Right, I have been trying to think of a name of a game for a while but have had no luck.
This game was for the ps1 I believe, I used to play it when was very young, about 4 or 5 maybe with makes this game a 90's game. The game was all about planes in aerial combat. It was a birds eye view of the battle and you were constantly flying forwards. it had a space invaders feel to it. the planes you used to be able to pan at all had different fighting styles and they all had a cool special ability when you built up enough points. The hole mechanic of the game was that you shot at planes coming the towards you (so from the top of the screen and down.)
Any help with this would be appreciated.

I've been searching for this game for a while now. It doesn't help that I was fairly young at the time. All I remember is that to start the game I had to select robo on my cousins computer in Italy... the game is a 2D scrolling world (you can go back and forth within one level so not forced to continue on) about (i think) a robot. that when you pressed space-bar would stretch and grab on to something or just keep stretching. You could jump into a funny looking car that could move on its own at the end of level 1 which was a world that went up and down alot (like Hills I assume) but quite simple level. Other levels had items you could pick up that would heal or make you immune for a while and I believe one would kill you on the spot. the game had a scrolling world level selector. there are more than 40 levels at least.

I remember playing this and Commander Keen IV (recently found the game) and a tetris game that I think was called block out. probably 1993-1996, the computer wasn't quite running windows 3.1 yet I think
The stretchy move is exactly what James Pond does.

The "Robo" you're talking about launching could be short for Robocod, which was the name of the sequel (early 90's).

It was a 2D sidescroller, but I only played it on Gameboy and the level design you describe doesn't sound right. But it did have the car you described, so I'm fairly sure that's what you're looking for.

No wonder I could never find it, it's exactly that game, thanks !

Okay this drives me crazy for a long time now.
The game I'm remembering was a car related SNES game. Unlike most of the car games back then, it wasn't driving races on tracks, it was more like a stock car pit fighting thing.
You could choose between like 10-15 different characters, all with their specifications (concerning weapons, health and stuff). I'm not quite sure what the goal was, but I think you had to bump enemy cars off the edge of the "map". Or destroy them somehow.

The characters were mostly not-human, if I remember correctly, but I know I found them hilariously funny back then when I was like 8yo. So maybe they had funny quotes or appearance, I don't really know...
I checked all the lists of car related SNES games I could find, without results. A friend of mine told me you could obtain a trophy in one of the SSB games, that would resemble a character of said game, but I couldn't find anything.

As I said, I checked a lot of lists, so I know it's not Battle Cars. And all the other car games I found where racing simulations, whereas my game isn't a simulation at all.
So maybe someone remembers it, since it's obviously quite unknown. Please, I want to know the name of that game. Maybe it's not even funny anymore, but I just need clarity.
Bump.
And I remember another game. It was kinda like Heroes of Might and Magic (an early one, like 2 or 3), but I swear it's none of them. Does someone know another game series similar to HOMM?
It wasn't Rock n Roll Racing?
No, definitely not. I'm 100% sure you weren't driving a track, it was more like roaming freely in a specific area. And the characters stuck out of the cars like in Super Mario Kart, so that you could see them.

Trying again...

2D DOS computer game, played in in elementary school so it had educational value, based around puzzles, the part that stands out in my memory is a still-screen where some random thing is shown blocking a doorway and you have to solve a puzzle to remove it; the object I always remember is a giant stuffy (or maybe it was runny, I dunno) human nose.

Hi guys! I can't remember the name of a "casual game" i played in 2002 more or less. It was like many other mini casual games from oberon media, reflexive arcade or game house, can't remember exactly... It was about in a 2d space environment, a little ship that you can upgrade with weapons (the last one had automatical aim but was less effective than the previous, SKILLLS!!)
You can also buy a better spaceship. I remember they look like submarines...
Many games like star defender etc exist but the difference beetween these games and THIS game is that to move you have to right clic and to fire, left clic, you only can go in the direction of the mouse cursor. the game speed was impressive and graphics not so bad...according to my brain ten years ago...
Sometimes missions were to rescue allied little ships (and let them in a magnetic? circle). I remember big ennemie ships that look like triangles and had flammethrower that rocks. Also to buy new upgrades you can take gold bonus which fall from ennemies.

i tried to found it with tags : space, battleship, invaders, pirates, arcade, shooting, clic to move

This is my childhoot, find this game will make me lose 10 years old!

Sorry if mistakes occured, i don't speak very well english

Thank you by advance !

