Here's one that I can't remember, save a few small details.

I remember the game was fairly old, and you were managing... I think it was a lordship. I remember you had to gather resources and manage things, in order to build things like suits of armour, and castles. I remember the progression was something like... palisade to walled palisade, to keep, to things like that.

I remember it especially because of the shitty intro cutscene in a dungeon at the beginning, and that it ocurred mostly on a world map. Any help with this would be appreciated, however.
Maybe

Can't remember the name but it came out in the 2000's I believe.
It was a mystery solving game. You were a sister and brother team
(I think they were brunettes or redheads, can't remember exactly)
Their grandmother/aunt/relative lived or owned a mansion or a hotel like Bed & Breakfast
and had weird guest living in the place. You solve puzzles, riddles, math problems, memory games.
I can remember only one and it was where they you had to cook quiche. But you had to cook up
other things too. You also had to go around collecting/trading items for objects to complete certain tasks.

Nice to see this thing exists, I have endlessly searching for a game I used to sometimes play on the Primary School PC's, back in the 90's, From what I recall, a black background, a Red Maze or tight path, where you navigate an Egg, or egg like object to the goal.
Can't remember if it was times, or you couldn't touch the sides, or what, but I'm sure I had to frantically use the arrow keys to move and recall it being difficult in later levels.

does any of you guru's know what i'm talking about??
This is my 3rd time posting this....

It's not a whole lot to go on. I've tried to make a keyword search but haven't been able to produce anything that could match that. Is there any other detail you can think of?

It's not a problem re-posting questions though, as long as you don't post it multiple times per page. And I know it's frustrating to not get an answer, but sometimes no one knows what game it could be based on the clues provided.

Was it this game?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a computer game, early to late 90s.

The game was a mashup of side-scrolling space fighting a-la Zero Wing and Shoot'em up from a diagonal point of view.

You started off every "world" with space fighting and then you land in different levels and like continue by foot.

Thanks in advance,

-A.
Bumping
Last bump, hopefully someone knows :-/
Sorry can't help with name but sounds very similar to a game I've been searching for, mine was arcade though, prob just earlier than 1990, where the 'worlds' where planets (with alien names) you could select (no more than about 10 and not unlocked by completing them, you could choose any from the outset if I'm not mistaken) They all had their own different types of alien to fight and definitely a bit of flying before side scrolling on foot. Wasn't even gonna post due to how little I remembered but your quote reminded me and thought it was worth mentioning the mere whiff of scraps I can recall.

There was a NES game that was top down, something akin to bomberman in that you planted bombs and kept out of the way of the blasts but you had to make your way left to right across the screen, blowing up individual squares of landscape on alien worlds to get to the exit, randomly uncovering pickups. Think there was a space theme to it and each level size was about twice what was on screen and as you progressed you couldn't go back so anything you didn't pick up was lost. Screen might actually have scrolled automatically (albeit slowly) so you needed to keep up with it and not get trapped / run out of bombs and thus be dead

There were various baddies to avoid but that's about all I can remember so I'll be might impressed and grateful if anyone has played it.

So I played this PS1 game... it's a running-racing game similar to Running Wild. It has stages like adventures. Some of the characters include a boy, a white robot, a black evil robot and later in the game there is a Witch (I think it's like the boss) Some of the stages of the game is beach, tomb / grave type. I remember some of the buttons. L1 or R1 is the swing to the side and SQUARE is to jump. Pressing the square twice can make the robot like boost upwards.

I played the game like 10 years ago. Please help :( 've been searching for 2 years now.

2nd and last bump, if anyone knows please give me a sign... the game was lend to me when I was a kid by a dear friend who passed last month; that's why I really would have enjoyed replaying in, in her memory. Thanks to anyone who read and thought about it.

Hi, I'm looking for an old(ish) PC game (DOS but more probably Win95/98).
It is a platformer with a tiny wizard, but it is NOT Hocus Pocus. Though that is the most similar thing in the universe I guess. The first levels are in a nocturnal setting with oversized frogs, high grasses, maybe the moon in the parallax background. The plot starter, if I remember correctly, is a pretty stereotypical abducted fiance/princess/whatever related to the protagonist.
a shot in the dark here, but try

Dark Things (1991)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7K3SRjAMxo
Although it's not that (the colors weren't so simple, they were quite what you would see in Trine 1, or pretty close to that) it's very similar! It may have been a sort of more recent clone that apparently no one remembers, not even myself :p
Thanks, I may give Dark Things a play in any case.

I used to play a game on my old computer. It was cartoonish 2d and puzzle adventure, I think the icon had a guy with green shirt(the main character). The game started by showing us his room and something happened i think his mum or something called him and when you clicked the door handle, it fell of on th ground. You clicked around to get items and try to put the handle on. When you did it , and opened the door, you were to diferent place. Later you see aliens and other things like robots and stuff. I never finished it... You know the feelling.. Please help...

That's "Out of Order" (2003). The game is freeware too, so it's easy to find.

Hi, I need help with a game I can't remember the name of.
I played PC game sometime early 2000's. It was some kind of strategy turn-based game. It was a team of guys and girls with mechas. The main guy had a mecha with fire/dragon power, one of the girls (purple mecha) had a lightning bolt power and one guy had an earth quaker power and one girl (orange mecha) had a wind power. The game was played on a map, on which different parts of the map had different attributes, like on the cliff, wind power is most effective, and on the trees, fire is most effective.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

UPDATE: I found it! It's the Battle of Youstrass, and its remake War of Eustrath

Hey all, I've suddenly remembered a game I played probably some time around 2004-2005, it was a 3d futuristic game, I believe a shooter. It was set outdoors, or at least the level I played was, in a sort of an arid grassland almost halo like environment. I think there were vehicles? It was a demo, and there were two parts to it or something to that effect, the other part had an elf or alien protagonist or something? I'm really sorry, I know this isn't much to go on, but if someone remembers what this is that would be amazing! I think I found it somewhere on the internet as a downloadable game, it wasn't browser based

There was a game I remember playing and I could swear it was called Slaughter Machines, would of been on the PlayStation one because I remember playing the ghost and the shell demo around the same time. If someone could confirm this game and prove I'm not mad that would be great. To the best of my knowledge it was mainly over the top tanks vs tanks with crazy missiles and all that, just one snowy map sticks out in my mind. So PlayStation one or very early PlayStation two and something like slaughter machines.

No, from what I recall, it was much more basic than that, controlling a rather plain egg, the path/maze was so tight that you could only move left right up down, but the path was just big enough to fit the egg, I'm it was timed though and I always failed after a few levels, I remember it was on an old PC and only could play it in school possibly early 90's.
