Hi. Looking for a game i only played the demo of back in the day, Basically you played the bad guy and you had to defend your castle against the good people attacking. You selected the types of monsters you wanted and just let them loose in the battlefield. You could even capture heroes and mutate them together to make new monsters. I also remember you could join the battle and fight as well.

any help would be appreciated :)

First of all hello there! :)

I've been looking for a game for a long time but no-go...
We're talking about a competitive tetris-like falling 1x3 block game. The blocks were object collections depending on the level and scene. I remember a level where CD's, DVD's fell off and you tried to match them obviously. But the key is; there were some kind of power-ups which you use to demolish/hurt opponents situation or help yours. Some kind of lightning bolt i remember and some bombs blowing the lower levels also... I remember another scene where the dropping blocks were squishy, colored slime monsters(like the pokemon MUK or GRIMER). Every scene had a specific background. Like all tetris-like games, when you reach the top, the game is over. Don't remember anything about music, but being a music producer and having a whole career of music, and remembering many of the good musics from my old times, i suppose nothing specific was good about music. It was a PC Windows game possibly win95/98. Absolutely sure that it's not DOS. The blocks were animated btw.

Couldn't find. So help maybe? :)
Sounds like some combination of Columns and Puyo Puyo (Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine), could it be a spin-off of one of those?

I remember this game quite distinctly, but I'll be dammed if I can find it.

It's a game in which you pilot both a helicopter and a tank ( you start out in a helicopter and use a tank in a later mission, underground).

Graphically, it looks simillar to Recoil, but it's considerably more colourful.

You attack both air and ground targets in your helicopter, at one point in the first mission, you're helped by another helicopter, which you're told will be joining you by someone over the radio who speaks more like a narrator than someone in an army. The first mission atleast is fairly long ( or maybe it just seems that way to me now ) and is broken up by 'cutscenes' where this guy talks to you and tells you what you'll be doing next.

The enviroment you're fighting in looks fairly temperate, grassy. However, later on you also fly to a tropical island. And towards the end you're in a snowy area.

The game ends with you in a helicopter fighting a giant space ship of some sort. After shooting various bits off of it, you fly your helicopter into one of it's bays, blow up it's reactor, and rush out as it begins to explode. The game then ends with a cutscene of your landed helicopter and you, the pilot, standing outside of it, with the spaceship crashed way below into the snowy valley you were fighting in. - This being the first time you actually see "yourself" out of the helicopter.

That's about it. I also distinctly remember that the game had FOUR difficulty settings, and each difficulty setting was represented with a picture of a pilot with various variants of helmets and equipment on. The helicopter missions were also far more numerous than the tank ones, I think.

Oh, and, ofcourse, it was third person. And it was on the PC.
No one has any idea ? Can't be THAT many helicopter/tank games =p

Here's mine. It was a PS1 game, I can only remember two things:
1) The graphics were blue wireframe(I think it sometimes changed colour)
2) You piloted...(unsure here) choppers, planes and whatnot, futuristic ones(You had EMPs and whatnot.. my memory is still fuzzy).

Sorry for the bare information, I can barely remember any of it, yet I can remember how fun it was.

I remember playing this one game as a kid where you played this cowboy who had his entire family killed. What I clearly remember about this game was that it was on PC and it was a FPS.

I'm trying to remember the name of this spaceship game I played as a kid. It was probably made in the mid to late 80's. You started out in a little space pod that had a single laser on the nose. You could fight other spaceships, disable them, and take the ship as your own. There were also space stations where you could upgrade the various ships you captured (new ships, weapons, shields, mini-fighters or bombers, ect.). Eventually you could end up with a fleet of ships that you captured or bought ranging from small fighters, medium cruisers, and even up to carriers that was filled with several mini fighter ships and I think bombers as well. The universe you were in was basically never-ending, likely randomly generated as you moved along in any direction. All I know for sure is it was a computer game.
Any help in discovering the name of this game would be extremely helpful! Easily the best video game I played as a kid.

Elite ? Probably not. too easy =p

If you want a simillar but more modern game though (owning fleets, space stations etc while starting out in a little ship, and large universe ) then I would easily reccomend X3: Terran Conflict, a bit obtuse to learn, but probably something you'd like if this kind of sandbox appeals to you.

I'm looking for an old prison escape game.

Okay, so I remember playing it as a child. It was released in the 90s. It has an isometric view. You are a prisoner, and you have to escape. There is a gym, a diner, there's a guy hitting his face on the wall. I didn't make too musch progress, but I remember stealing a spoon from the diner, and I could steal a metal rod from the gym. At night you have to return to your cell. Oh, and Fools Garden's Lemon Tree plays in the background. I would really like to play that game once more. I'd appreciate any help.

It was a kind of an adventure game, you could pick up stuff as I said, I found a spoon and a metal rod, but I couldn't really use them (I was like 4-5 at the time, and my English wasn't pretty good).

I clearly remember, that you could walk around with the cursor keys, you could talk to people, you had some kind of timer (at noon, all inmates had to go to the diner or the guards beat you, also at night you had to return to your cell), and there were a lot of NPCs - guards, other inmates. Some had personalities, I guess they could help you escape later on. Like the guy bashing his head on tha wall (I think he said he lost something, or something about a girlfriend.) Also there was a metal detector at the gym's door, so you couldn't bring the spoon in.

The view looked a bit like Sims. The prison was quite big, you could walk around during the day (you had a few days to escape, for your trial was close and you probably recieved capital punishment or something similar).

I am looking for a game from the late 80's to early 90's. It was an air land sea style game. You started with your base and had to explore the world/map with a ship plane or tank. The whole world was covered and as you explored the area around you would come uncovered. You had to capture the enemy bases, build your armies. Build your navies. Build your airforce. It was a 2d style game.

Ok so I have a game that I just cant remember the name of and searching google etc has shown no results. In this game you play as a girl in some remote snow covered place inhabited by creatures and you can shoot your own food, rabbits etc. There was one puzzle i remember it was a piano and you had to "play" a missing piece of the classical song to unlock a door.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out? I remember playing a online team 3rd person shooter game probably in the 90s. You got to pick a green gunner who could shoot and move around freely, a red machine-gunner who planted and shoot, and I believe a orange grenadier. The concept was just to join a game and shoot the other team and I think it kept score.

After searching for awhile I cant find anything close to it. Thx

Appreciate the help :) I came across to those too and the one i'm looking for is a little different than those. However, the layout looks nearly the same. The thing in the middle, two play-fields etc... But about the graphics, the game i'm talking about had a little 3d in it. The objects fell were 3d.. They were turning their backs or animating in a 3d way.. Thanks for the help again but still no-go.. :)

After hours of googling I found it!

It's called "La fuga" by Exelweiss Entertainement. I just need to get my hands on the English version somehow.

EDIT: Never mind, found it. It's English name is Argon, but it's also seems to be titled The Fugitive in some countries. It was published in Europe by Phoenix Entertainment in 2003. I have found an Eglish version.

Just posting this here so if anyone is searching for it google will post this in the search results, and they won't have to spend hours looking for it like I did.

Cheers!

Looking for an old game, I think it was called Gnomes. It is kinda rare and I only played demo.
You start on the surface with a few gnomes, but then you can make your gnomes dig tunnels and create little rooms underground. Collect resources, build things like fire. Over time they start to multiply. and as you dig deeper, you meet other gnomes, who will then try to kill your gnomes.

the game was 3D, but the view was from the side, like a platformer.