? Platform: Windows 7
? Genre: RPG or Adventure RPG
? Year: First Played in 2012
? Perspective: third person
? Memorable Moments: I know you start the game as a simple knight and you have a friend or mentor who is a leader knight or someone special within the army. They also follow the king and near the end you are at opposite sides.
Somewhat useful information:
? Protagonist: Male knight, but you got to add more characters as you progress the story
? Weapons/Equipment: Swords, but each character had their own type if I remember right
? Goal: unsure
? Plot: The story started off as you were this young knight that leaves city, with this girl you save to help the king later I think you find out the king is being used by the real villain.
? Enemies: They looked like kind of cartoonish I think. You beat them by getting their HP to zero? They game had special bosses that you could find and beat near the end of the game that had HP in the millions and were crazy hard to beat.
? Puzzles: What kind of puzzles or challenges were there: You had to figure out how to proceed by talking to NPC?s and finding out information and by doing tasks like finding people or objects. There was a village that you come to and need to get past but the village is destroyed to get passed it you have to enter houses and proceed to different floors jump of off roofs, and figure out how to get from one end to the other.
? Can you remember any specific puzzles that stick to mind?: One I remember is you come to this city that is inside a mountain, in the mountain there is a Library and different sections. You find the right person and are tasked with finding something located to the west in an old abandoned I want to say something like a church with white pillars broken and lying around. There was also a point in the game where you came to this windy area on a plateau that you couldn?t land on before, you can when the story lets you and you need to find something there can?t remember what though sorry.
Kind of useful information:
? Art: Cartoony,
? Setting: A fantasy realm, I believe there was a bunch of DLC one for an extra dungeon but there was DLC for items and gold that you could use.
? Environment: There were different places such as towns, villages, castles, forests, you could travel in the air or on a boat the first transportation is a ship I believe. One of the first places you come to is a village that is like a gateway that you can enter a huge field or meadow that lets you proceed to the rest of the continent. While there night falls and the wall is being locked and as it is you save this little boy or girl. Then when day comes you are allowed to leave through the gates. This was also the place where you could come back to and find the special boss in the fieild. There is a city you come to that has this bridge and is located on like a peninsula. Later you come back to protect this city and defend the bridge so that they cannot enter.
? Tone/Mood: lighthearted not to serious
? Multiplayer: It was a solo game where you controlled your selected party and chose their actions.

Hey all, I remember playing this game when I was a kid because of the catchy theme song. Born in 83' so pretty sure it was in the 80's (possibly early 90s), and the game was on an Apple green/black screen computer (rainbow Apple logo on it) with the floppy disk. It was a robot/cyborg game where you controlled a guy in a robot/cyborg gear with a gun (he may have been a robot and not a guy). He looked a little like the Cyborg Ninja from Metal Gear Solid on PS1, but with a gun instead of a sword. You had the option to jump up a level or down (I think), but it was not side scrolling. Basically, the screen would display 1 room at a time. If up, then he would jump up into the next screen where a robot/cyborg enemy would be, and then you would battle them. I think they would fire a goo ( please refrain from inappropriate comments :) ) or something onto you or you onto them to inflict damage. There may have been a helper robot that recharged your life that looked a little like R2D2 (may be completely wrong). The thing I distinctly remember is the theme song, which I still hum in my head once and awhile. Although, the quality of the song was pretty weak, since the sounds were very simple on computers back then. That just shows how catchy the song was for me to still remember it. Tried looking online but came up with nothing, so hope someone has an idea of what it may be called. Thanks.

Maybe some people can help me out with finding out what the name of this game that has been out of my reach for so long.

It's an old PS1 game and I'm pretty sure it was a JRPG in the first part of it you play as a man with white hair(I think) and you end up finding a cursed sword to fulfill his dream or something then there is a time-skip and you end up playing as his son and go on a quest to defeat him since the sword turned him evil.

I remember fighting skeletons a lot and one part of it taking place on a pirate ship also I'm pretty sure the graphics were similar to Threads of Fate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-py48VkbL6Y

ok so quite awhile ago I played this car racing game on the original xbox it was four players all on the same screen(no split screen) and the objective of each race was to be the last person alive and you could get pickup boxes along the way with lazers and that sort of thing to try and knock the other players off the track.

What the cars looked like: ok so heres just a few of the cars I still remember. A black car with an 8 ball on the side, a pink car I cannot remember what it had. a green car with a fish on the side. a red car which I cannot remember what was on the side.

I can only remember one of the tracks but it was an ice map at the beginning of the race it had a cliff with which you could knock people down into and was pretty much just ice right through it.

Please if you can remember what this game is called its been annoying me for months now :/.

Almost sounds like Ephemeral Fantasia [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svRkd3iNgho], but that was a PS2 game, and the main antagonist was white haired, but the game doesn't start off that way... Any luck?

There's this really old game that I remember just a little about. It's on the Sega Genesis I think, because I remember playing Beauty and the Beast, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers too. The game was really hard for me way back then, when I was like 4, but I bet I could beat it now. The game was an RPG, I think, bear with me I vaguely remember any of it. What I really remember is that there is a town, a weapon shop and an inn for sure. When you go out of the town you go into like a maze you choose left, right, and forward. Occasionally you make a turn and find some wizardy guy. If you chose to pick forward to go to him, you die. There are monsters you can fight, but I don't really remember any other than like a green goo monster, pretty low level stuff I think. I hope you can help me find this game, I'd love to get an emulator and finally beat that old game!
