This one is gonna require a true RPG nerd expert, I think.

It's an RPG (or level-up-your-guy game) I played when I was a kid, so it's from like -94 or earlier. It has really blocky, pixely, old-school graphics, I'm talking almost Zelda 1 blocky, and it's in 2D of course. It's a classic Western fantasy setting. I don't even know for sure if it's a commercial release.

The detail which sticks out in my mind is a puzzle where a wizard (I think) asks you a question you must pass, and what you have to do is go to a library in a different part of the world and look up his name, and you'll find a book he's written with the answer in it.

If someone actually comes up with this one I'll be impressed...

So i got a hard one

I played it in the 90s on windows 98.
It is like an military game where you randomly get a tank , jet or a buggy.
And sometimes you get an ultimate huge "tower" with guns and missiles.
All maps are as big as the screen and you can play it against a friend on the same keyboard.

Thanks in advance

Hi all,

I cannot remember the name of this game, nor could I explain it well.

It is a 2D game where frogs float around in the sky with odd movement paths and you are on the floor with a bow and arrow trying to kill them. There are a variations of sizes for these circular frogs; the bigger one is, the more it will multiply into after it's died.

For example:

1 big frog multiplies into 2 smaller frogs upon death.
1 smaller frog then multiplies into two even smaller frogs upon death and so on....

Also, there were 'king frogs'that wore a crown. That's about it about the frogs I remember. Then, you could get different weapons from enemies dropping them or from a treasure chest (Unsure if it was a treasure chest), which was occasionally in levels. The different stages were something like level 1-10 was the beach stage and so on. It was something along the lines of that. Also, when you completed a stage, there was a party type thing where balloons flew across the screen, and you could shoot them to get upgrades and different weapons. Lastly, I think I remember there being a shield that you could wear to prevent damage. (Damage is taken from a frog touching you from the random movement of the frogs, as mentioned before.)

I also believe there was a two-player co-op, on the same computer. I am unsure of the date in which I played this, nor when it was invented/created.

My apologies for being so vague, but I am hoping someone can help me find this game.

Hey guys, I need help remembering the name of an extremely old game. It was either on the Sega, Sega Master System, or Sega Genesis. For whoever can remember the name of this, or have any idea what I'm talking about, I'd consider you an expert.

This game is well over 10 years old, and was child-appropriate. This was more of a simulation-type game, in a sense. Basically, you played as a cursor or hand, and you'd place objects inside of a house.

The main thing that I can remember about this game is that you could place a baby and he'd crawl on the floor. You could place spooky looking trees that had eyes, and other objects. It was more of a side-scrolling game, although you couldn't scroll very far to the left or right, as it was within a single house. The view was facing a window, so imagine if you were looking at a wall with a window, and you have the ability to place given objects around the house.

I can't remember the name of this game for the life of me. Please help.
Bump. Game was surely by Sega, so if that helps anyone discover it, let me know asap.
Bump again. Still searching for it. Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi guys,

I played an arcade game in the same vein as Golden Axe or D&D back in the 90's. The general plot was to stop some evil guy with a huge army from conquering the world. You could choose from several typical fantasy stereo types (Male Figher, Female Wizard, Dwarf Barbarian, Female Elf Ranger, and maybe a cleric) but I always chose the Dwarf with a battle axe. It would always show you the boss of the level (usually a huge muscle bound man) first and then scroll to the left showing you all the minions you would have to fight through to get to him. There were also items you could get that would freeze the screen while the animation happened.

There were moves you could do like in a fighting game. A dwarf move I remember was where he would swing his axe down over his head, get the axe stuck in the enemy, swing it back over his head thumping the enemy's head on the ground behind him and then swing the axe forward to throw them off and into anyone in front of him.

I never beat the final boss. He looked like a normal sized man and he would quickly throw bombs with fuses. You had to beat him in a short amount of time like 1 minute or less. His bombs were difficult to avoid, but the real problem was that his bombs would hit himself. They would knock him over and you couldn't damage him much while he was down. When the timer ran out he would jump off a cliff into a waterfall. In the following cut-scenes everyone would celebrate you as a hero because there is no way anyone could have survived that fall... I remember the final scene showed the heroes bound and on their knees, bloodied with arrows sticking out of them. The boss had returned with an even larger army that no one could stop. I should have killed him when I had the chance.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

The game was an Isometric Strategy Game, you could play with three races, Blue Humans (littly bear like), with medieval buildings, Yellow Insectoids, and Elves. It was only a demo on a game disc, but I also forgot the name.
It's all I can remember, if someone knows it, it would be very great !
Thank you for all !
Sounds kinda like a German game called Die Völker. To be honest, I'm not sure what the English name is, but if you google that, you should be able to find it.

Edit: Looks like it's called The Nations. Hope it's what you're looking for.

