Thanks

I remember playing a game when I was a kid that I'd love to find again.
It was a 3rd person space strategy game. It had different sizes and styles of ships, all the way up to a really big circle-looking thing that was a big base defense station. While empire building was done turn-based, Battles were fought in a different screen that was real-time, or turn-based real time. I seem to recall that the dominant weapon was lasers, and it showed the line of the laser as it fired from one ship to another. I seem to remember the dominant color of the battles being pinkish, or fuchsia, although I'm pretty sure it was post-CGA graphics era.
It seems like different planets had different atmosphere types and you had to build a colony ship that matched that planet type.
I also remember that you could set time to pass, and as it did, the game played arpeggio-like music as time passed. (But this little detail might have been a different game, lol).

Any ideas? It seems like it was around 94-98?
I looked at the Space Empires and Star Control series, but I don't think it was any of those. It was pretty similar to Star Control though.

My brother thinks it may have had a variation of "colonization" in the title.

Another game or 2, the first one:
early 90s?
was a kind of rpg/adventure game?
the scenes were still, hand drawn images
The only place you could walk in real time was the world map
i remember a cut scene... you would be walking (floating) down this dark corridor, and at the end would be a kind of hooded grim reaper? (think it was the game over screen)
First area (scene/screen) of the game you were fishing, then some kind of ranger/warden (looks like aragorn) comes up to you, you find a locket in the water???
another scene there was a ranger in a tree called shiela?
final scenens i remember, quite a fair bit into the game, you stand in front of a plaque, and the quest is to make the image right to get 2 stones/jewls? there is an elf in the tree
the other one is that the battles were like those online card games, where you would see the IMAGE of the creatur and the Image of your party

game 2 early 90s (i remember this game, but have a question about it)
It was Freddy Pharkis: Frontier Pharmacist (or something)
Im trying to find a web browser where i can play the full game online for free (one that emulates it as well as i have windows 7) i have searched and searched and all i can find are the demo

Thanks

I remember playing this game with my best friend's older brother once. I think it may have been an N64 game but I could be wrong. It was an action game where you could chose to play as a man or woman. The man had swords or something while the woman had guns, I think. I just remember having to travel through this Japanese-styled map and kill enemies. At first, I thought the woman was Lara Croft, but I don't think it is. I've been trying to find out what it is for ages!
Perfect Dark or Fighting Force?

No problem. I actually found this website earlier today and noticed how many people were struggling.
This is way better than an ice bucket challenge.

Hi,

Trying to find out a PS1 game. I'm like 99% sure it was a PS1 game. It was sort of anime-ish, with the characters and all being asian. It was sort of a hack and slash game with the camera angle being looking down from above etc. Can't really say mutch about it but maybe there were different characters and there were a few boss fights etc. Sorry don't remember much used to play it as a kid.
Bump.
Hack and slash game, been looking everywhere for it but haven't seen it mentioned at all.

This late 80's early 90's DOS game was primarily about animals and I think had a series of mini games. I remember a ginger cat that meowed on the main page of the game. There was also a frog that you had to guide through a maze to get the fly. There was also a forest scene with various forest animals, but I can't remember what you had to do with the animals. It was a simple game targeted at young kids. Does anyone remember? It's driving me nuts!
Any ideas? The forest/wood had a deer and a raccoon in it. And I remember the 'froggy went a courtin' song played while you did the maze. It was point and click / arrows game

Hi there. Im looking for a pc game. I played it around 2005. The cursor was the sight of a shotgun and the objective was to hit moving objects. The majority of these were ducks or birds, but you could hit passing planes, a little spider that was hanging from a tree, balloons written with different numbers (the points you would earn if you hit them), etc. I think the name of the game was in german or similar. The background was like a field or crops. You could move side to side, like in a side-scrolling game. In the center there was a tree. Like a very modern duck hunt (the NES game). I hope you know what im talking about. Sorry about my english. Thanks!

I have 2 games that are driving me NUTS. I cant remember their names but I remember them vividly! Any help would be awesome!

1st game:
Mid 90s
PC
First Person
3D
Had an FMV Sequence as an intro - very bladerunneresque
You play as some sort of Explorer flying around a ship on Mars.
You can deploy a wise cracking AI rover that you could control to enter various buildings
Time Travel plot twist
Air to air combat is involved.
Has a name similar to "Terminal Velocity". Don't count on that though....
you can accidentally rollover the rover, to which the AI berates you.

2nd Game:
Mid 90s
PC
FMV On Rail Shooter with FMV cutscenes. Including some creepy updates on the fate of other parts of the world.
Aliens are invading and sucking up people, not unlike the movie "Skyline"
One of the early levels has you flying over the backside of the Hollywood sign.
Had an interesting "lives" system in which every time you were shot down the charters would be more and more concerned about your deteriorating physical condition until they are ultimately unable to revive you.
Had a sequel.

This is my first time reaching out to people about finding these games. any Help would be great!

I just Discovered that the Second game is called SHOCKWAVE ASSAULT. it was released on PS1, 3DO, and Sega Saturn as well as PC.

Im Still looking for the first one!

No no it wasnt either your Character was actually a robot and you could build a spaceship. I think it was mainly like a racing game but I just fucked around and changed what robot I was.
