Old Games you remember playing but can't remember the name of.

Hello,
there was a game from early or mid 1990s, very dark, with graphic quality somewhere between Wolfenstein 3D and Doom, where you were driving a taxi (default view was first person), picking up persons or deliveries and have to make them in specified time. Dollars earned could be used for vehicle upgrades ie. minigun or ammo.
World was divided into approx. 4 areas - I remember city and countryside, and the next area could be unlocked after making some sort of special delivery (ie. bomb or bombs).
I have been looking for the title for quite some time now and I hope that you can help me.

if that is all you can remember, your best bet is just to type in 2d side scrolling space shooter into Google images, and just look for it.
You are more likely to find that way then the off chance we list the right title name.

I remember some parts.. you have sex with your lady in your bedroom.. I think after she leaves, all kinds of stuff is flying towards you that you have to dodge.
also a scene from a bathroom in a bar maybe? thats maybe the start of the game?
the scene are kinda in slowmo when you have to type and dodge things!

Signed up for this, been loving some stuff. I'm looking to see if this was just my imagination. There was a game that came out in the late 90s early 00's for the pc. It was supposed to be t his amazing P.V.P game, and it boasted about some huge cash reward. Something about traps and just being the best in the arena. Sort of gold in color for the poster/standee.

During hurricane Katrina me and my family went up north and stayed in a cabin together. My older cousins were playing a game I can't seem to remember well enough to find, but I do remember your character was a slave and was working for this evil character. There were also these bird things your character took care of and then the bad guy killed them or something, but one survived and you fed it an item that made it turn into this weird fire thing. I think it was a ps2 game. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I just remembered a game that I haven't thought of in 10-15 years. It was a pc game from the 90s I believe. It was 2d. You moved the character (which I vaguely remember to be a sort of white circle/square with a face) around the screen, left-right and up-down (i.e. the screen didn't scroll).
The goal was to collect (eat?) all of the lettuce (I remember thinking they were lettuce--could just be random green veg) while avoiding the stones. If a stone was above you (i.e. you ate lettuce from underneath of it) then it hits you in the head and you die.
The only other thing I can remember about it was that you had the option to change the icons to a bunch of other things. The one I specifically remember was that you could change the lettuce into dollar signs, but I think there were a bunch of options.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! In the meantime I'll go through the thread and see if I can help anyone else
EDIT: I FOUND IT! The game is called Watch Out, Willi! It's on archive . org if anyone else is looking for it.

Long time ago (10+ years) I have played an PC RPG game.The game was very jRPG-ish but I don't think that it was japanese. It had oldschool 2d graphic and it had top down view. The combat was turn-based(especially similar to the Phantasy Star series),during combat the background was black and in the lower part of the screen there was the window with your HP etc.
You fought all kind of enemies, I especially remember a creepy red/orange/brown grinnig octopus/squid/jellyfish.
In the opening graphic the hero(definitely a man) had blue hair and was wearing a red headband,grey vest(could be a bulletproof vest) and also was holding a shotgun in one hand(and a knife in the other hand,probably). The game was taking place on alien planet (probably it was a sci-fi setting).You were on a quest to find your lost friend and also I remember that at some point in the game you visit the aliens village but you can't understand them.
So yeah,that is pretty much what I remember.I hope it is enough to work with.

Hi guys when i was little i played a game on PlayStation 1 like parasite eve but not. You start as a female in a cut scene where she is sitting on a bed she is loading up her gun and tries to survive in a city but its not res 1 or 2 or 3. The first level start when she leaves her apartment and goes around in electric station killing like mutant zombies humans and animals or aliens its like a copie of RES games but i can't find the game it's on a Ps1. Please help.

I joined up just to ask this question, which has been driving me mad. I'm trying to track down a game for my younger brother, which we used to take turn playing around 1996-7 on PC. The game itself was a 2D scrolling shooting platformer, its graphics had a '95 vibe to them. It was kinda similar to Cybernator/Metal Warriors from what I can tell. You could choose between two different robot characters: one was big, red and stompy and had a "vulcan cannon" and the other one was a blue/white ninja jumpy robot with a melee sword attack. I think I remember a slightly rock/metal audio track to it. Unfortunately that's all I remember of the game. Can anyone help?
Ok guys, I like many others here created an account just to ask for an old game I played. I searched for the first 200+ page of this thread and can't find any that matches it.
The game is a top down game where soldiers fight of swarms of aliens. I played it on PC but it could possibly be a port from DOS or some other old console or not. It was 2D. The game was just a view of a stationary place, the camera didn't move and the character sprites was a bit small.
What I remember most is that there is flowers on the battlefield which we the player could squash or else the alien will eat and evolve into something that could lay eggs and make more aliens, the flowers spawn around on the map randomly. The lives was based on how many grunt soldiers running around the 3 or 4 playable characters (I remember co-op with 2 of my friends with each of us controlling different parts of the keyboard for our characters), basically as long as the grunts on our side is still alive we still can revive.
The first mission was in a desert like place that looked/felt like arizona desert. When we start any level there's like a countdown timer to the start of the alien swarm attack in which we can prepare a bit.
In later missions we are inside a building but most of the walls are destructible by the aliens and us so we had to lock the grunts in a room where the walls was indestructible (The door was either auto open or in a lock state we could toggle). We could command the grunts (through weird key combos) to either follow us, stand ground or let them do whatever they want.
Late late in the game a breed of the alien can either turn into a shadow or go underground (I'm not sure what it did but their sprite turned into a shadow-esque circle on the ground) and we couldn't fire at it until it showed up again.
There's also alien pods that spawn aliens besides from the laying egg one (which the players can destroy).
summary:
-Alien eats flower to evolve to something that lay eggs (egg laying alien is a big bigger and tougher to kill, flower is squashable to avoid evolved aliens)
-Single or multiplayer/CO-OP with controls on the same keyboard
-Some walls further in the game destructible
-Grunt soldiers is kinda a life meter, they get wiped out you can't revive
-Timer before swarm starts
-Grunt soldiers can be ordered to follow stay put or roam around
-there are rooms with lockable doors/gates that can be toggled by the player

Battle for Gliese
Planet Wars (almost like this http://www.hoagames.com/game/Planet-Wars, but it had shit loads of grunt soldiers that you had to make sure stay alive until the end of the level)