These details are very vague, but all help is appreciated. The time frame would be between 1998 and 2002, and the object of the game is to collect different colored gems (possibly inside a dungeon). I believe the toughest gem to collect is a black gem. Again, all help is appreciated.

Last two days a game is popping up in my head. It is probably pre 2000 era. IIRC it is a FPS and the setting is kinda futuristic urban. There are only floating cars and i remember the police cars parked around being similar to the pizza hut logo if viewed from the side. Not Project Eden. I've played it off of a PCGamer or some kind of magazine CD filled with demos probably, who knows.

Hey guys! So I've been trying to remember the name of this game for months. Sorry for the vagueness below, I would REALLY appreciate any help!

3rd person, top-down pc RPG from the late 90s/early 2000s. No party, just you. Looked 3d-ish, but may have just been well modeled. You started the game in a crypt of some kind, chasing down a vampire sorceress lady. (Have NO idea why you start there or who she is.) After you fight through some skeletons, you witness her killing a main 'good guy' who was an ass, who gives a speech about his hubris being his downfall. You travel through a few different dungeons and open areas (tropical jungle, winter wasteland, etc.) before arriving at this vampire castle where you have your final showdown with her.

There was a wide variety of weapons (shurikens, hammers, swords, shields, etc.) armor options, and spells, but no classes. You fought various undead minions throughout the game, and the ultimate weapon in the end (that I believe you pieced together throughout the game) was a magical halberd/spear/staff that was a great melee weapon that also did magical damage and I believe had special item-specific spells.

And the mouse made a golden sparkly trail on the menu screen.

Is this ringing a bell to anybody?

I just HAVE to ask before I explode. I don't remember anything about the plot of the game I'm trying to remember. What I remember is. I think it was in the 90s. It was a top-down ??rpg??. It was definatelly 3d-ish. You start of near a river or a lumber mill and your teacher/master gives you a tutorial on how to do attacks, I remember you could do spinning attacks if you clicked and spun your mouse. Then after you're done you go off to some castle?? You get some sort of magic sword with ranged attacks then the villain comes. It was a guy in red armor and gray hair. You run off. Then I don't remember any of the following parts of the game except the part where I used to be stuck. You were fighting a demon of some kind above a lava pit and you could only hit him with your magic sword and I think it was only when he was recharing. The game definatelly had potions. I know this is kind of vague but I'm dying inside. I HAVE to know.

Okay I cant remember hardly anything about this game. It had really poor graphics and a tiny blonde boy character and you had to hike on a mountain trail or adventure or something and you moved up the screen and I think it played like folk music and there were little challenges along the way I dont know but I know there were rocks and barrels. Please help me if you can even vaguely remember and help describe!

Hey!

I'm new here, but seeing as how I found this forum I decided to ask about a game that I can't remember it's name.

Here are the details:

It's was an older PC game(I'd say the time era was 2000 or later on, but I could be wrong) that was about driving a military vehicles, starting with similar to Humvee in 3rd person view(not sure if you could switch to 1st person) while aiming and shooting the weapons with your mouse. In the later missions you gained access to other vehicles such as tanks that would aid you.

I remember that in the first mission you had to destroy some sort of an enemy base/prison camp. You and your superior officer each in your own vehicle drove close to the base, but your officer got spotted and killed and you had to complete the mission all by yourself. It was rather hard because of all the defensive turrets that fired upon you as soon as they gained sight of you.

The second or third(I don't remember exactly) mission was in a large highway tunnel with a huge traffic jam inside. You started at one side of the tunnel and had to make your way to the other side of the tunnel where a few of the enemy vehicles were that you had to destroy. In order to get there you either had to blow up or push civilian vehicles out of the way or use the railway tunnel that was on the side of the highway, but you had to be careful otherwise you could get destroyed by the passing train, so you had to time it precisely.

In one of the last missions you had to destroy some of enemy radar stations/beacons in some mountains and here you had other vehicles you could use, such as tanks. In order to switch to the tank your main vehicle either had to be destroyed or there was a specific key that you pressed. This mission was really hard because enemy had cloaked/stealth tanks that were really armored and could destroy your jeep in one hit.

So if anyone knows the title of the game please post it here, I'd love to play this game again and you'd really help me out.

Thank you for taking your time and reading!

Jerry
Just a bump from me, I'm sure someone will be able to help me.

Please Help! I played a game on pc as far as I can remember, back in mid 90s.
It was similar to dig dug, but no monsters chased you. It was more a puzzle game.
You had to clear grass or soil, collect gems and a key, you need the key to get to next level, you could push rocks and drop them by digging under them. It was, I think, a similar time to bubble bobble, but not 100% on that.
If anyone knows the name please please tell me!
Thanks for any help :)
